  You can't do that with the built-in tools of Windows XP, you will need to use a third-party tool such as Partition Magic or Paragon Partition Manager for this.  Do a search on the net for other partitions similar management software.

  The disk must not have any volumes nor contain no data until you can change to a basic disk. If you want to keep your data, back it up or move it to another volume, before converting the disk a basic disk.

  Note: If you convert Dynamic Drive reader Basic with Windows installed Windows does not start.

  AFAIK, restore (F8) image of HDD factory settings will delete all data on the C: drive. Using recovery disks it will delete all data on the local local c and D: (hard disk image file creation).   Have you tried to cast to an int?  something like:

  double d = 24000000.0;

  int i = (int) d;

  String s = "" + i; "

  Then just add the rest of your chain to get precision you would like...

  double rest = d & i;

  rest = rest * 100;

  s += "." + (int) remains;

  You would lose little accuracy due to rounding problems, but you can use the functions of rounding in the api to get a closer answer.
