  If you go into the advanced with F8 boot menu after you start the computer, you can start this feature of Toshiba. And then select Repair my computer and some Windows files will be loaded. Then, you can choose the function to drive HARD Toshiba Recovery and follow the instructions on the screen.

  The Toshiba Recovery disk, you must create first, or have you done this yet? Normally, you get a reminder of recovery message after the first start of the laptop that you must burn this disc.   As far as I know Satellite P300/P300D comes with Vista and not with Win7 for Win7 installation drive recovery HARD work not at all. You can install Vista, maybe, but certainly not Win7.

  Because of this, I assume that you have installed your own version of Win7. Can you confirm this?

  Usually the A300 (European series) has been equipped with HARD drive recovery option which would be you allows to recover the laptop using the files on the HARD drive. But if this is not possible while something went wrong with the maybe HDD it s due to the infection by the virus

  In any case if you are not able to recover the laptop using the recovery of HARD drive you need the recovery disc.
  You can order it as suggested by resident on the other hand, you can use the MS Windows Vista disk and can download driver Toshiba page.
