How to copy my drive c:/to a flash drive?

How can I copymy c:/drive to a flash drive in E:drive?

Basically, unless you have a huge flash drive (average C:\ partition win 7 is about 60-80 gigs) you can't and don't really want.

What are you really trying to do?

  • How to copy the recovery on the new HARD drive partition, HARD drive failed?

    Hallo,

I have a Compaq Mini netbook with Windows 7 Starter.

The HARD drive has failed and it is not repairable. However, it seems that the recovery partition is OK.

I want to buy a new HARD drive, install the driver on the netbook, and then use the tools/recovery partition to install windows 7 on a new PC.

So, the question is simple: how to copy the recovery for the new HARD drive partition?

    Hello s91066.

If your hard drive of your laptop doesn't have? If this is the case, what do you mean by the "recovery partition is ok? I doubt that this laptop has two hard disks, so if you are able to see this partition of your hard drive may still work.

You will need a set of recovery disks to restore the partitions on the new drive. If you can start Windows, which you can probably not with a dead hard drive, you can follow these steps if you can get into Windows.

If you are unable to boot into Windows, you need a set of disks. You can order it directly from HP. The number of the United States / Canada is 1-800-474-6836. If you are in another domain, you must visit HP's Support around the world to find contact information for your region.

I hope that is useful; have a great weekend!

  • How to copy a flash drive to another?

    Original title: copy the USB

How to copy a flash drive to another. It contains just ordinary excel data files only, no files or libraries

    Thank you

Which removes the 1 Player files? (move rather that copy?

Only one query: currently I more than 640 excel files on my USB key, I want to do it all in a single operation.

None of the files or libraries currently in use on this USB key

To avoid covering your desktop with files 640 +, make a folder for them, and copy them into it.

When you drag files from one drive to another in Windows, it makes a copy of them. If you drag files from a folder to one another on the same drive he moves.

If you actually want to move the files, you can use the right mouse button to drag and when let you go, it will give you a small menu of options such as move or copy.

So, no, it will not erase the files from the first hard drive.

Despite the title, this video explains how to MOVE pictures, not how to copy.

There is no way to make copies of the photos using Lightroom, you can move the photos using Lightroom.

Lightroom will result in no records per day, except when you import photos. If I could make a suggestion, leave your files in the same "mess" they are in now and use the keywords and other metadata to allow you to organize and search.

  • How to copy a site server on my hard drive

I am new to Dreamweaver CS4 and have been using MS Expression Web and FrontPage before.  I'm trying to figure out how to copy a site to a server in a folder on my hard drive in order to modify the site on my HD and then upload (Publish) the editing files on the server.  I started the Site menu and selected new site and the Basic tab. I called the site and left empty URL because this site is to be on my selected HD option button is not to use the server technology (ASP, etc.) and created the path to my local computer.

What should I choose on how to connect to the remote server.  With Expressions of MS I have FrontPage extensions.  This isn't a choice.  Should I choose FTP or WebDAV?  I guess FTP as I don't know my WebDAV connection information.  I stopped at this point I'm afraid I'm not corrupt sometining on my site on the server.

Why asked am me server information when I want to just copy the site on my hard drive?  Once the site is hosted on my HD, I would like to be able to download the changes to the file on my server.  In the MS Expressions I could upload (Publish) it only files that have changed.  Is and option in Dreamweaver?

DW has a help feature excellent that you can use by pressing F1.  The answer to this question and many other operational issues would be there.

You select a site by opening the files Panel, and then selecting the name of your site (which you gave during the definition of the site) in the drop-down list of sites.

I'm sorry, but you need to contact the manufacturer of Netbook on this subject.

There are too fishy advice on the Net start from USB to recommend a method

They will have the Options of reinstalling Vista available for their Netbook, because they produce a lot of them.

Take the Option to plant, where to do otherwise may affect your warranty.

  • How to copy an iPhoto Library AND photos

With the help of iPhoto Library Manager I made a copy of my iPhoto library to a new external drive, but I noticed that when I opened the library copied, the photos it contains are always referenced to the original photos, no copies on the new drive, as I had hoped.

If as expected, how a copy an iPhoto Library AND photos referenced to a new location, on an external drive, as is any independent on the new drive?

    Thank you

    Geoff

    Simple:

Go to your pictures folder and find the iPhoto library here. Drag it to the external hard drive. It will make an exact copy it

    Fact.

Warnings: the player must be directly connected (USB, lightning etc.) and Mac OS extended (journaled) format

Are you running a Managed or referenced library?

A managed, library is the default setting, and iPhoto copies the files in the iPhoto library during import. The files are then stored in the library package

A referenced library is where iPhoto does NOT copy the files in the iPhoto Library when importing because you have made a change to iPhoto-> preferences-> advanced. (You unchecked the option to copy files in the library to import) The files are then stored wherever you put them and not in the library package. In this scenario, you are responsible for the management of files.

If you have a library that is referenced, then it is much more complicated.
