  As others have mentioned, you cannot change the column values in a statement-level trigger. In addition, you cannot update that triggers the trigger on the table.   If your intention in the copy of the turbotac 'software' on a CD so that you can later reuse - forget it.  The software consists of LOTS of files installed in several different folders.  Basically, there is no way you could find all the components, copy them to a CD and then later restore all these elements in the files correct reuse software.
