Cannot write a DVD with my A60!

Dear all,

I wrote a DVD for 6 or 7 months with my A60 with no problems. File has now been installed and has stopped working. I installed Nero and it's the same thing. He still writes CD but not DVD. I uninstalled Nero and handed Record now but no change. The software recognizes the DVD in the drive, but gives me an error and stops after 30 seconds. In addition, there is has nothing demonstrating the existence of a DVD-ram installed when I click on D:. I can read only CD drive.

Can someone help me to solve my problem? I'm desperate! Thank you.

Hello

Try and reinstall the driver DVD - RAM, which can be found here.

http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/download_driver_details.jsp?service=EU&selCategory = 2 & selFamily = 2 & selSeries = 153 & selProduct = 536 & langua ge = 13 & selOS = 10 & selType = all & yearupload = & monthupload = & dayupload = & useDate = null & mode = allMachines & search = & action = search & macId = & country = all & selectedLanguage = 13 & type = all & page = 1 & ID = 35950 & DISO = 10 & driverLanguag e = 13

If it doesn't, chances are your DVD-Ram is defective and you need to take your laptop authorized service provider to obtain a replacement. Good day!

    Hi Chris

CD and DVD burning and playback with different readers are a never-ending story.
I use an external burner and believe me; I tested more than 10 different media from different manufacturers.
I could burn some media but not read and read but not burn :(
I think you should also test different DVD.

In my manual, I found a list with the CD and DVD compatible. Eventually, you will also find the same list of supported media in the pre-installed user manual you.

Why you n t use other programs like WinDVD or PowerDVD to play the DVD and watch DVD movies?
The WinDVD must be installed on most of the newer Toshiba laptops.

  • Cannot read the DVD with Windows Media Player

Running WIndows Server 2008 R2.  Desktop experience is responsible.  In my view, that it includes Windows Media Player V12.

Try to play the DVD.  The message "setting resolution".  Setting resolution does not help.

Installed K-Lite Codec Pack full.  Get the same message on the resolution setting.  Uninstall K - Lite Codec Pack now I get ' WMP cannot play the DVD because no compatible DVD decoder is not installed on your computer.

I'm a novice and dangerous, so no "step-by-steps" would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi MarkMann,

Your question of Windows is more complex than what is generally answered in the Microsoft Answers forums. It is better suited for Windows Server on TechNet. Please post your question in the TechNet Windows Server forum.

  • Cannot use recovery DVD with my Satellite Pro A300D

When I arrived at my laptop set up the way I like it, and I created a recovery disk which took the 2 DVD s.
Then Vista started to slow down a lot so I decided to use the disc and everything started to go well then he asked for two drive and it came with an error message saying that the file was missing to complete the Setup program couldn't t.

So now I can t get in the menu to restore it to the State when I had and the disks that I don t work.
    Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks in advance

    Hello buddy

It is badly located now. Please try to do it once more.
If the same thing happen there is nothing you can do. I'm not an expert for this kind of thing, but I noticed the image recovery recovery DVD will be copied to the HARD second partition disk) first and then the installation of recovery will go from there.

If the adaptation procedure is not done on the recovery of end procedure cannot be started.
Sorry buddy. In my opinion, you can try to contact the nearest authorized maintainer and explain the situation. Take the DVD created as evidence and maybe they will order new media for free.

    Good luck!

    Waiting for your valuable response.

It s pretty cool that you post the log file but I doubt that it could be useful.
To my eyes the CD/DVD drive is faulty or the CD that you used are not entirely compatible.

I had some burning questions with my CD/DVD drive, but I could solve this problem by using a different CD and DVD from another manufacturer.
I have read that many people recommend using TDK CD - R or DVD - R media.
I checked these discs and my drive supports it fully.

Maybe you should try it too.

    Welcome them

  • Cannot write to DVD RW

I installed a new DVD RW drive to replace a defective CD ROM drive.

Device Manager displays the new PHILIPS DVD +-RW DVD8801 drive.

My problem is when I try to write photo to disk files. A box appears that says "copy problem" and I can't complete the operation.

I did the test of F12 validated for another similar problem and I was able to copy one disk, but the question for the next disc.

Can anyone help? New drivers and uninstalling the drive did not help.

  • I cannot produce a "DVD with titles", 4 slide shows.

I selected slideshows and begun the process in DVD to post-secondary studies. I found that the PSE will only accept slide shows in 1 group and will not let me add slideshows later (not support and/or codec missing). Some slides get turned to 90 deg when put in PSE and a photo is not accepted, even if it is in jpg format, which are all other photos. Unclear why this should be.

Initially tried to combine slideshows with vidoe project (of which the aide said guide is possibel), but to find any which way I started (slide show or video) format added is considered bundles. Can't see why there is a problem.

Do you mean the Premiere Elements? You can not any kind of DVD video in PSE, only the horrible VCD format. PRE has its own forum, which is here:

    http://forums.Adobe.com/community/premiere_elements

and you will get the best answers to questions PRE it. Good luck!

  • PowerEdge 2950 cannot write to DVD disc

If I try to burn a DVD Dell diagnostics, I get the drive is not ready.

Can read the DVD. Can eject the DVD.

If I use Windows to watch a blank DVD, all categories are 0 bytes

Have updated to the latest Dell diagnostics and all tests pass.

I tried to update the BIOS of 2.6.1 to 2.7.0 and get the program could not gather the version of the BIOS

Windows look for an updated driver and Windows says best driver is installed.

It is probably not a R/RW disc. They were very rare in the 2950, particularly when they first came out.

  • Cannot write DVD/RW and CD/RW on my new Slimline DVD-RAM

    Hi, I have added one slimline DVD - RAM Toshiba PA3231E-1DV1 http://be.computers.toshiba-europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/jsp/individualOptions.do?LNG=9&service=BE&ACTION=SHOW _ ATTRIBUTES & OPTION_ID = 44333 & tab = 1 #1
in my Portoge M100. I can read and write DVD - RAM, CD - R no problem
read only DVD, DVD - RW and CD - RW (if something already in this disc, otherwise no drive detected), but cannot write. Support tells me that this drive can read and write all discs, but cannot help me...

    Help?

    Hello

According to the description of the drive can write DVD-R, DVD - RW and DVD-RAM. In my opinion, the first step, you can try is to test the player with various media (various manufacturers).

  • Have two old CD/DVD with the old movies of family 8mm on them.  When I try toopen them I get a statement that ' cannot they in format Samsung "suggestions?

Have two old CD/DVD with the old movies of family 8mm on them.  When I try toopen them I get a statement that ' cannot they in format Samsung "suggestions?

that is a difficult question. Try VLC to see if it will open to them. Usually when the disc appears on the desktop, if you click on it and let go, then press the clover sheet and I (get info command), you should be able to choose which application/program can open them. I have not already heard talk of the "samsung" format, I know there is a stranger there (lie format MTS from Sony). Regarding the conversion of them, maybe MPEG streamclip or hand brake? worst case scenario, you may need to spend some money to buy a video conversion app/program

Sorry I can't help you more

  • Re: Satellite A200 - DVD player can read but cannot write

    Hello

Some time ago my DVD writter has stopped working. I have Windows 7 with the latest toshiba drivers.

The DVD is very good playback of the inserted cd/dvd, the unit is OK in Device Manager, but when you write a DVD it fails somewhere over 50% with "unknown error."

I tried Nero and standard windows app.

    What do you recommend?

    Hello

Did you test different DVD from different manufacturers?
I had a similar problem in the past and since I use TDK R DVDs and CDs and these discs work correctly.

I also recommend cleaning the DVD player with alkohole laser lens and the tip of the batting.

  • Satellite L750-11W - cannot write data to the DVD-ROM drive

I have the laptop for about 2 years
I have never used dvd - ram to write only for playback
Early on, I noticed there was some lag before you begin to hear the sound of the DVD-ram, but it don't think it was a question

Today, I tried to write files to a dvd. I inserted the blank dvd and waited and waited nothing happened.
I tried to access the dvd - ram but nothing. I checked the game automatic and chosen options always ask. Re-inserted the blank dvd and waited a few minutes, then the Autoplay menu appears. I selected the option to burn with windows software, selected files, pressed burn, whereas it was over. Reinsert the dvd and guess what... it was empty. None of the files have been written on the DVD.

I watched the dvd (in the back) clearly nothing has been written.
I installed nero, and first of all, I checked the write speed.
Well in the specifications, he says that this dvd - ram must write with 8 x.
Nero told me that she could write with only 4 x. Then I tried to write the files with Nero.

Waited for 10 minutes (time estimated by nero) and the dvd was ejected and nero says writing has failed at 4 x.
I looked on the dvd. There were some marks, but the dvd should have been full.

In any case the dvd was wrecked... visited the site Web of Toshiba and creator of disc uploaded... Installed... reboot the laptop... start disk creator of... Well what a shock I kept getting the same error:

    An unexpected error has occurred.
    Error code: 320097-49-00000001
    Press ok

100 times the error persists until the program starts and he tells me that there are no recordable disks attached. Now, I'm really disappointed.
    What can I do?

    OS: Win 7 ultimate x 64
the dvd - ram works correctly (via Device Manager)

Why you n t try an other DVD like DVD R discs
I had the same experience as you. Some discs are good, some are not so good.
There are different manufacturers providing different types of discs with different quality standards.

I tested a lot of drive but from the best experience with DVD R TDK or Verbatim
