How to copy the recovery on DVD partition in windows 8?

Hi, recently I put asus s series laptop with windows 8 installed inside, I don't have a recovery with the laptop instead of this CD, they provided a recovery hard disk partition... and my question is If there is a way to copy this partition recovery for DVD and use it to restore the system at the time of the break... Please help me

I use ATI regularly for imaging, but I have not tried what you're asking. My guess is that you can use the DVD at any time to restore the drive to the first day (factory condition). But unless you had a failure, either with the operating system or the hard drive, why would restore you the first day? I don't think that someone wakes up in the morning and say: ' Hey, I think I'll put my PC in the way it was the day I bought it, just for fun. ":-)

I'm only theorizing here, but I would say that in the event of failure, put you in the ATI boot CD, use it to restore the recovery Partition from the DVD to the hard drive (which means probably wipe the disc in the process), reboot to the hard disk, then press what touches 'F' it to begin the action for recovery. Then it would be like a new laptop again.

Or maybe, with the recovery being bootable DVDs, you would just restore the hard drive directly to him. I don't really know for you; the recovery DVDs only I knew were like that (pick up directly from the DVD), but they were created with a program on the PC/laptop purchase. If you have a spare autour hard drive, you can always test the process to see if it works if you will not have to wait until there is a catastrophic failure, and then find out it doesn't work.

  • How to copy the recovery on the new HARD drive partition, HARD drive failed?

    Hallo,

I have a Compaq Mini netbook with Windows 7 Starter.

The HARD drive has failed and it is not repairable. However, it seems that the recovery partition is OK.

I want to buy a new HARD drive, install the driver on the netbook, and then use the tools/recovery partition to install windows 7 on a new PC.

So, the question is simple: how to copy the recovery for the new HARD drive partition?

    Hello s91066.

If your hard drive of your laptop doesn't have? If this is the case, what do you mean by the "recovery partition is ok? I doubt that this laptop has two hard disks, so if you are able to see this partition of your hard drive may still work.

You will need a set of recovery disks to restore the partitions on the new drive. If you can start Windows, which you can probably not with a dead hard drive, you can follow these steps if you can get into Windows.

If you are unable to boot into Windows, you need a set of disks. You can order it directly from HP. The number of the United States / Canada is 1-800-474-6836. If you are in another domain, you must visit HP's Support around the world to find contact information for your region.

I hope that is useful; have a great weekend!

    F8 does not work.
F2 goes to Phoenix TrustedCore Setup utility. The Toshiba hard drive and a CD-ROM drive are listed in hand and start in the right order.

Using F12 I can get it to boot from a Win7 64 bit repair disc that I burned using my laptop.

However, it does not recognize the operating system or any image or restore points (because it is 64-bit) but he will be responsible for command prompt.

I really put t know that should do better than to place the Microsoft sticker at the bottom.
This product key and sticker on it's just proof that you purchased the machine with an operating system preinstalled and legal active OS version. This key belongs to original OS (recovery image) that you got with your laptop and it is not a kind of universal key that you can use for the activation of the operating system if you have made the decision to install the clean version of the OS.

In General, this key is totally useless. While your computer you've got legal copy and this version, that you can install so often desired. It must not be enabled.

If you want to recover using the Toshiba recovery image response is not. Cannot start HARD drive recovery facility.

In my opinion you need make the clean OS installation using the clean installation or order original Toshiba Recovery disk on https://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/landing.aspx disc and install original (already active) recovery image.

    Hello

Now you have the problem. You can start the recovery folder HDDRecovery facility just if your laptop has the factory settings.
When you use Microsoft facilities disk for the installation of the operating system, this option will be gone.

You have created recovery DVD such as recommended by Toshiba?

  • Help... How to use the recovery on Pavilion g4 2014tx partition

Hi all... Would like to ask how to use the recovery partition and what is the effect if I used it... ?

    Thank you...

    Hello:

You normally start the PC, and at the beginning of the HP welcome screen, you press the F11 key to start the Recovery Manager program.

Then follow the instructions to restore your PC to its state of software "out of the box.

In so doing you re-partition and reformat the hard drive.

All THE data you have on the PC will be lost.

So make sure that you copy the files that you want to keep on a portable hard drive before proceeding.

It is also for if you have created a storage partition. You must copy all the files from that too.

All partitions are erased and redone.

  • Can I copy the recovery files to another partition D?

    Hello

My drive came with C and D partitions, but I want to organize my partitions of different drive from the factory.
I want to slightly reduce the system (C) partition, create a partition to 15 GB, copy the files from recovery to there (to keep the recovery files isolated) and rename this partition as the new D drive.
The only thing that matters for the tool recovery work is to place the files on a partition of D?
    Has anyone done a thing?
    Will it work?

    Hey,.

To be honest I have don t think that HDD recovery works if you copy the files to another partition.
Why you want to do this?

I use the factory form C: and D: partition by default. On C:, I installed all my programs and on drive D: I saved my files private photo, music, videos, Documents, etc.

I don't see any reason to create a separate partition for HARD drive recovery files because they are saved in an additional folder.

  • Re: Satellite Pro L450D - 12 X - how to access the recovery partition?

    Hello

I've formatted Windows 7 with a Windows XP CD but did not setup. I wanted to know how to access the recovery partition to set it by default, everything exists on the laptop right now is Ubuntu, but I don't know, I saw an additional partition that must contain recovery files as laptop did not come with a recovery disk and unfortunately did not create a filter.

How can I access the recovery partition on the laptop having in mind, I formatted the drive Windows 7 was installed on or should I activate or something like that?

    Any help much appreciated

    Hey,.

On the second partition of your laptop (data partition), you will find a folder named HDDrecovery and it contains recovery files. The problem is that you can use the HARD drive only with the pre-installed operating system recovery feature. It would mean in your case it s too late now and it s not in use anymore.

You have created the Toshiba recovery disc as mentioned in the user manual? If Yes, you can use this disk to restore to factory settings. Just boot from this CD and follow the instructions on the screen.

If you don t have the recovery disc, you can order it here:
    https://backupmedia.Toshiba.EU/landing.aspx

  • I how to remove the recovery partition and make the entire hard drive, a recovery partition?

I have two hard drives and the two have a recovery partition. Disk 0 is disk 1 80 GB and 500 GB. I want to remove the recovery on both partition and drive 1 recovery partition. Disc 1 is much older, but I would have preferred free space on disk 0.

The "recovery Partition" in question is not a thing of Microsoft.  Ask that ever created it (the manufacturer of your computer) which will probably help you not because it's beyond their desire to do so.

I suggest you create / have external media and numbers of series/product key in another place course of the computer itself.

  • Can I format my recovery disk if I copied the recovery on an external drive?

On my Hp computer, I noticed that my recovery was almost full.  So I copied it on an external drive.

My question is; Can I format my recovery if I copied the recovery on an external drive?

    Hello

    No, you can't.

And reading this on the recovery partitions:

It is supposed to have the files it contains, because it contains the files to reinstall the operating system.

Your recovery Partition was photographed on your hard drive during the production of your computer by the manufacturer for all of these reasons.

    1. If you want to reinstall Windows from in the case of a failure of the system, based on individuals or the keys at startup.

F10 or Alt + F10 or F11 are a couple of different manufacturers use sequences.

You will need to ask your manufacturer for proper sequence.

    2. to make the recovery disks on if your drive hard breaks down, so that you can then reinstall the operating system on a new hard drive.

Also ask them how to make records.

Your D: Recovery Drive is should not be used for backups, defragmented, etc..

There are backups on an external hard drive.

To resolve the problems that have arisen with the recovery D: Partition, you will need to contact the manufacturer of your computer to remove all that has been added to it.

    See you soon.

Father-in-law has fried its satellite and I need to re - install, but unfortunately the old diddy forgot where
He left the recovery CD / DVD.

It is in 2 minds as if there is even a recovery set in the box with the device, it is possible that there is a partition
in the unit which contains the files needed to recover the laptop?

The laptop is slow and the old man was doing the usual mush (navigation with no AV filter or spam) against my advice.

For any help or suggestion would be appreciated and if Toshiba watch, is it a regime in place for the drive to

    Hello

I think you have no chance because the Toshiba Recovery CD is mostly delivered with the laptop and you will find at the disk, only the drivers of Toshiba.
But these drivers, you can also download from the Toshiba page.

What you need, it's the recovery CD and this CD you can only order from the Toshiba service partner in your country. It s not very expensive.

However, the other possibility is to install the OS from the Microsoft Windows CD-ROM, and then install the drivers of Toshiba.
As I said above the drivers you can download from this site.

  • I'm not clear how to use the recovery CD

I added all the space using my HDD is it comes about 12 GB, I have 27.9 GB of disk space, but my drive has only 1.80 left disk space. I made clear to solve this problem. Basket is empty, I ran disk cleanup.

A computer expert suggested that Windows might have become confused and cannot recognize what place I save, it might be because I ran a program called Cyberscrub often. His solution is to reload Windows XP home. My laptop came with recovery discs, everything else is already loaded. I have so much I don't want to lose on my laptop. If I use the recovery discs, I will lose everything on my computer, am I better off buying Windows XP home and re-load, in which case I will not lose my job?

Also I am not clear how to use the recovery discs, I can't find instructions on what you are doing.
The only person who could help me went to travel and not reachable.
    Any help greatly appreciated

It of a very simple to recover the laptop.
Just boot from the recovery CD and follow the instructions on-screen ;)

I put t know what version recovery CD you have, but the older one provides the standard and expert mode. In expert mode, you can choose you partition where the OS is to be installed.
So in this case only the selected partition will be formatted!

But have you checked the size of the HARD disk in disk management?
Simply click on the my icon my computer and choose manage.

Of course, you could remove the internal HARD disk and it could connect to the external USB HDD controller. Then, connect the drive HARD to the second PC and you record data on another HARD drive.

  • How to make the recovery for vpcl231fx cd

I want to restart my pc to factory settings and don't know how to do the recovery partition recovery cd. If anyone can help. Thank you

There are two ways to recover your computer system: the recovery Partition and recovery disks.

Where you can create a set of recovery discs before the upgrade? If this isn't the case, then you can try to restore the original Windows 7 operating system and all the software that came from the original factory configuration by accessing the recovery Partition. The recovery Partition are accessible by turn on/off the device with the ASSIST button instead of the power button.

    - Press the ASSIST button when your computer is off to launch VAIO Care Rescue.
If the language selection window, select the desired language, and then click OK.
    - Click Start the Recovery Wizard. To make the custom recovery, select Tools, and then click Start the wizard advanced recovery.
    - Follow the on-screen instructions.

If you cannot start with recovery options, it means only that delete you the recovery partition when you upgraded your operating system. If this is the case, you will need to buy recovery disks to restore the original software.

You can buy recovery disks of Sony parts and accessories or parts distributor authorized Sony
