How to create a Windows XP Recovery disk?

Original title: floppy?

backup Windows XP wants me to do a recovery on a floppy disk. There is no floppy drive if I use a dvd and if so
How to direct the program to copy the necessary files on the disk.

Best solution is to use the 2 image backup software applications listed below and an external USB drive. You can create an Image of the 'system' of XP for starters and then new backups of the system whenever you need (usually before installing or uninstalling software or Windows updates).

    Hi, Brian:

    You can order for your model of HP recovery disks by clicking on the link below and then clicking on the link order recovery media.

  • Windows password recovery disk

    I just created my windows password recovery disk in a usb flash drive. A file was generated "userkey.psw". What happens if I save the file somewhere safe and remove the file in the flash player. Later, it will work if I have forgotten my windows password?

    Help, please...

    Yes, you can do what you want.  The important thing to remember is that you must place the userkey.psw back in the folder root of any external hard drive in order to to use.  You can move back in position using another computer if necessary.  Where keep you so far is entirely to you.

    Consider writing the password in a safe place instead.  A disc of rest password does not reach anything other than writing that can get the password down.

  • Windows 7 recovery disks are corrupt

    Let me start by saying, the advice of HP have no help and I take the blame at their feet.  Hard drive of my laptop HP G71 is eventually died.  When I bought the laptop, it came installed with Windows 7 Home premium 64-bit.  I followed the instructions during the installation and created a set of recovery disks.  I was only allowed to make ONE set.  I backed up my data religiously.  When the hard drive is dead, I bought a new used my recovery disks in the Recovery Manager about 30 times.  Each disc would go for about 20 minutes, and then I would ask for the next record.  In the end, remove screen said all the disks and reboot to the recovery to continue the restoration of the system.  After the restart, message "no boot device", then reinserted first recovery disc and it began all over again.  The people of HP forum said my a set of disks has been altered.  Now I ask people, how to get back my FULL windows 7?  I guess all computers with pre-installed software should come with the drives, but they are no longer.  Furthermore, I'll send this to my G71 using a repair/reinstall dvd that I bought on ebay.  Repair/reinstallation asked my microsoft product key that I got off the sticker on the bottom of my G71 and repair/reinstall it over.  It has worked very well, but it is a watered-down version of Home premium extremely rich, that I used to have, and more this morning for the first time, I received a message that says "the key to Windows 7 Home Premium is not valid for activation".  I want to just my old windows 7 back.

    Hi Kathy,

  • the upgrade of my hard drive on an hp laptop. How to create a windows cd? KeyCode on laptop wallpaper

    the upgrade of my hard drive on an hp laptop.  How to create a windows cd?  KeyCode on laptop wallpaper

    You n "t do it this way.

    You use cloning software to clone your existing to the new disk drive.  For portable computers, you will need to purchase an external hard drive enclosure which is (a) compatible with your drive (SATA or PATA) interface and (b) compatible with external connections on your laptop (for example, USB, FireWire, eSata).  Do not spend a lot of money for this speaker ($ 10-$ 20).

    If your new hard drive Western Digital, you can get the free cloning (a 'special' version of Acronis True Image) of WD software (http://support.wdc.com/product/downloaddetail.asp?swid=119) or you can get it separately (this is not an exhaustive list and is in no particular order):

    Acronis True Image Home 11
    EASEUS ToDo Backup
    Paragon Drive Copy or Partition Manager Personal
    Casper
    Norton Ghost

    The process is simple:

    1. Install the software on your laptop for cloning
    2. RTFM (do not skip this step)
    3. Install the new drive in the external case
    4. Connect new player to the computer
    5. Clone original disc on new drive
    6. Stop
    7. Unplug the external computer case
    8. Exchange records (original for external disk) and the new laptop drive
    9. Reboot and enjoy your new drive.

    When you know that the cloning operation was successful, format the old drive, which is now in the external case and use it for backup of data.

  • How to create a window with its own window border other than the local system window border?

    How to create a window with its own window border other than the local system window border?

    For example, a border: a black line with a width of 1, then a transparent line with a width of 5. Inside, it's the content pane.

    In JavaSE, there seems to be for the JFrame paintComponent() method to realize the effect.

    I can't see what you're trying to do now: it's a little trickier. You need stage.initStyle (StageStyle.TRANSPARENT), and I think you have to imitate the transparent part of the border by the presence of a second vessel inside the root container, properly positioned.

    Something like:

    import javafx.application.Application;
    import javafx.application.Platform;
    import javafx.event.ActionEvent;
    import javafx.event.EventHandler;
    import javafx.scene.Scene;
    import javafx.scene.control.Button;
    import javafx.scene.layout.AnchorPane;
    import javafx.scene.layout.StackPane;
    import javafx.scene.paint.Color;
    import javafx.stage.Stage;
    import javafx.stage.StageStyle;

    public class CustomBorderExample extends Application {

      @Override
      public void start(Stage primaryStage) {
      AnchorPane root = new AnchorPane();
      root.setStyle("-fx-border-color: black; -fx-border-width: 1px; ");

      StackPane mainContainer = new StackPane();
        AnchorPane.setTopAnchor(mainContainer, 5.0);
        AnchorPane.setLeftAnchor(mainContainer, 5.0);
        AnchorPane.setRightAnchor(mainContainer, 5.0);
        AnchorPane.setBottomAnchor(mainContainer, 5.0);
      mainContainer.setStyle("-fx-background-color: aliceblue;");
      root.getChildren().add(mainContainer);

      primaryStage.initStyle(StageStyle.TRANSPARENT);
      final Button closeButton = new Button("Close");
        mainContainer.getChildren().add(closeButton);
        closeButton.setOnAction(new EventHandler() {
          @Override
          public void handle(ActionEvent event) {

      primaryStage.setScene(new Scene(root,  300, 200, Color.TRANSPARENT));

  • How to create RAID 5 with 6 disks?

    I'm new to vmware. My machine is currently running ESXi 4.1 but the RAID set up gives me no more disk space I was advice to remake the structure of the disc physically to have all 6 disks in RAID 5 and then reinstall ESXi. I'm doing, but I need a direction how to create RAID 5 with 6 disks. Can someone please help with this?

    Thank you

    SD

    Assuming you are using the integrated Smart Array 6i controller it should without a problem. If you can get into the BIOS of conreollers, you can also boot from Smartstart CD and use the ACU (Array Configuration Utility). The ACU has the advantage that you can split the RAID in several logical drives. I usually create a small logical volume (~ 10GB) for the installation of the hypervisor (ESXi) and another large logical volume to the VMFS data store.

  • How get/create my window recovery partition

    My 900 Elitepad had a problem with the touch screen while loading. I gave Hp support diagnostic Centre. They went before formatting my Tablet while diagnosis to find out where is the problem. At the end it got to know that the Elitepad 900 charger is the main problem for the touch screen problem. They have ordered for the charger and I resolved. After receiving the Hp Elitepad 900. on getting home, I did a thorough tab unfortunately check, I discovered that my Windows 8pro restore partition was missing or has been deleted. And without the recovery of Windows partition, I won't be able to refresh, reset my TAB to factory default incase the present windows installed on it get damaged/affected by the Virus. This gave me more concern since then. How can I go on this gentleman? Am confused. I need the recovery partition window/how get/create the recovery of the rear window so that I'll be able to reset my elitepad 900 to default setting. I will seek early for your positive response. Thank you and God bless you

    Yes, the recovery media should restore the recovery to original also partition.

    I don't know what will be the cost for the media. Something like US $40.

  • How to backup Windows 8 recovery disks/card reader?

    Hello

    I discovered the forums here that Windows 8 does not come with the COA sticker and has no option to create the installation DVD, you can use this tutorial provided by HP, to create a recovery DVD or a USB Flash drive.

    My question is, since I can only use this method once, can I somehow save these DVD/USB Flash Drive, perhaps to burn to another DVD, copy them to another drive usb flash or maybe save to the cloud?

    In addition, the tutorial shows you 'use another method' create recovery DVD/USB Flash Drive, in which case you can't, so what are the other methods?

    Thank you!

    Hello

    You can use one of the following methods depending on the recovery media, you have created.

    1. the recovery of the disks.

    Download and install the free software ImgBurn.

    1 a. create a disk Image of each recovery disk on your PC - a guide for doing this is here.

    1 b. You can store these Image files on an external HARD disk or write to blank discs (or both) - a written guide of blank discs ISO files is here.

    2 recovery Flash Drive.

    If you want to clone a recovery USB Flash drive, there's quite a few tools around which will be repeated - is an example of a free application on the following link.

    http://www.OSForensics.com/tools/write-USB-images.html

    As to what the expression "Use another method" is referring to, I can only assume it means create a picture disc - for Windows 8, see the guide on the following link.

  • S52060f Pavilion Slim Line: how create a set of recovery disks is service pack 1 burn on the disc

    Hello

    No problems with one of my desktop windows 7 but have some questions and concerns.   Outside my thin line, I have 2 other computers hp windows 7.  They are p6510T CTO Desk Top clubhouse and Pavilion HPE H8m Desk Top.   I created my own set of recovery for each computer cd.   When I created the recovery discs, I don't remember if my computer came with service pack 1 preinstalled by buying them directly at Hp.     My first question is this.   Do plant purchased hp computers come with service pack 1 already preinstalled.

    Next question.   If they do and the recovery discs that I burned for each service pack 1 image, too, be burned on the disks.   Finally.   Is there a limit to the way in which many times can I use my recovery by computer disks.

    You place your order of recovery disks is not possible that they are discontinued.   I also undertand after reloading windows I can load the service pack 1 back when running a windows update.   But it is easier to have service pack 1 already imaged on any set of recovery disks.   If some can please please point this out.    Thank you.

    If you create recovery discs when you got the computers, you can use them as many times as you want as long as they continue to work.  SP1 would not be included.  I don't think that they were not in what you received initially.  They come through Windows Update, see the center of update and the Service Pack

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/service-packs-Download#sptabs=Win7

    The recovery disc for the p6510t are available at the surgeons of the computer if necessary:

    The model s52060f turns out to be incorrect, please confirm.  The number of HPE H8m is incomplete, shall be read as
