    Hi LaserShore,

    Think you that you added the 64-bit platform settings target according to this page? : http://zone.ni.com/reference/en-XX/help/372636F-01/mstudiowebhelp/html/64bitcore/

    Already running 32-bit application? Have you changed references to the 64-bit version?

    You use Measurement Studio? If so some features are not supported with 64 bit.

    Also when you say that you have added the NIDAQmx.lib, did you follow this KB:http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/38F67B28D995C6958625706E000C580C

    Contact Support for gateway at the link above.

    And read this about the Vista of the gateway recovery process:

    http://support.gateway.com/s/software/MICROSOF/Vista/7515418/7515418asi.shtml

    General information on this topic:

    Vista recovery media obtain and/or use the Partition Recovery Vista on your computer to the factory settings .

    There is no Vista free download legal available.

    Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.

    Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    In addition, ask them if you have a recovery Partition on your computer/laptop to restore it to factory settings.
    See if a manual provided with the computer or go to the manufacturer's website, email or you can call for information on how to make a recovery.
    Normally, you have to press F10 or F11 at startup to start the recovery process...
    Another way I've seen on some models is press F8 and go to a list of startup options, and launch a recovery of standards of plant with it, by selecting the repair option.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    Also ask them if it is possible to do the recovery disk/s for the recovery Partition in case of a system Crash or hard drive failure.

    They will tell you how to do this.

    Every computer manufacturer has their own way of making recovery disk/s.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Or borrow a good Microsoft Vista DVD (not Dell, HP, Acer, recovery disk/s etc).
    A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.
    The product key determines which version of Vista is installed.
    There are 2 disks of Vista: one for 32-bit operating system, and one for 64-bit operating system.
    If install a cleaning is required with a good DVD of Vista (not HP, Dell recovery disks):
    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu
    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
  • XP on T400 delivered Windows 7 Professional Downgrade rights - Possible to Dual Boot?
    I just got the laptop and started Windows XP, all configured and such. Then, I created recovery discs using the utility of Lenovo. If I boot from these discs, they give you the option to install Windows 7 in a separate partition and dual boot?
    If no option is given to dual boot, then drives will allow the installation of Windows 7, pure install on the XP partition?
    In addition, I apologize in advance if I missed a thread that responds directly to this issue. Please direct me to it.
    No, the recovery disks will restore Windows XP on the system. Lenovo does not support the DualBoot configs.
    > If no option is given to dual boot, then drives will allow the installation of Windows 7, pure install on the XP partition?
    A clean installation deducted a format of the hard drive.
    I wrote a clean install of Windows 7 doc which should be published in the next day or so.
    This problem may be due to a corrupt or damaged files in the system partition or boot record that are required for Windows 8.1 start successfully. You may need to run the automatic repair of Windows 8.1.
    However, I would recommend at this point, contact the manufacturer of the Tablet for the best support possible, since you use dualboot.
    How to direct the program to copy the necessary files on the disk.
    Best solution is to use the 2 image backup software applications listed below and an external USB drive. You can create an Image of the 'system' of XP for starters and then new backups of the system whenever you need (usually before installing or uninstalling software or Windows updates).
    (Note: Todo Install, then create a diskette "emergency" before you start creating your first image backup)
    Version 6.1 supports XP, Vista, Windows 7, 8 and 8.1
    Acronis True Image 2014 - has a 30 day trial version available, trial key sent by email.
    Note: Initialization of cloning and the road (creating a MBR) are not supported in the trial version.
    For the trial version, only pick up is available when booting from a Bootable Acronis media.
    Install Acronis and then create a bootable media restoration/rescue CD before you start creating your first backup image
    You cannot use them with the same profile, but you can copy the user profile to B.
    See here for more help: to copy a user profile
    You must be logged in as an administrator to do and you can't copy to or from the account to which you are connected.  If you want to copy the profile to the profile B, you need to be connected on that C and C must be a member of the Administrators group, you will have to create this account C if it is not already available (or use the built-in Administrator account).
  • How to get Windows 7 recovery once again without disks?
    Hi, I have a Pavilion dv6, a few months ago, I remove recovery particion so now I need to restore my windows system, I have no disc, how do I get my windows iso or the recovery image?
    Hello
    There are two options available.
    1. you can order a set of replacement recovery disks using the link below - it will reinstall the operating system, all the drivers, and almost all of the original software (the exception being often tests of MS Office).  They will also recreate all of the original scores, including the recovery Partition.
    Order HP recovery disks.
    2 another option that you might consider is to create your own Windows 7 installation disc.
    Before you try the following, make sure that you can always read the character product activation key 25 on your label Windows COA (5 blocks of 5 alphanumeric games).
    An example of a COA label can be seen here.
    Also, if possible, back up the folder swsetup which lie at the root of the C drive.
    You can create a Windows 7 installation disc you using another PC - just download the good Disk Image ( that must be the same version that originally came with your laptop ) from the link below and use an app like ImgBurn to burn the ISO correctly on a blank DVD - a guide on the use of ImgBurn to write an ISO on a disc is here.  These Images are clean and a very respected source (Digital River).
    Windows 7 sp1-iso-official-32-bit-and-64-bit
    Use the disk to perform the installation, enter the activation key of Windows on the label of the COA at the request and once the installation is complete, use ' 'phone Method' described in detail in the link below to activate the operating system -this made method supported by Microsoft and is popular with people who want to just have a new installation of Windows 7 without additional software load normally comes with OEM installations.
    http://www.kodyaz.com/articles/how-to-activate-Windows-7-by-phone.aspx
    In regards to the drivers etc, you must, if you were able to save the swsetup this will contain all the software and driver for laptop installers - if you were not able, drivers and software, you can need is found by entering either the complete model number or product of your laptop no here.
    Best regards
  • Windows XP does not start in a dual-boot system
    I have a Windows XP and Linux Mint 10 Julia on separate partitions in a dual boot system. Windows has been installed first, followed by Linux. Initially, the two worked, then, for some reason any I had to reinstall Linux. Now I can't get into Windows.
    I can't enter the recovery by using the Windows CD Mode if that helps.
    GIA
    booting from cd is not always the best way to start an operating system installed on disk 0, for example drive C.
    Yes, the default value for fixboot will always be the first drive to the motherboard, regardless of how many additional hard disks are installed.  It is the way windows is designed to be.  but in all fairness, you can start windows via a USB key with recent technology created by hp.com
    also, if the disk check found a few errors then it means that there are corrupt or missing files.
    so, at the command prompt go ahead and Run fixmbr, fixboot, bootcfg /rebuild and a chkdsk/r
    You can also type help at the command prompt to get the details of the above.
    An in Windows 7 Startup Repair can solve the problem - give it a try.
    Try to use BCDEdit: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/2676-bcdedit-how-use.html. You can modify the startup files to create a situation of dual boot (make sure that you use the existing boot files - be they on the Vista partition or partition Windows7).
  • LaserJet P1102w, why not install it via the USB port on a second system to dual boot Windows XP/Windows XP?
    A seriously paralyzed malware on my laptop Dell Inspiron 1318 running Windows XP Professional SP3 with 3 GB of memory. Some key files have been deleted, and I can't open all .lnk files. After some research, my solution was to start from a clean format. However, I have some programs on the old system that I really need and impossible to reinstall on a new system. So, I chose to install a new WinXP as a dual boot on a separate partition (I have also a third partition that I use for user files); keep the old system for when I really need.
    After installing the new WinXP, the detector material caused my LaserJet P1102W printer install pop up box. I was busy to install other drivers at the time so I canceled the installation of the printer later. When I came back to him, he went for the bulk of the fine saves but then abruptly stopped, saying: "the printer installation failed. On the HP site, I went through all the HP printer Diagnostics steps without good results.
    I really want to get this printer working on my new system. What can I do?
    If you want to dual-boot, you will need to buy a separate FULL Vista / / license-product disk key.
