How to create recovery discs?

I just went to the Geek Squad to fix a problem (fixed) and the guy suggested I have reinstall windows because my computer is slow. I just need to know how to create the recovery disks?

Contact the manufacturer of your computer to make recovery disks.

This isn't their recovery process, Microsoft.

Each manufacturer has their own way to do it.

E-mail/phone them, or look in a manual or on their Web site.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
How to get Vista recovery Media or the Vista recovery Partition on your computer back to factory settings.
There is no Vista free download legal available.
Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.
Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

In addition, ask them if you have a recovery Partition on your computer/laptop to restore it to factory settings.

See if a manual provided with the computer or go to the manufacturer's website, email or you can call for information on how to make a recovery.

Normally, you have to press F10 or F11 at startup to start the recovery process...

Another way I've seen on some models is press F8 and go to a list of startup options, and launch a recovery of standards of plant with it, by selecting the repair option.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ask them if you can also make recovery disk/s for the recovery Partition in case of a system Crash or hard drive failure.
They will tell you how to do this.
Every computer manufacturer has their own way of making recovery disk/s.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Or borrow a good Microsoft Vista DVD (not Dell, HP, etc).
A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.
The product key determines which version of Vista is installed.

There are 2 disks of Vista: one for 32-bit operating system, and one for 64-bit operating system.

If install a cleaning is required with a good DVD of Vista (not HP, Dell recovery disks):

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu

After installation > go to the website of the manufacturer of your computer/notebook > drivers and downloads Section > key in your model number > get latest Vista drivers for it > download/install them.

Save all data, because it will be lost during a clean installation.

And if you ever needed to do a start-up repair disc:

How to make a Bootable ERD to do a Startup Repair:

Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

Link above shows what the process looks like and a manual, it load the repair options.

NeoSmart containing the content of the Windows Vista DVD 'Recovery Centre', as we refer to him. It cannot be used to install or reinstall Windows Vista, and is just a Windows PE interface to recovering your PC. Technically, we could re-create this installation with downloadable media media freely from Microsoft (namely the Microsoft WAIK, several gigabyte download); but it is pretty darn decent of Microsoft to present Windows users who might not be able to create such a thing on their own.

Read all the info on the website on how to create and use it.

ISO Burner: http://www.snapfiles.com/get/active-isoburner.html

It's a very good Vista startup repair disk.

You can do a system restart tool, system, etc it restore.

It is NOT a disc of resettlement.

And the 32-bit is what normally comes on a computer, unless 64-bit.

  • Vista with XP Downgrade and none of the recovery disks - how to create recovery discs?

    Interesting - I also bought the Windows Vista Business (sticker that says so on the bottom of the T61) with the pre-load downgrade to Windows XP Professional.

    Recovery of product, I created discs, that the OP was advised, but did not notice any indication during the process of creating it was for Windows XP Professional which was preinstalled, the Windows Vista Professional (which is allowed and has a sticker on the bottom of the T61), or both. Anyone know?

    And if it's only for XP, so how can I get Windows Vista Business media to which the licence applies?

  • How can I continue creating recovery discs?

    Hello! I just bought a HP Pavilion dv6-3011so, and told me to create recovery discs as soon as I had installed the computer. I read in the manual that I stopped the creation and that the next time I opened the Recovery Manager he asked me to continue and to insert the following DVD and so on.

    As it was getting late, I decided to stop creating and continue the next day (today), and I opened up to Recovery Manager. He didn't ask me to keep anything. I Googled it and couldn't find any information, not even on the HP website. I don't know if I should choose "Creating recovery discs" once again, but I think it will only begin to calculate how much Swedish I will need? Or it will not start calculating where I was when I interrupted the creation yesterday (I had just finished disc 2 of 6)? I don't want to do anything until I know for sure I do the right thing, because I feel that this can never be done again.

    Please help me!

    Hello

    If you restart recovery disc creation, it should carry from where you left off.

  • Satellite A505-S6005: creating recovery discs power calibration error

    Hello

    just bought a satellite A505-S6005 and try to create recovery discs.
    I am using Dynex DVD - R.

    He created the 1st disk after the slightest mistake 2 times and when I started the 2nd drive continued to get again the message that is OE01BS-26 error Code - 2 said A 037303 power calibration area error occurred, check the disk for dirt or scratches.

    The disks are not scratched, and after going through 5-6 discs wonder if something is wrong with the optical drive & not the disks.

    Any help appreciated.
    Thank you.

    Hello

    I think it's a problem with your DVD media
    You are using incompatible disks!

    Try different DVD from different manufacturers.
    I m using the Verbatim or TDK DVD-R and my CD/DVD drive handles these discs without problem.

  • Possibility of creating recovery discs isn't available.

    I want to create recovery disks for my HP Pavillion 2260 - EA, Windows 7 64 bit, but the option is no longer available in my HP support Assistant. I selected the option once, but had to cancel because he wants more DVD discs I've owned. I then bought several discs. Now the option is no longer available for me to choose.

    In my view, we can only create recovery discs once. The PC noted, therefore, that I used this option, when in fact I've never really done. Can I do now?

    -Mike

    Hi, it is possible Action Center of this HPSA saw this task as completed and this is why it is not.  I recommend that you try to access the Recovery Manager through the start menu. If you select all programs from the start, you should see a list for safety and Protection, click on that and then click on Recovery Manager and finally, you should see a list for the creation of recovery media. Clicking on that brings you to the creation screen.

    If for some reason that there is no option, the only solution I know of "reset" of the option of creating media is to perform a recovery of HP sent a recovery media. Performing a restore partition recovery will not work.

    Hope this information helps. If you need help, please ask.

  • Portege M500 - how to create recovery DVDs?

    Hi there :)

    I bought Toshiba Portege M500. Anyone know how to create a CD/DVD of recovery on this model?

    I installed the "recovery CD creator" but - I just can't create it. The only thing that came on the screen is: Qosmio Player recovery CD.

    On the help page - there are instructions to create the disk - but the options were not available to me. (i.e. the system recovery disc option)

    Help, please! I would really appreciate it!

    Sophie

    Hello

    Portege M500 was equipped with HARD drive recovery option?
    Did you find the information you need to create a recovery disk in the user's manual?

    Where did you find the "Toshiba recovery CD creator"?
    This tool has been pre-installed?

    I guess that there is no image on the HARD drive files that are needed to create the recovery disk Toshiba and so you can't create it.

  • Re: Satellite A300 - error creating recovery disc

    I'm not really providing any solution, but is facing a similar problem with my laptop Satellite A300-1EI, bought in Dubai, UNITED Arab Emirates. I tried to make records of recovery through Toshiba Recovery Disc Creator. However, each time, I got an error message. I tried with Verbatim, Philips DVD-R and lost several DVDs. Meanwhile on the net surfing, I discovered that the engraver of DVD from Toshiba is a little sensitive and try to use Verbatim DVD - R brand. I tried with Verbatim 2 days and at the last moment when I was about to dance with joy that the first DVD is created, received an error like below

    * "The following issue occurred during the recording of the data of the disc.*
    Current process will be stopped.*

    * A power calibration area error occurred.*
    * Please check if the disc is scratched or dirty.*
    * If Yes, please try again with a new disc.*

    "* (Error code: 0E01B5-26-00037304)."

    I don't really understand the message. Can advise you on how to create the recovery disks.

    Kind regards
    Vijay

    Hello

    To me, it seems that the used DVD discs are not completely supported by ODD.
    It seems to be a compatibility issue.

    I had this problem in the past, but I could resolve it using another DVD from another manufacturer.
    I had a good experience with TDK DVD-R.
    Using the R disk I was able to burn the disc, but using the + R I received an error message.

  • How to create recovery CDs Qosmioplayer on Qosmio G35

    I just bought a G35 "re-certified factory". I know that it is an American model, but American support site doesn't have a forum this good.
    Apparently, the Qosmio G35-AV600 model, it is not possible to create a recovery Qosmio player once CD DVD recovery Qosmio has been used to restore the software 'image' on the computer's hard disk drive. If I try to create a the Qosmio player recovery CD, the computer ejects the blank CD, and the following error message will appear:

    «File has been deleted or co...» "

    This is because the utility program that creates the Qosmio player recovery CD is not reinstalled by the Qosmio Recovery DVD, even if all other software is reinstalled successfully.
    The laptop came with a recovery qosmioplayer CD. I downloaded the "Qosmio Player Utility for Windows XP" on the following Web site:

    http://askiris.Toshiba.com/

    All he seemed to do was run installshield (XP) and unzip some files on the 'c' drive, but who has still no effect. Apart from asking Toshiba to send me the recovery disc, is there something I can do?

    Hello Slim

    Toshiba laptops we are not known to me and I put also t know how they are delivered, but I can give you some info on European Qosmio models.

    Each laptop Qosmio (G30 as well) comes with recovery media (recovery media Qosmioplayer and Recovery DVD for the installation of the OS). Because of this, it is not possible to create any recovery media. Qosmioplayer is not part of the operating system and not installed on the Windows partition.

    Qosmioplayer is Linux based on reader and pre-installed on some unpartitioned HARD disk. AFAIK utility Qosmioplayer is created to import films registered in the Windows operating system to allow watching, editing and also save them on CD or DVD.

    The fact is that you cannot create Qosmioplayer recovery on your own media. I'm sure that the American units are designed and pre-installed on a same or similar principle.

    Good bye
