  I use oracle 10g (10.2.0.1) in RHEL5 server. I am trying to restore a RMAN backup from one server to another server again with the new name of the comic. Today I restored the backup controfile RMAN has tried to put the database in State of Mount. But it failed due to the error below

  Be sure to distinguish between the terms and the database schema. Other products, make them bad. It would be a HR diagram (or a user, which is the same in Oracle). If you do not need to use the database Wizard, unless you are working with a new host with no database.

  A simple way would be to get the DDL to create the HR schema and modify it for your own. It can be extracted from your database in several ways, or you can copy the hr_cre.sql to your own script and change. The two ways are educational, and you can google for instructions.

  As you have created a new database 'gtxprod2' so the Stanley database should be in place
  cmd--> lsnrctl status
  That you have even made changes to 10ggtxinf/network/admin/tnsnames.ora
  do the same entry in the oraclebi/network/admin/tnsname.ora file

  Although the command would create a new table with the same column names and data types, it is NOT a partitioned table. You must explicitly specify the PARTITION BY clause and definitions of Partition when creating the table.

  Similarly, index definitions are not automatically copied. You must explicitly run the CREATE INDEX statements (which you can generate source using DBMS_METADATA. GET_DDL or by using any other tools/utilities).

  (However, if you use Export-Import - for example import to another schema, or to another database, it would create a table partitoned bearing the same name and with the same index definitions).
