XE of TMS in the DMZ, taken in charge by Cisco?

Hello

We have implemented a hybrid solution CMR in our Organization. After application on the premises, we have:

1 TMS and XE of TMS on the same server

2 driver

3 vTS

4 Highway C & E

And

5 WebEx hybrid CMR allow

6 cloud office 365

Problem: All users connect to the outlook client to plan the hybrid meeting CMR. When users are in the office, then it works fine. However, when the user is working remotely and not connected to the VPN. They can access outlook client to check e-mail, but cannot schedule CMR hybrid session. They need to connect to the VPN just to schedule the meeting.

Request: if we intend to put MSD XE in DMZ, this is s solution supported?

Hi Steve,.

This is not an unbearable deployment - the TAC perspective that it is only important that the FQDN of the server TMSXE with the booking service can be found via DNS and port TCP 443 is accessible from the outside.

If you have additional questions, feel free to ask here or even create a TAC case and let me know the number.

  • 12 c virtualization Tuxedo taken in charge of features compared to 11 g

    Hello

We plan on going live with the upgrade of Tuxedo 12 c on top an old version of tuxedo, but I would like to know, before that did take place, if there is no limitation in the virtualization taken in charge by the latter. In comparison to Tuxedo 11 g, are there differences? These differences relate only to the platform / OS used?

Check the link below, I noticed that some items (like HP - UX) supports only the FMW Oracle 10 g

    http://www.Oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/IAS/OracleAS-supported-virtualization-089265.html#oraclefusionmiddleware11g

So, basically what I want to know is what are the differences between the two versions (12 and 11g) and if there is a patch planned to make these virtualizations supported on the future.

    Thanks in advance,

    brunno Attorre

    Hi Bruno.

Smoking is not a virtualization feature. It is a separate product.

Tuxedo binaries are built and released for specific platforms. If the virtualization product supports a Tuxedo 12 c platform is released for

then the binary Tuxedo 12 c will be executed on it. Patches created for Tuxedo don't take virtualization into consideration.

Tuxedo 12 c has added a lot of new features that Tuxedo 11 g does not support.

All applications that you built by using an earlier version of Tuxedo must be rebuilt with the new binaries / libraries released before they will work.

(i.e. all applications that you built using Tuxedo 11 g will have to be rebuilt with Tuxedo 12 binary c / libraries before they will work with Tuxedo 12 c)

Here's the matrix certification Tuxedo (free vs platforms):

Oracle & reg; Certified Tuxedo < br / > platform Tables

anyone had problems with the Mac taken hostage by ransomeware?

    Hey portogermano,

I have not had problems yet, but I've heard that sort of ransomware is distributed through a program called Transmission.

If you can, try to avoid this software!

If you are installing applications from one other source other than the Mac App Store, make sure you can check the original source and always go to the site of real editors, so that you know that you are getting the real thing, not a bad software.

  • How can I sort the Photos taken by different cameras?

Background: A friend recently gave me a flash of his photos to a common travel drive. After the 3 week trip, we have combined more 3 500 photos.

After you import Photos, my photos and hers are all mixed in the same days in Photos. I had planned to keep a part of his own, but especially will remove them. It is the first time we did it since the migration into Photos and I can't understand how to divide these into the kind of events that iPhoto does. When we did earlier, iPhoto would be auto-sort in two separate events because they were of different cameras. It was a very simple process to pass by his 'events' delete images I didn't want, then merge the event with my photo events. It will be a very tedious nightmare of having to sort the 3 500 photos manually to change hers if I can't split automatically.

    My question:

How to change the display of Photos so I can see the photos taken on the same day with different cameras separately? Similar to the separate events, we have seen in iPhoto. Please say there is a way to do it!

    Thank you

You can also restrict this smart album to include only photos taken between specific dates.

Hi, I dropped my Iphone 6 in the Lake while on 4g. Were not on wifi for a few days I've been away. I lose all the pictures taken because I was on wifi or can I get back them some how?

If the phone doesn't work, settings/iCloud and turn on synchronization of Photos. Using a computer, you can go to iCloud.com and download them.

  • Configuration of the DMZ for MS access

I set up a DMZ for a Web server. I'll probably put an RODC in there later, but for now I want to open ports to the domain controller.

I'm a bit new to DMZ and I'm a bit confused.

I put in place services for different ports and then configure the rules of lan/dmz coming out of the demilitarized zone to the domain controller, but I get no connection.

    I have the DMZ a 10.0.0.1 / 255.255.240.0
    The value 10.0.0.5 Web server / 255.255.255.240.0
    Gateway is 10.0.0.1

DNS server on the primary domain controller 192.168.10.1

I opened the ports following services:

    Kerberos 88 (TCP, UDP)
    Time 123 (UDP)
    135 Kerberos authentication (TCP)
    LDAP 389
    LDAP 445
    MS DS 3268 (TCP)
    1025-4999 RPC Ports (TCP)

In the rules of the DMZ Lan, for those leaving, should I simply specify the machine side of DMZ DMZ users or do I need to specify the side Lan Lan users too?

Then I need to duplicate these ports in the Incoming, correct?

Any help in pointing to the relevant documentation would be great.

No, you should not need to configure static routes, unless you have something weird going. You can check the network path by adding rules incoming/outgoing ICMP LAN DMZ (ICMP-TYPE-8, to be precise) and ping back and forth between the DC and the Web server (ensuring any intermediate software firewall is disabled). If you can test in both directions, then you know with certainty that none of the static routes are needed.

  • How can I sync the videos taken with an iPhone to an iPod nano

I want to sync the videos taken with my iPhone to my children your iPod nano. The videos are stored on my iMac in the Photos app in a specific album.

I tried using iTunes and synchronization of the picture with this particularly chosen album, but nothing has been synchronized. There is no error messages or warnings, just nothing is synchronized.

I know I could manually importing the video into iTunes and sync as films, but there should be an easier way to do this, right?

I think the method you mentioned is how you need to do.  In iTunes to sync iPod movies, you configure settings from iPod movies screen (to select the movies you want to synchronize).  Settings of the iPod screen photos is for photos (image files).  Movies do not appear on the screen of the parameters of the iPod movies , unless they are in your library of movies to iTunes.

  • How to GET all THE PHOTOS TAKEN at 300PPI

How define the rebels T4i (650 d) so all the pictures taken are 300 ppi?

I guess you got a request for a person to provide images to "300 ppi.  I get these from time to time.

Images is not "PPI" (or sometimes referred to as "IPR").  Digital images have simply 'resolution', described as the number of pixels in width by the number of pixels high.

PPP and DPI means "pixels per inch" (or "dots per inch", as it is sometimes called) and refers to a resolution to a specific display size.  But since you can take your camera image and post it to ANY SIZE you want, the custom of the image really have 'PPI' until you choose a physical output size to use for the display of the image.  The camera cannot know in advance the great that will be.  You can take two images in a row, decide to print one as a 4 x 6 "and print another as a 16 x 20" - the camera does know what you plan to do with the image - and more important still, it shouldn't have to. "

Suppose an image is (I'll do simple numbers) 300 pixels wide by 200 pixels high.   If you were to print this image in a tiny size.... say 1.5 "wide by 1", then you could print at 200 dpi because it is the number of pixels you can align in just an inch.  If you decide to print the same image 3 "wide by 2" high then even the image would be now 100 ppi - and still you has not changed the data from the camera at all... everything you changed was the size of the media output.

The real resolution of your camera sensor is 5184 x 3456.  So when someone says that they need a 300 PPI image, what you have to say is ' what physical size? (in inches - since its pixels per INCH and not pixels per centimeter, etc.).

The PPI is managed by the software from your computer when you export a copy of your image for a PRECISE THAT USE of the image.  You don't want to modify your original image data - you want to create a copy of the image to give to this person who wants to display their specific image dimensions and the ppi.

One other thing... There is also a notion of the ratio of the image.  Your camera natively produced a 3:2 image - which means that the sensor is 50% wider than it is tall.  A 4 x 6 "print maintains this same image ratio.  But note that if you look at other sizes of a 5 x 7 or 8 x 10, the ratio is no longer maintained.  This means that you have to manually crop the image to the ratio that you plan to use when you print (or indication) the image.

The essential is that only a display of output has a notion of "PPP"... you can 'print' to a given PPP or you can display on a monitor at a given PPP, but the camera image has no such concept because it is not yet displayed.

The process of cropping, re-sampling and export an image so that it will be a few specific when, PPI to the purpose is of size is all managed by software on your computer - and not by your camera.

BTW, you can define metadata in an image with a PPI value.  It is not the actual data - just meta-data.  He "suggests" to a printer (which could completely ignore these data if she wants to) the PPI that you want to use when printing.  In other words if my image happens to have the resolution of 1800 x 1200 a meta-data of the 300 dpi value, then a printer that does not circumvent the data will end up with a 6 "x 4" image.

  • What is the resolution of the photos taken on the PowerShot Elph 115 IS

New user.  Tech challenged.  What is the resolution of the photos taken on the PowerShot Elph 115 IS?

The camera doesn't shoot in PPP: it draws pixels & pictures will be X pixels wide by pixels X maximum. The printers use DPI & you should be 300 DPI or more for high-quality printing. Some software opens your photos & shows how great a feel you could do at 72 DPI, but who is just something built in the program & no has no real meaning, unless you plan to make a wall poster. It's unimportant info 99.9%of time.

  • Out-of-Band management on the servers in the DMZ

Hi, I have four PC7048s in my DMZ. External, internal making face and 2 separate demilitarized. Everything is good. All workers.

Since they are demilitarized I want only their route between them and thus in position off http, Https, Telnet, and SSH management so that they cannot be managed remotely from the DMZ subnets.

I then plugged the OOB interfaces in my internal management switch and VLAN them accordingly. Very well, now I can ping my OOB interfaces on all four. But I can't manage them because I have disabled SSH, HTTPS, HTTP and Telnet

If I allow them (just SSH and HTTPS) I am now able to manage the switches of the DMZ on the IPs DMZ subnet

I thought that the point of the OOB was so this does not happen and there is isolation? If I have to spend globally on HTTPS and SSH, then they are not really well isolated (I understand that OOB traffic cannot talk to IN-Band etc. - is the fact that I turn on a global configuration for remote OOB service)

    Am I missing something?

    Thank you

Your results are correct. To lock the management more far I suggest looking to implement ACLs. With the ACL you can permit/deny access to various management services.

  • Is access to the DMZ on VPN best practices?

    Hello

We have aDMZ which hosts comments wireless society and also installed on the same network of network security cameras. We must be able to access these security cameras remotely (from office) and one way to do that would be to include a network DMZ on your remote access VPN access. I don't know if this is a good/best practices since the same DMZ network also called Wireless on it.

I think that since the security/DVR cameras is something private, they should be moved inside the network instead of on the DMZ.

Could you please comment and suggest?

    Thank you.

Yes! Move the inside security cameras and create another guest lan, do not use the demilitarized zone for the guests!

DMZ must expose several services outside.

  • RV042 impossible to disable the DMZ Host

All trying to configure my RV042, I "turned on" the DMZ host feature (under Configuration > DMZ Host) by entering the address LAN IP of one of our machines. I think now that I don't want to actually on. According to the help page (and also the manual), he says:

"Enter the IP address of the network device you want to use as a host DMZ." Otherwise, enter a zero (0.0.0.0) to disable the DMZ host.

So I try to enter the address 0.0.0.0, and it gives me an error:

What I am doing wrong? The instructions are just incorrect? Is there a way to disable this option?

If the LAN subnet is 192.168.1.x/24, you might want to try instead of 0.0.0.0 192.168.1.0 to disable DMZ Host.
