How to disable email BlackBerry Smartphones?

I want to only look at the emails when I'm on the road. I don't want to delete all these messages that I have watch on my desk on a regular basis.

So I went to Set up, click the e-mail icon. Has obtained "Initialization of application" at the top and Center: "Connecting to e-mail settings" with spinning clock.

Then: "your device had a problem connecting to the server. I have tried re three times.

What to do next?

Just try again, there may be a problem with the server at the time.

When get you logged in, click on the email account and click on the checkbox to not transfer the messages on the device.

When you get ready to email, you will need to undo that.

My lamp went from a duration of 16 hours for a period of less than 4 hours, almost from one day to the next...  My guess is that one or more battery intensive applications do it for me.  How can I find what is running in the background and cancel it?  Thank you

    Welcome to the Forums, jpainter!

To see what apps are in progress, press and hold the BB menu (to the left of the trackpad) button for a second or two.  This will bring up the 'application Switcher,"which shows you all the applications currently running on your device.  There are several that "need" to run constantly, including phone, browser, key messages, the screen of welcome and BB Messenger folder.  Everything else can be selected and closure, meaning scroll to any other application running, select it and make sure that it has closed and stopped running.   Use the menu button BB in the app to select 'leave' or 'close '.   You will be able to tell if it is still ongoing following the first sentence of this paragraph.

I'm new to BB. Just got a Sprint Tour 9630. The reason that I address email accounts active and inactive when I'm home, I want to read emails only about this and not go to BB.  However, when I'm on vacation, I would coming emails for BB. I get anywhere from 15 to 65 emails a day and you want to avoid additional costs for their management in two places.

    Yes, me too.

There is not a good solution for this. You are on a personal account of BIS, and your BlackBerry does what it was intended to do, and what made famous RIM-'push e-mail '.

Your options are to delete the account and reset each time, or at all least in BIS email setup, check and uncheck the section "transfer the messages on the device.

I bought this new Blackberry Curve 9320, but I'm not sure how to set up my Gmail account in it.

When I click on email accounts in the Setup program, it forces me to activate a business account which I have apparently not. When I click on email Account Management options Messages, a box appears and says "cannot open the e-mail setup application. Contact your wireless service provider. »

You need the BlackBerry data service on your line.  You will need to associate your BlackBerry with your data service account.  And the service books must be pushed and received by the device.  Sounds complicated but it isn't.   Talk to your service provider.  Make sure you have a regular signal good mobile network if you receive service books.   Then use the configuration of e-mail again and you will see the option to add the Internet e-mail.

  • Delay email blackBerry smartphones

I'm working with a new 8330 and I have two email accounts set up with it, a school account that I used to read with the Entourage and the other a regular g-mail account. No problem with the latter - I get these emails fine. But with the e-mail of the school, I don't get emails on my BB until I have actually go around me and download these messages. As soon as I did that, they pay all at once. I can send emails from the BB with this account very well, but the reception is weird.

A possible complication is that I have badly configured the account the first time, so I deleted it to repeat and correctly configure a second time. I've implemented that address as "myn[email protected]" and while BlackBerry has this folder with my BIS account e-mail address, it still appears as an option for me to send mails to this address (technically identical toMy.N[email protected] ', which is how I set up the second time).

    Any thoughts?

Hi and welcome to the forums!

After deleted and recreated the email address, do you send service books?

Connect to your carriers BIS site and return.

If you do not know the site of carriers BIS send me their name, and I'll send the link.

    Attached are the procedures.

    Thanks in advance.

You can access your configurations of BIS (Blackberry Internet Service) via a browser/PC or via the interface for device... the result is the same. The only difference is that with the first method you have a keyboard full size and monitor to work with, rather than the device screen. It's your choice, what method to use, the result will be the same.

Except - to use the PC/browser method, you must associate a BIS account (with the login) on your device PIN - because, through this method, may not know what device you are using. After that, you can also use these credentials on your device - but there is a checkbox to ICT which allow your device interface to remember the credentials then out... so you no longer have to type these credentials on the device once.

To use the PC/browser method, find your carriers site connection BRI here:

  • Account icon Email blackBerry Smartphones won't go away

I have three e-mail accounts set up on my 8330.  I use is no longer one of them, so I deleted using the e-mail account on the device configuration application, as well as to go online to my BlackBerry Sprint account and delete it.  The icon always appears on my phone and for some reason, is now the default account to send emails.  As the account has, indeed, been deleted, emails don't actually go through this account.  It's a huge pain to keep remembering to change the account that I have send emails since.  On a side note - I also changed my settings to use a different account as my default account - it does make a difference.  The setting is good when I check, but when I test them, the old (deleted) account is always the default.  What Miss me?  How can I get rid of this account once and for all?  I really don't want to wipe my machine and start over...  Thank you in advance for your help!
