  Hi all

  There may be someone out there with the same problem...? I used Movie Maker (the original!) for many years... nice program. easy to use.

  Have now updated my JVC HARD drive camcorder I can't use the old tapes of CC of Canon original, compatible with WMM.

  My problem is that I have a lot of old, useful material that I would use in ongoing projects. Be careful (Ha!  (HA!) ... I backed up the old tapes on DVD! Now, it is not possible to get the tapes.

  I still have some old tapes. Could someone advise as to how I could save old tapes that I may be able to use old clips in ongoing projects?

  You may not use the tapes of the old appliance in the new.

  If you have the original tapes, you can try to re-import them.

  If this isn't the case, you can use the DVD files already made to usable files using a converter.

  You can use you are the favorite search engine to get a converter.

  I'm trying to import approximately 40 000 which are mainly the images on an external drive, that there is a certain video clips as well.  I have a very small SSD (120G) system, I need to keep everything on the external hard drive.  During the import, I put it on 'Add' and leave all the files in place.  However, half way through the import I received a warning that my system disk is full.  I * think * I narrowed down it to the video caching, but if anyone knows what else LR could be stored on my system disk outside of the application itself, I'd be happy to education.

  This brings me to my question: How can I disable all video caching on my system drive? Or, how can I change the location of the external disk caching?  I scoured through and checked the forums online and came up with nothing...  I hope that the experts here can enlighten me!

  Yes, it's the video caching:

  There is not currently a way to disable in LR, and nor is it interested in your preferred cache size setting.

  Although in your case that might be a problem as external drive to store the images, so it will cache each time that you run an import.

  Yes and no.  You can only claim a chronology which have labels of what label she is involved with.  If you want your child movieclip to know what image of the parent movie clip tag it is currently in, then you can use... MovieClip (parent) .currentLabel;

• How iMovie organizing imported video clips

  I just imported quite a few video clips (c. 400) to a folder in my office in iMovie.  Most of the clips are pretty short - maybe less than a minute.

  I went in the screen of media project and began to watch the clips.  I noticed that it doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to the way they are arranged.

  Can someone tell me if iMovie organize or sort the clips imported somehow?  Thank you.

  You can sort the imported clips you want in iMovie 10.1.2. Use the "View menu > sort clips by. command.

  • I imported a few video clips for Windows Video Maker and when I played against them on the timeline, they played very well, but when I started working on a project and added the clip on the timeline the clip played to halfway through and then the clip is cut off from himself and played the tree in this way the rest of the clip or just froze altogether but the timer continued. At first, I thought, there might be something wrong with the clip so I imported another copy of the clip, but he kept repeating the same problem with all versions of the clip that I imported.   Just out of curiosity, you are running in "native" mode or in a link Direct from PrPro? Means "Native" creation of a project within the SpeedGrade itself, what makes the chronology of the media browser of the Sg & all... using a form of the project file, IRCP SpeedGrade. Direct link is coming a PrPro project created, always using this project file PrPro within the Sg.

  Next (and most likely the culprit)... no other DNxHD footage shows on your PC? Have you downloaded the complete codec of this computer stuff? If the system does not have the installed DNxHD codec, it's what I expected...

  the only thing that will prevent the images and/or videos loading with your swf file is to move these assets outside flash.  That is to say, for the images, they would need to be loaded and for movieclips, they would need to be registered as a responsible and sovereign wealth funds.

• How to put a video Clip on the scale and avoid the deterioration of the Image?

  Hi, I'm trying to determine the best way to put across a number of videos in my sequence, so that I can ' digitally zoom "on the action and again, we hope to avoid degradation of the focus/sharpness of the image.

  My concern is that using the Scale-up effect, is to distort the images, that is stretching the pixels.

  (one of the clips that I tried to use the scale effect appears blurry and distorted, but it could have been a problem of automatic update, I'm not sure).

  Here are the details of my installation.

  I'm under PP CS5.5 on Windows 7, and I have a card Nvidia CUDA.

  I shot the video on a Canon Vixia HF/S21 in 1920 x 1080 p at 24 Mbps (Canon calls this MXP and the 'p' is not native, is "drop-down" menu inside the camera).

  My output will be h.264 for the web. I'm fine with the dimensions of the output at 1280 x 720. The output doesn't have to be 1920 x 1080, BUT it would be nice IF I could the 1920 x 1080 output while keeping the image sharp and vivid. If 1280 x 720 gives better results then I'll do it.

  So my questions are the following:

  (1) using the scale effect PPCS5.5 result in a distortion of the image

  -It causes the image to get blurry, less sharp/crisp?

  -(I'm scaling the clips of 50-70%)

  (2) is it interesting to define the parameters of the sequence at 1280 x 720 (instead of match clips at 1920 x 1080)?

  -My thought is to set the parameter sequence to these Dimensions of lower resolution and I can get a 50% scale upwards by simply * not * using 'Ladder to the chassis' on the clips I want 50% furred.

  If you shot 1080 and 720 is finished, allowing some flexibility to scale.  PR calculates scale in two ways, which is very confusing.  If you set your sequence on 720 and preferences to the default scale to the size of the image, all the clips in 1080 you will add later will show 100% in control of the effects > tab, movement, even if the Pr has put across your footage in 1080 at about 45% to frame 720.

  I suggest you uncheck default scale to the size of the image.  Then, when you add your 1080 videos to your 720 sequence, it will be scaling to 100% (for real) and it will be bigger than your raster 720.  Only by doing so you know if you climbed your film beyond 100% when you are panoramic and analysis later.

  Your first clip to meet the sequence, copy and use attributes to paste on the rest of your clips in 1080 to bring to the 720 frame scale to the bottom of the scale.  Then you can make adjustments from there.

  BTW, there is an article on the Adobe site how the CUDA scaling is greater than Ps and Ae scaling.  Maybe someone can find the link or you can search the site from her.

• How to rotate a video clip shot with a mobile phone.  I need to rotate the screen, not just the clip.

  I know how to rotate the clip in the screen using the 'Effects' Panel, but when I export the video finished it is small with a lot of black space around it.  It does not fill the screen.  I don't know there is a way but it can not understand.

  Go into the settings of the sequence and it set to custom and change the framesize.

  Staples can be turned in under the Motion effect options.

  I have a few buttons, and above them a movie clip with a 20% transparency that I use for some graphic effects in my page. But the buttons are not accessible (they do not work) because the layer covers.

  I used the following code to turn off the graphics layer:

  overlay_mc. Enabled = false;
  overlay_mc.mouseEnabled = false;

  but none of them solved the problem. The buttons are always covered and idle.

  Add the rolling code to overlay_mc where you trigger a loop to search a hittestobject with your buttons.  disable the loop in slowing.
