Original title: how come you at start of the menu I know its

Start menu to disable or enable programs

Yes. Start | Run and type:

Msconfig

There is also a startup folder in the start menu. All programs, that's why I wanted to clarify.

  • How to remove startup programs in "msconfig".

First of all, care. Windows 7 Home Premium, SP1, 64-bit.

I'm not having the problem to disable startup programs, but trying to remove them from the list available to a start-up program. Some of these programs (the executable file of the command and its location) no longer exist on my system. Is there a way to remove these items in the startup list, and if so, how?

Unfortunately the only real way to do this is through the registry editor.

If you look at the line for the entry to remove it will track the path of the registry which organizes the statement. You need access to this location and delete the entry.

As always sophisticated editing that the registry should be done with caution and a backup taken 1. If you are not sure then do not.

There is a caveat. If you deleted the line (not checked it) then it will not be there. In order to stop this loading MsConfig moves the entry to an inactive backup key. In order to find the location, you will need to make the current line.

Because it has been moved it not treated during startup so other than to try to keep well stored, there is no specific does delete the line. Indeed, if the line points to a nonexistent file or a path then there no same effect if left. Registry of treatment so much more optimized in Windows 7 and entered orphan have no measurable effect on boot time. Delays of timeout that occurred were resolved.

How to stop startup programs unnecessary upward poping when I start my pc

First of all, note that you should be in * all * the programs that start automatically, not only with those who are in the system tray. Not all the programs auto-start manifesting by an icon in the status bar.

On each program, you don't want to automatically start, check its Options to see if she has the choice to not start (make sure that you actually choose to not run, not simply a "don't display the icon" option). Many can easily and better be arrested like that. If this does not work, run MSCONFIG from the start. Run the line and on the Startup tab, uncheck the programs that you do not want to automatically start.

However, if I were you, I wouldn't do this just for the purpose of the minimum number of running programs. Despite what a lot of people tell you, you should be concerned, not with the way * a lot * of these programs you run, but * that *. Some of them can seriously affect the performance, but others have no effect on performance.

Don't stop all programs to run willy-nilly. What you need to do is to determine what each program is that its value is for you and what the performance cost is running all the time. You can try searching the Internet and ask questions about the details here.

Once you have this information, you can make a smart informed decision on what you want to keep and what you want to get rid of.

    Separated from this thread.

You can use msconfig or the program below.

And search for particular software tools > Options re start.

This utility, which has a knowledge of auto-starting locations of any startup monitor, shows you what programs configured to run at system startup or login and that the entries in the order of processing windows. These programs include those in your startup folder, Run, RunOnce, and other registry keys. You can configure Autoruns to show other locations, including Explorer shell, toolbar extensions, helper objects to the browser, Winlogon notifications, auto and many start-up services even more. • How to manage startup programs if Windows Defender open habit?

When I try to change startup programs, I get an error Windows Defender message: 0x800106ba when I click on the link to open Windows Defender. It used to open this way recently and I read that it might have something to do with other antivirus programs. I was not able to open Windows Defender for the month from the list of programs, but I've always been able to open it when I try to change startup programs, until, like yesterday. I tried running it as administrator and also to open it in the location of the file, but I get the same error message. So, how can I manage my startup programs? Windows Defender is not yet in the list "uninstall programs", but it's in the start menu.

  • How to remove startup programs to include information system?

    I have two questions:

    1. how to eliminate some startup programs - that is to say small icons that appear in the lower right of the screen after the home screen?

    2. What does the following error message, and how can I correct: «entry point procedure RegSetKeyValue is not found in the dynamic library of ink ADVAPTI32.dll»

To answer #1 question, you can use the program 'msconfig' to Microsoft

    (Start-> Run-> "msconfig")

to toggle the elements that run at startup... but especially for diagnostic purposes.

A better way is to download the freeware from Microsoft "AutoRuns".  When you run it, it will show a list of items that run at startup and allow you to uncheck all that you desire.

  • Is there something available for disabling startup programs, similar to the utility of Windows Defender?

Windows Defender had a utility called "Software Explorer", with which you could disable some programs that start with Windows.

is there something similar that does the same work?

You can manage Windows startup items by following these steps:

    1) click the Windows Start button
    2) click on Run
    (3) type msconfig in the field
    4) click on the Startup tab
    (5) uncheck the items you want to start with Windows.

Note: You can also type msconfig in the search of Windows box.

    I hope this helps.

  • Disabled startup programs...

When I run Vista, I receive a notice that two programs in the startup group were "blocked".  By clicking on the display, one of the programs is QTTask.exe by Apple, and the other is EULALauncher.exe.  The size of the file is 17920 bytes, and there is no signature or creater listed.  Anyone know what it is?  It should be deleted?

    Hi Tznal94931,

    A. What is the exact error message?
    B. from when what happens?
    C. recent changes made on the computer?

You can either run or disable blocked programs. The article will guide you through.

  • How manage/remove startup programs in Windows 7

    Crikey!

You people are things made and actions 'hard '!

With "how manage/remove programs startup in Windows 7?",...

Everything I've ever done is to find the startup program (in the "All programs" list, have a good overview of what is there, then, VERY SIMPLY, remove those I don't want to open at startup.)

When THIS is done, the program (s), I have DELETED does NOT start.

    At the start, never!

    Period!

Some software packages will place their TITLE... at the beginning, without your consent.

And, it's 'how' I get rid of them. I have this same title... in the "All programs" list, in any case!

Autoruns is a great program for geeks, but for the average home user it generates so much information it can be a nightmare.

Stick to the MsConfig - Startup tab in a 1st time, but start in programs and features when cleaning. You don't need to worry about something in the boot if you can remove the program anyway.

Printer drivers HP is a good example. Many have their program of customer Participation and the consumables installation order plated on by default, but for the majority of users, as they are not necessary. Despite a message claiming that, on the contrary they do not affect printer operation at all.

  • Help! How to disable a program when it is on a broken computer hard drive / crashed?

Help! My computer died and I had to have a new hard drive installed (so basically like having another computer) and I need to reinstall first Pro CC immediately because I'm now behind a project that I need to work at this time, but I PPCC installed on a computer on the floor, I can't use often and hard disk broken that I can't turn off. I need to somehow disable the MCCP on broken drive (which I just can't leave the player or the program itself) so I can re - install new hard disk and use it. The thing is I do not know how and I can't seem to find a customer support phone number anywhere, I expect a little more than that of a company as large as Adobe. Please, if you know what to do, please share. Thank you!

    Hi Katy,.

A retail license is good for 2 computers according to the end-user license agreement.

You can go ahead and install the software on the 2nd laptop.

In case you want to install a 3rd then CC will be automatically you invite, if you want to disable one of the previous activations and then you can proceed to the deactivation of the license on the computer earlier.
