to uninstall programs, you follow the information microsoft at the link below

How to DISABLE settings for windows deffender, I turned it on, it might conflict with my McAfee Mc

I answered his question and told him how to turn it off. Not knowing its OS also I said to uninstall if you use XP.

How to disable Lenovo energy management
I have Vista Home Premium on my Y430. Once I disabled Lenovo Energy Management and used the Vista build-in power management. My impression was that the battery lasted longer when you use the build-in one than Lenovo Energy Management (4 hours from 3 hours in symmetric mode).
I activated there is Lenovo energy management. But now I don't remember how to turn it off. Does anyone know how to disable? Thank you very much.
I found a way to disable management of the energy of Lenovo using Windows Defender. Click 'Start'--> 'All programs', right click on "Windows Defender", select "run as Administrator". Click the 'tools' at the top of the window, and then click "Software Explorer". Click on 'Show for all users' in the lower left corner. In the "Category" list, select "startup programs". Select "Lenovo Battery Management Software VerX.X" on the left panel. At the bottom of the Panel, click the button 'Disable' (or 'Remove'). Lenovo Energy Management this will prevent to run the next time that you start your laptop.
To activate it, just follow the steps above and click 'Activate' to the last step. Or you can go to 'Control panel'--> 'Power Options'--> 'change plan settings'--> "Change power settings advanced"--> "Lenovo Energy Management" to enable it.

I'm having the problem of Windows/McAfee. If I disable Windows Defender, how can I go about deleting items in the start menu?
Appreciate the help.Hi BurrowD,
Thank you for using answers Forum.
Are what McAfee/Windows problem you referring?
You can prevent some programs from startup to startup Vista by checking to see if there is a shortcut in the startup folder by clicking Start > all programs > startup. You can safely delete or move icons on the desktop to run when you want.
You can prevent some positions loading using MSConfig, this is however not the recommended procedure.
You can click on start and type msconfig in the search field and click on the entry that appears near the top.
Then click on the Startup tab.I hope this helps.

How to remove Windows Defender from Vista?
Anyone know how to remove Windows Defender? It is not on the list of programs that can be uninstalled. When I try to remove it from the tree, I get a message that only a "TrustedInstaller" can remove it.
It's been nothing but trouble I got my new PC in August. I spent in Avast and MalwareBytes, but I can't stop the system to get scans in tenacious Defender. I wanted to get rid of it because it will not update install. It keeps telling me that there are updates available, but the progress bar comes in with a small piece of the execution and the stalls.
Updates Windows continues to tell me it is another Defender update available and also stops at install.
Looks like Microsoft could do a better job of coordinating its products. I'm ready to throw the new computer and become a ludites.
Help!
I uninstall Norton before that I installed Avast. I went to 'Services' and 'arrested' Defender. Then I went to 'Properties' and 'Disabled' Defender. This should at least stop notifications. You can't repeat to you, I got it.

Disable windows defender in group policy
Hello
I want to disable Windows Defender (WD), so it is not incompatible with my Internet security software. I disabled WD "msconfig.exe" and "services". However, on sites on my security software, they also advise to disable WD in "group policy" but unfortunately the instructions appear only in German. As a result, nobody knows what/where is this group policy and how to disable WD it contains?
I hope someone can help.
Hello
The Group Policy Editor does not come with versions of Vista Home.
The Group Policy Editor doesn't come before Vista professional, full and firm.

How to stop windows defender updates to install immediately
I have Vista SP2, fully implemented to date. Processor 3 Ghz, 2 GB ram. I have my windows updates set to automatic at 03:00. These always install at 03:00 or when I select Install. The problem I have is that these Windows Defender updates install immediately as soon as my pc starts or soon there after. They seem to be ignoring my settings of windows updates. It really drives me crazy because I have to wait and stop what I want to do both. Windows defender updates slow down my pc or freeze the programs sometimes while I'm trying to use the pc. Same IE9 sometimes freezes because of them. Sometimes, I have to restart the pc to make it work well. They scan as soon as they install and they install as soon as they are published. They are supposed to be for help, not to make my pc use miserable. How can I make windows defender updates obey my windows update settings?
Have you tried to install manually instead of by means of automatic updates?
NIS 2012 should have disabled Windows Defender when it has been installed on your Vista operating system. You turn Windows Defender?
What you describe as gel application hangs, looks slow performance software conflicts such as those that occur between contradictory antimalware programs.
I no longer use Windows Defender because of the risk of conflicts and problems with MSE. I know people who have asked for advice in the forums etc who have had similar problems that you and their options were to uninstall or disable Windows Defender or uninstall their existing such as MSE, Norton, AVG, AV program. Uninstall Windows Defender is not necessary, eliminated the problems of error messages, etc.
You may notice the following excerpt from:
Q: what happens if I do not disable or uninstall Windows Defender, if I use Microsoft Security Essentials?
A: If Microsoft Security Essentials and Windows Defender are both running, your system can know the performance degradation and other problems caused by the conflict of two services providing real-time protection at the same time. The same Council also applies to people who use NIS, and Windows Defender.
If you want to ignore my suggestions it is certainly your option.
If you can continue to follow this thread maybe someone else will have another suggestion for your question.
Kind regards...
