How to do a silent installation of 22 of Firefox?

I tried to do a silent install of Firefox v22 (on a machine that does not have another version installed) via the switch - ms, but the wizard has yet emerged. It's the same thing when I tried to use a file config.ini via the /INI. switch How to do a silent installation now?

"Firefox Setup Stub 22.0" isn't the Firefox full installation package, which is an installer online, which is only 274KO, where the full installer is 20.8 MB (US version)

  • How to create a silent installation batch file multiple progams

    Hello world.
I want to create a batch (*.bat) leader who can auto install some of my programs on my CD in silence. In fact, I am the owner of a cyber-café and I format my computer once a week. After formatting and reinstalling XP, I installed some programs like Adobe reader 10.1.1 Google Chrome, Microsoft Office 2003 file formats converter, google chrome, mozilla firefox, which you know is a necessity for a cyber café user. Installing a program one takes a lot of time and somewhat frustrating. So, I want it to be automated. I post a screenshot to make it easy for you to understand the issue.

This issue is beyond the scope of this site (for consumers) and to be sure, you get the best (and fastest) reply, we have to ask either on Technet (for IT Pro) or MSDN (for developers)

  • Fixes silent installation

    Hi all

I'm doing a silent installation off vWorkspace 8.01 with Microsoft SCCM. Silent installation of vWorkspace is not a problem, but when I try to do a silent install of the mandatory patches with the options/s/v/qn it will not be installed.

You can see the fix running and a few second the vWorkspace screen appears and asks me to click on next.

Also, I tried to unzip the program installation, but without a bit of luck.

Is there anyone who knows how to do a silent installation of these patches?

    Best regards, Maik

    Never mind

found. First, he must start the configuration... Go to your temporary location to enter to the folder not packed. To do an installation of: hotfix.mps/passive /norestart... Silent mode does not work :)

But I don't mind having a status bar...

  • Silent installation of functional content (first and still)

Can someone tell me how to perform a silent installation of the functional content on Windows after you deploy with JEAN on Windows 7?

    Setup.exe +?

    Hello

Method to deploy the business content is the same as the deployment of the main products. You must create a new package for each functional content using JEAN (the folder that contains the functional content has a setup.exe inside). And then, you can silently deploy the MSI resulting using tools such as SCCM. Or you can deploy the msi to the client machines with command line

    msiexec /i /qn.

Please let us know if you find any problems.

  • Silent installation for the support of the shortcut key?

It is really a last resort for me to post here. I looked everywhere else I can.

Can someone tell me please how to install the latest version of the assistance of hotkey HP softpaq silently and without a restart?

    • The laptop I have is a Probook 6570 b
    • The OS is Windows 7 Pro x 86
    • The softpaq is: SP59202 (version 4.6.10.1)

Previous versions of this permit for a silent installation, no reboot, but the last is different.

I can get it to install by extracting the Setup.exe from the SP59202 executable and it works with the switches: s/v/qn/s but it still restarts the computer at the end.

It MUST be possible. Help, please.

    Andy.

    AndyChips,

Perhaps too late, but here's what works for me. Run the 'setup.exe' on any machine to decompress. No need to complete the installation, simply start it. Once you start manual installation it will unpack everything into something like C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Temp\{2A7766D0...}. Download the entire folder in MDT. Also, I tried all sorts of variations/q /quiet/ - s, etc., but it never worked for me. Once I tried:

    msiexec /i "HP Hotkey Support.msi" /qn /norestart

Andi that it worked. The package I've used is sp59346. Could also help you! ;-)

  • Silently installation of Oracle Database 12 c on Ubuntu 14.04. Server

    Hello everyone,

I try to install the Oracle database 12 c on a headless Ubuntu 14.04 server, using the silent mode of the Oracle Universal Installer with a response file (see attachment). As this Linux distribution does not seem to be officially supported, I followed the instructions, I found in this tutorial, http://tutorialforlinux.com/2014/10/01/how-to-install-oracle-12c-database-for-ubuntu-14-04-trusty-lts-64bit-linux-easy-guide/and was able to install the database software. During installation, as described in the tutorial, I have to change some files makefile in the target installation directory, then click on 'Retry' to continue the installation. Because I need to perform a silent installation, the "Retry" button does not appear and the Installer continues just to complete the installation with the promising message "Oracle 12 c database installation has succeeded.", despite several mistakes of links that I find in the log files. So, I make the suggested changes makefile after installation and retrigger the binding process manually (called "repeat all"), which looks after all ends correctly that I can now run "sqlplus" etc. In addition, I ran the script of post-installation (one of them as a root user), as requested by the installer.

However, now I find the system without a data base of departure, even though I have it set up in the answer file that I gave to the Oracle Universal Installer. Without doubt, routines important installation required for the configuration of the database have been ignored by the errors of liaison took place. To be complete, they are linking errors I find in the configuration log file (and that I solved it by changing the files makefile and running 'repeat all' after installation):

    Error in invoking target 'all_no_orcl' of makefile ' / home/oracle/app/oracle/product/12.1.0/dbhome_1/rdbms/lib/ins_rdbms.mk'. [...]

Error invoking the "utilities" in the makefile target ' / home/oracle/app/oracle/product/12.1.0/dbhome_1/rdbms/lib/ins_rdbms.mk'. [...]

Error in invoking target 'install' of makefile ' / home/oracle/app/oracle/product/12.1.0/dbhome_1/network/lib/ins_net_server.mk'. [...]

Error in invoking target 'irman ioracle' of makefile ' / home/oracle/app/oracle/product/12.1.0/dbhome_1/rdbms/lib/ins_rdbms.mk'. [...]

Can I rerun the Universal Oracle install from the point where the binding process has failed, i.e., without crushing the makefile changes that I had to perform in the oracle home directory?

Or is there a way to tell the silent installer to suspend Setup error (giving me the opportunity to resolve the problem immediately) and delivers a 'Retry' to continue the installation from there?

For development purposes, I need a database of startup clean and fully configured, including pre-installed packages (especially Oracle Spatial).

Thank you very much for your suggestions!

Thank you for your answers, I now get a solution to the problem.

@12cdb: RPM Installation was not an option because it is not recommended on Ubuntu.

@Srini Vernon-Oracle: I am aware that a Ubuntu system is not an environment supported for installation of database Oracle, as mentioned in my question. There are reasons why the passage to another distribution is not an option in my setup, that's why I asked for advice.

    The solution is the following:

-Install the database in "Software only" mode (silent, using a response file).

-Fix the linker errors as described in the tutorial.

    -Recreate a link.

S ' ensure that the kernel is properly configured as described on this page: http://docs.oracle.com/database/121/LADBI/app_manual.htm#LADBI7866

-Use "dbca" silently with a response file to create the database.

  • vCenter Server 5.5 silent installation problem

Our requirement is, vCenter Server 5.5 must be installed in silent mode with its default SQL express database.

  • Install an application without silent installation

    Hello

I'm looking to build a virtual appliance with applications components that don't have a silent installation and cannot be invoked as part of the VM Studio script create profile. How to install these components and include them in the virtual machine image?

As construction progresses for the base OS (Windows 2008 Server), I see that the passenger VM on the ESX host and go to the transitional VM console, I can see the instance of Windows Installer. Is there a way to complete the installation and having the VM console transitional wait for me finish the rest of the components of the application and then trigger an exit from the VM to the Studio of the virtual machine can finish the rest of his work?

    Thank you.

I believe you can exec a program like Notepad (or something similar) in the post installation script request, this will result in the script in expectation of the end of the notepad process. Now you can install your application and when you're done, exit Notepad and the build must fill.

  • Silent installation of WLS 1.0.3.5.0 and BEA_BUNDLED_JVMS?

I am trying to perform a silent installation of Weblogic Server 1.0.3.5.0 and I need to install only the JDK from Sun together. There is a BEA_BUNDLED_JVMS parameter and if I put jdk160_24 there, the installation does not install any JDK and leaves commEnv.cmd without JAVA_HOME. If I delete the parameter, Setup installs the two < BEA_HOME > / jdk160_24 and /jrockit_160_24_D1.1.2-4 < BEA_HOME > and set JAVA_HOME to jrockit. How to make the installation in silent mode for just install jdk160_24 and configure variable commEnv.cmd as a result? The platform is Windows.

    The documentation says

    BEA_BUNDLED_JVMS
Ability to select BEA bundled JVMS (for example)

  • Configuration and ColdFusion 10 silent installation

    Hello

CF 10 docs seem a little thin on the configuration object and silent installation / silent / scripted.

I need to find a fully automated (scripted) way to do these things:

    (1) installation of ColdFusion server in stand-alone mode 10

    (2) create instances of additional servers

    (3) configure separately each server instance (parameters, data sources, mappings, etc.)

It is currently possible with CF 10? If Yes, where is the documentation?

I aim a cookbook from Chef to perform installations without assistance of CF10 on a farm of Linux guests without a head. Manual configuration through the user administrator interface is a deal breaker defined here.

    Thanks in advance!

  • How to create a custom installation of Firefox?

I would like to install a customized version of Firefox on multiple computers. I want to customize Firefox in the following way:

-Set the default language to English.
-Set the default Google search engine and set the default Firefox search engine language to English.
-Open new tabs by default (instead of new windows).
-Set the homepage of a particular web site.
    -Preinstalled with a PDF Viewer.
    -Preinstalled with some extra plugins.

I would like to create a unique customized version of Firefox that I can distribute to these other computers, rather than do all the installation program by hand. These machines will probably be Windows, but I work from a Mac. I know how to make some of them on my own installation of Firefox (for example, to change the subject: the configuration file, change my preferences) but do not know how to do something I can deploy.

    How would I achieve that?

By default Firefox already does almost all of these (language, new tabs instead of windows, built in PDF reader, etc.). If you want to deploy additional parameters, http://mike.kaply.com/cck2/ might be able to help.

  • Windows Firefox 29 silent installation

I've been scouring the internet for a while looking for a way to do a silent install of Firefox via command line. As I just discovered, the - ms and the/ini methods only work in many older versions of Firefox.

When I try install the silencer - ms, the first half of the install works fine, until it gets to the second half. As it appears, the second half asks first of all the admin password (which is didn't need), then it proceeds to the second half very visible installation (another click to download and install Firefox and other useless to ask the admin password).

What I think happens is that the first Setup is actually just to install another Installer (in the appdata/temp folder) and then open this installer and remove it when it's done. This second installation program does not support the command - ms operating on its own.

    Anyone got any ideas?

    Found the answer.

I went and that reported on bugzilla, and after talking more with someone, it has been revealed that he has no intention to include silent install for the installer General "stub" based. But the silent install does it work if you use the full Installer (which does not use the double installation found in the general installation program and can be downloaded here: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/ )

The full installer does regular support - ms silent installation. To get rid of the requests for authorization of the admin, just run it high (aka: run as administrator).

After this conversation, the mozilla wiki has been updated accordingly: https://wiki.mozilla.org/Installer:Command_Line_Arguments
