  Hi guys,.

  I have trouble getting my HP EliteBook 8460p Hotkeys in Windows 8.1 - at work - it someone you know this problem and maybe can tell me/us a solution to this?

  I tried to install "HP Hotkey Support" in these versions: 4.6.10.1, 5.0.11.1, 5.0.20.1, but none of these works. The installation will cast (after explicit install Framework 3.5 SP1 MS, because with Win 8.1 Integrated Framework 4.0 it doesn't, run the Setup program) and does deliver no errors, the processes are running but shortcut keys do not work.

  All other devices are working (sometimes with a few things) - so if anyone need help with the installation of Win 8.1 on a p 8460 EliteBook - do not hesitate to ask!

  I solved the problem after many experimental works... Here is the solution:

  -Support Hotkey HP for Windows 8.1.

  1. install MS Framework 3.5 SP1 (windows control panel/programs/add to control features)

  2 get the Hotkey driver version 4.5.9.1 for Windows 7 on site support driver HP EliteBook 8460p (that's sp56876)

  3 unzip the package

  4. go to C:\swsetup\sp56876 and open properties and go to the "compatibility" tab and choose the compatibility mode 'Windows 7' list

  5. check "run as Administrator".

  6. install

  Each driver now works with Windows 8.1 on the 8460p ElitePad.

Assume that if you have a title and then you just press the shortcut keys and the title is underlined while typing and then you simply reverse the same to continue without pointing out the remaining sentence.

  Order header Source is the origin of the order-using the OM Super user responsibility, see Setup-> controls-> import Sources.  I think that external is a Source Type on the command line that indicates if the line item will be provided by your org or bought.

  If you have creatively Cloud Complete/All Apps, you should have the complete list of available desktop applications.

  Yes, I think that it is almost impossible without having to edit the .kys file, which is not as simple as I had hoped. I finished by simply using shift + return which worked well.

  If you are using Windows Vista, you must install Toshiba Value added Package. This package contains drivers for the FN keys do you mean. Installation is pretty easy, you need to do is follow the on-screen instructions and restart the laptop.

  You can answer this question yourself as on the Toshiba site, you can find the installation instructions document. Use this list as an installation order recommended to work properly for laptop.

  In any case, for the FN keys, you need:

  -Controls
  -Utility Hotkey for display devices

  I bought a computer laptop ac179tx HP15 that comes with freeDOS. I installed windows 10 and all the drivers that are given on the HP website. The shortcut keys for control of brightness, volume, etc. do not work even after you have installed all the drivers. I even tried some drivers that have been proposed in the hp forum for this issue for other laptops. They do not seem to work... Pls help... Thank you...

  Please download the HP System Event Software-Solutions utility and install it on your laptop to test if it works.
