How to do a system restore on a computer full laptop gateway running vista home

I need to do a complete system restore on a computer gateway with anyone who can help me

Hello

By doing a "full system restore" do you mean to restore laptop to factory conditions or to restore the laptop to an earlier date using Windows system restore?

If you want to restore the laptop to factory conditions see this gateway support page:

http://support.gateway.com/s/software/Microsof/Vista/7515910/7515910su9.shtml

If you want to use Windows system restore see this Web page:

    Hi M.MARRIN,

    ·         If it works much earlier? If so, then remember to make changes to the computer, after which the issue started?

If you run your finger vertically down the outer edge of the touchpad and then the scroll bar will be activated. If you do not want to use the scroll bar or if you want to reduce the sensitivity of the scroll bar, then you can try to modify the settings of the mouse. Take a look at the following link for more information or take a look at the manual that came with the computer and check how to change touchpad settings:

    I hope this helps.

What virus? How do you know if you're a? What anti-virus program
    are you running?

It is very rare that you need to reinstall Windows because you are
infected by a virus. A good antivirus program should be able to
Remove it for you, and it is much easier to reinstall
Windows, reinstall all your programs, reloading of your data backups.
install the necessary drivers, etc.. And reinstall Windows often leads
    to its own problems.

but I'm not sure how to reload Windows. I have a product key but no disc because it came not preloaded on the laptop.

You probably have a recovery partition which is there to be used for
This effect. Read the manual of your laptop computer or contact the manufacturer
for instructions on how to do it.

The manual also has instructions on how to burn the content of the
This partition on a DVD, so you'll have something so hard drive
crashes. Who should be the first thing you did when you got
the computer and if you have not yet done so, you should do so as soon as POSSIBLE.

  • How can I create system recovery disc for a new laptop with windows 7 Home Premium?

I just bought my daughter a new Toshiba Satellite with Windows 7 Home Premium laptop last night. The laptop came with a Windows restore disk. How to create a set of boot from the DVD then when the system fails, or I need a new facility? I created a system repair disc and two-disc Image recovery. Is this enough to fully restore Windows 7 to the initial state of machines? (Technology at best buy assured me that it was nothing that I was able to do and that they would do for me for $70.00.)

In short: my Dell came with a system recovery disk which was very convenient. I would like to reproduce this convenience with Windows 7. Any help appreciated.

    Jim

You will need to follow the manufacturers directions to create the recovery media. Looks like you've done that, but Toshiba could only say with certainty. I recommend that you contact their customer service.

I do not understand how my other computer (vista) I would like to do system restore to factory settings without using discs and what a custom?

    Hello

You do not use the Vista System Restore feature to put your computer to the factory settings.

System Restore updates only your computer settings to an earlier date.

How to do a restore to factory settings, ask your computer manufacturer.

You would either find a way to start the process under programs > then the manufacturer of the computer software > look it up it > or you will need to press some keys at startup.

It would be either F10, F11, Alt + F10, etc., depending on the manufacturer.

Ask them how to do it because it's their recovery process.

Or ask them to send you a set of Vista recovery disks to reinstall the operating system.

They should do this for a small fee.

    See you soon.

p.s. Save your files as all data will be lost normally when you perform a restore to the factory settings

Original title: turn on restoration of the system in windows 7 Home Premium, 64-bit edition

    Hello

Before posting my question that I searched for information on how to start the system restore of this forum.  However, after reading several posts I'm not sure what to do.  A post suggests accessing the system of Protection, by selecting a drive and then clicking on configure and selecting one of the options.  In this case I'm not sure which one to choose: recovery or C.  For the moment I turned on recovery (that was turned off) and chosen for the restoration of the points, but I feel that this can be a problem.

Another answer suggested turning on the shadow copy of Volume in the systems that I did too.  Can you please give me step by step instructions on how to run properly on the system restore.  Thank you.

    Hello

    This can help you:

    1. If you are using Norton, you should disable Norton inviolable Protection before using the system restore.

    2. try to use Safe Mode system restore.

3 Malware will stop at the system restore.

Download, install, update and scan your system with the free version of Malwarebytes AntiMalware, if necessary in Mode safe mode with networking:

I am running vista home basic, how you can increase the size of the D: Recovery drive

    Hello

You use the D: Partition of recovery in 3 different ways to reinstall the operating system.

    1. you press a particular key or key combination at startup, F10, F11, Alt + F10 etc. to begin the process of recovery in new condition (as you bought) in the event of system failure.

    2. start > programs > find software from the manufacturer of your computer > look for a recovery method

    3. you can do recovery disk to reinstall the operating system in case of hard drive failure.

This will save you the purchase of the computer manufacturer's recovery disks.

The manufacturer will advise you on the options
