    original title: white screen

I can only run Vista in Mode without failure. When I run normally, I get a blank with a slider screen once I connect. Any suggestions?

    Hello

1st thing to try is a restoration of the system in safe mode

    http://www.windowsvistauserguide.com/system_restore.htm

    Windows Vista

    Using the F8 method:

    1. Restart your computer.
    2. When the computer starts, you will see your computer hardware are listed. When you see this information begins to tap theF8 key repeatedly until you are presented with theBoot Options Advanced Windows Vista.
    3. Select the Safe Mode option with the arrow keys.
    4. Then press enter on your keyboard to start mode without failure of Vista.
    5. To start Windows, you'll be a typical logon screen. Connect to your computer and Vista goes into safe mode.
    6. Do whatever tasks you need and when you are done, reboot to return to normal mode.

  • Window remains white screen after starting windows screen. the system hangs after Mup.sys on safe mode

The title pretty much everything said.

The problem occurred on a fault that Dell Vostro 2510 with the additional option should only do the downgrade of Win Xp (from Vista).  As noted, on normal startup, the system will remain in a blank screen after the Windows Xp "loading" screen.  And on safe mode, it will join Mup.sys and then hang there.

The closest thing that I got from a web search was a thread in forum saying that the official info from Microsoft was that it was a question of Win Xp/motherboard (http://www.hardwareanalysis.com/content/topic/31874/?o=40 halfway to a post by Bobb Fwed).  The poster provided no link, so I don't know how official his info was really.

  • How to use a screen saver in Windows 7?

    Original title: Screen saver

My screensaver allows to work with Webshots, now using MS (or Picasa), I would like to have a screen saver.

I tried without success and frustrated.

Just tell me a simple way to use a screen saver in Windows 7.

If this isn't a problem of 'Performance and Maintenance', please put it in the right area.

    Hello

The best way to add a screen saver in Windows 7 is around a theme. To do this: go to control panel and select personalization. When this window opens scroll down and you can change the desktop background, color of the window, the sound and screen saver. Set any one or all the of them for what you want and when you have finished setting regardless of the changes you want, make right click on the unsaved half theme top of the box and select Save the theme as and enter any name you want. Then, you will always have this theme available to choose from.

  • How to change screen ASP in Windows 7 Professional

I use a PC running Windows 7 Professional.
My PSA of default interface is Japanese, but I want to change from Japanese to English.

Is it possible to change? or it is supported in only Windows 7 Enterprize?

    Hello

Unfortunately, the display language will not work as a professional.

  • How to change the user name in windows 7 Professional?

I recently installed windows 7 Professional and by chance I typed my user name and the computer when it prompted me to type it in. When I had typed the wrong characters in and click on 'Next', he wouldn't let me go back and change it, so I was stuck with an unwanted user/computer name. I managed to change the name of the computer for the word you want, but I didn't always know how to change my username.

I went to user accounts, and there was an option to change the name of the account, so I did.
However, none of my directories has changed its name, and all processes in the Task Manager were still running under the same previous user name, which I did not want it to be.

Is there a way to change the username of an account so it affects all the directories, files, folders, etc. without creating a new account with that name? Or, if possible, copy all the files and preferences of the current account to another account with this name?

    Any help is appreciated.

You cannot change a user account by changing just the name. Simply by changing the name will do a cosmetic change only and does not affect the underlying files/folders in the profile.

    1. from an account with administrator privileges, go to control panel > user accounts and to create the new user account named Standard the way you want to and at least one additional administrator account. Call the last 'CompAdmin' or 'Tech' or similar.
2 log in to the new Standard user account once if the profile of the files/folders are created and then connect to CompAdmin.
    3. now go to control panel > system > advanced > user profile > settings
    4. you will see where you can copy user accounts. Copy the old account to the new from there. Use her browse to select your new account (C:\Users\newaccount).
5 log in to the new account correctly named and make sure all your stuff is here and it works as you want. When you are satisfied, you can log on and CompAdmin and remove the old account from the control panel > user accounts.

If you want to access your account again, it is corrected automatically, follow these steps:

Start Orb > Search box > type: netplwiz [Enter]
Click continue (or provide an administrator password) when you are prompted by UAC

Uncheck "users must enter a user name and password to use this computer". Select a user account to connect automatically by clicking on the account you want to highlight and press OK. Enter the password for this user account (when it exists) when you are prompted. Leave blank if there is no password (null).

General recommendations for the establishment of user accounts

You absolutely don't want to have only one user account. Like XP, Vista and all the other modern operating systems, Windows 7 is an OS multi-user with integrated system of accounts such as administrator, by default, all users invited. These accounts should be left alone because they are part of the structure of the operating system.

In particular, you do not want account only one user with administrative privileges on Windows 7 because the administrator account integrated (normally only used in emergencies) is disabled by default. If you use as an administrator for your daily work, and this account is corrupt, things will be difficult. It is not impossible to activate the built-in administrator to rescue things, but it will take third-party tools and work outside the operating system.

The user account that is for your daily work must be a Standard user, with the extra administrative user (call it something like 'CompAdmin' or 'Tech' or similar) only it for elevation purposes. After you have created "CompAdmin", connect to it and change your normal user account Standard. Then log on to your regular account.

If you want to go directly to the desktop and ignore the Welcome screen with the icons of the user accounts, you can do this by following the instructions written in the first part of this post.

  • Black screen on startup - Windows 7 Professional

I recently installed Windows 7 Professional on my laptop MSI, 4 GB of RAM, processor Intel (r) Core (TM) 2 Duo CPU, 32-bit operating system, Nvidia GeForce 9600 m GT 512 MB.

When I turn it on, there is all black screen. I pull the battery (until I discovered F8) and it starts in safe mode with network. Then, I reboot safe mode and windows load correctly. Two days before the blackout, the cursor would freeze too.

Note I've read related topics, like the one in which it is suggested to disable the graphics drivers, and I recently downloaded new ones from Nvidia, but it started two or three days later, so I doubt it has to do with the graphics drivers.

Should I try with the system restore or perhaps reinstall Windows?

Yesterday, I found and installed both updates Optional:

1 Realtek driver update for Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller

    2 update for Windows 7 (KB976422)

In any case, this morning, the windows loading straight, so with this optional support, the problem could be solved. I hope that nothing will change in the future, however.

  • How to do a clean install of Windows 7 Professional of a DVD on the ProBook s 4530?

So I have Windows 7 Home Premium 64 - bit installed on my laptop and I want to get rid of it completely and to do a clean install of Windows 7 Professional 64 bit from a DVD.
I don't want to use windows anytime upgrade somehow! Because I have a few serious bugs with my current installation and a clean install, I can be sure to get rid of them

I'd appreciate if someone could tell me how exactly to do this and if all my data will be deleted. If so, will it download all drivers HP and the software again by myself? :/

    roby1324 wrote:

Bugs are not serious but they affect several programs and it is impossible to use my laptop, I was doing.
And no, I have no recovery option, I don't have any dvd with my laptop, or something like that and personally I didn't do all the backups. Which was a mistake that I won't repeat.
In addition, because of my college, I get a free copy of win 7 professional so why not use it?
I have already burned on a DVD, now I just need to detail how a facility own n_n
So after I installed win 7 Professional I just copy and replace Driverstore and C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRVSTORE instead of download the drivers?
BTW, I'll accept your next answer as the snap

You will use the copied Driverstore and C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRVSTORE for is the source of the drivers when you then. Do not replace the folder in the new installation of Windows with the folder that you copied from the initial installation of Windows. It would not be a good idea.

Once you have done the copy of the file and have it practice you can simply put the installation DVD into the DVD drive and boot from it. There will be a point where asks you if you want to save your previous installation. Say no to it.

At this stage you can always do a defined recovery disk. I recommend that you do this. This is the copy of the operating system and drivers you purcased your PC with. If you do not want is not a problem like UO can always buy it at HP over the next years.

I always use the button of the combination to take screenshots, which is the right key? And where the system screenshots are going? I'm a Dell with Windows 7 laptop operating company.

When you select Prt Scr, the screenshot goes to the clip board.

To see it, select a photo editing software like Paint (select the start ORB, all programs, accessories, paint)

Then select Paste or CTRL + V

Windows 7 also has a great program called the tool captures under all programs.

It allows you to select a party any of the screen and save it.
