How to empty my Source monitor?

Hello, I work with lots of photos and use the project window as a way to organize a story-board and display my photos in the source monitor to check I'm going. Sometimes, he does not display the photo more and stays on the last screen. Then I realized that if I'm looking for the Source monitor Panel under the header 'Window' (it will list the main headers at the top of my workspace all photos that I opened in! with the done current TIC TAC on.) So I guess I need to empty because it is full... I asked the question in a different way to the community in the field of research, but he has not returned nothing so I hope that someone here will have the answer for me.  I guess I could use the other program to the storyboard ("I forgot what it's called!) but I try to stick with what I know! Oh I got 'Bridge', but I still know. Thank you for any input :)

You should have an option to close all the menu drop down.

  • Source monitor empty when reloading my project

    Hello

When I start Adobe Premiere, it opens my last project the last time that I have somehow closed/saved except for the Source monitor.

Whenever I open my project, I have to drag my video in the Source monitor and continue my work.

Is there a way to have my video in the Source monitor whenever I load my project?

    Thank you

    Hello

There is no such preferences that can allow the source monitor display images by default. You click and open a file in the source monitor.

  • How open only a single clip in the source monitor Panel?

OK, the answer to this question may be simple... If all goes well...

Right now whenever I open a clip in the source monitor Panel it adds to the drop-down list.

Well... but I'm opening and closing hundreds of clips per day, and after a while I noticed that it seemed to slow down the entire system PPCS5.5.

It seems that the PP seems to keep each clip I open... active.

    Screen shot 2011-11-07 at 1.25.06 PM.png

Is it possible not to allow only a single clip to be open at a time in the source monitor... other than having to close their first? (would be ideal if there was some sort of shortcut as shift-doubleclick)

No, nothing like this. I do not think that this opening up of dozens or several clips in the Panel Monitor Source would lead to slowing down the system important (at least, I never noticed this). I suppose there might be some kind of memory leak, but I'm not sure.

What is your source footage? The system seems more sensitive after you close the clips in the Source monitor?

  • How do I audition separate audio tracks in the source monitor Panel?

I don't see anything about this in the help doc.

I want to hear all four tracks independently of a P2 card, but when I insert an element in the Source monitor, it seems that I hear only a track, or maybe I heard all four.  Honestly, I don't know what I'm listening.

You listen to one; Premiere Pro is screwed in that regard. Audio monitoring in the Source monitor Panel is limited to one track at a time, either EQ or stereo.

Switch to the Audio waveform display and then click the track selector. It is default to channel 1.

Unfortunately, it remains active for the current clip. When you're done screaming and swearing, please file a feature request for more intelligent audio surveillance: Adobe feature request/Bug Report Form

  • How to access the source timecode in the timeline?

    Hello

When I enter a time code while in the panel mounting, the prescription jumps to absolute timecode. How to access the source timecode of the clip on the prescription is?

    THX,

    Jayson

You can't directly.  You need to charge this element in the Source monitor, where you can go the desired timecode, and then make a game framework reverse to get to the very image of this sequence.

  • Cannot paste, insert a clip to the timeline Source monitor in CC2015.3

Someone at - it a solution or a fix for this problem? I am currently using, to make a paste insert and am getting an error.

    - The hotkey to make a paste insert does not work in the source Panel to place a clip on my calendar. I get a pop up Clip Fit I've ever seen before, all the boxes are shaded & the only option is the sequence ignore exit point. Then we glue the clip at the beginning of the timeline, regardless of where the playhead is.

It also States that the source is longer than the destination, regardless of trim (I & O) points I made in the source monitor. The source element is only 3 seconds with my points of toppings, so it makes no sense.

Is this another bug 2015.3? How can I fix this please. Would like to make a paste simple insertion of the source monitor

Check that you don't have to points together on the timeline, if the playhead is not parked at the point of in.

Timeline to points will take precedence.

  • new mac pro 6 core 64 GB of RAM: reading late 4K files timeline and source monitor

Here is my speed.  not that I understand all the details of this test, but it seems relatively quickly.

I experience lag during playback of 4 K, the monitor source or online images of scene.  in other words, when I hit play it takes half a second to one second to read.  Once he plays, he has no problem.

deselection of video keyframes, remove all unused audio tracks (3 cam project) does not help.  Once a clip plays back (and it reads without problems as I said), when you can come back at the beginning of the clip (up arrow), he rereads - i.e. begins once again - no lag.  in the scenario, let's say you chop a 20 minute interview (ok, in detail: each element seems to be 05:51 long and about 5 GB, h264 - must be an automatic feature on the camera in terms of storage - in other words, no large files of 20 GB or whatever it is)-so when you this chop into smaller pieces, when you then go further down the same hashed clip It is delayed once again.  even if it is the same file on the computer.  then return to the where it did not delay initially, this part now shifts again.

When I put the 1080 p prores files in the project, fast lighting everything.  (I'm talking to navigate and manipulate items in the editing or even source monitor Panel.  I'm not talking rendering and output.  "I think it works very well.)  I'm at the limit of whats possible with my machine and the sequences of 4K with PP?  This is the format?  intuition and several years of experience tell me whatever it is 422 still works perfectly but nothing h264 will always be even the fastest machine to work so hard.  right?  evil?

    PP CC was last updated

    El capitan (guilty?)

today work with 5400 1 speed 4 thunderbolt to drive rocketstor toaster.  not insanely fast, but as I said, once I got the game on a clip I already hit play previously, it works without lag.  So how is it possible?  What is this feature that makes this place?  There seems to be things loading in the bg who then are responsible - and when you place this specific element to the following, even if both refer to the same file, you have this lag again.  between the second half and second complete.  I exported a file of 5K h264 in a different project and the computer, finder, quicktime etc has no questions immediately play it back.  What gives?

any ideas?  I thought that a machine of $5K don't experience any lag really.  No I don't want to throw money to solve the problem, but you know what I mean.

    Thank you!

    Michael

PS: I just checked one of my files to QuickTime.  Yes, here also a half second delay on the play button.  not powerful enough system for reading 4K flawless?  are my criteria for impeccable speed on computer too high?

Throw 4 k on a timeline dramatically ups the flow required for EVERYTHING on the computer. Understand, that for 'typical' UHD (1920 x 1080) as I work with, my pc is a 4-core i7 (8 "virtual"... Yes, whatever) 3.5 Ghz (2 cores overclocked as which proved faster in operation), 32 GB of RAM (RAM frequency has been changed too), GTX970 / 4 GB vRAM for graphics.

I have a decent drive in this machine... Setup but put most of the things PrPro on a WIDE, material faster striped RAID-0 would work as well or better.

    -: Twin 250GB SSD in RAID 0 for speed system, used for the OS & programs ONLY;

    -250GB SSD for the system cache and cache/database files also PrPro;

-Disk internal 500 GB at 10 000 rpm, previews; (kept fairly clean, less than a third full)

    -Disk internal 3 TB, project files;

-Internal drive 2 TB, media files; (maintained below 50%)

    -Internal drive 2 TB, exports.

This extends to the work of in/out/cache disk so it is not slow things down, and so the CPU can be better used. I do stuff test & family here, keep the media on a PNY 128 GB flash, read-only drive so the USB3 who is fast enough.

Other things, such as documents & upload files, storage general file, is on other players. This keeps all the foregoing, including the system drive, pretty skinny and good working condition.

The newest Samsung T1/T3 external SSD drives have been tested for incredibly fast work flow, much more than other readers USB3.

And of course, the internal drives m.2 must amazing flow.

It is a system of 'balanced', having enough of every bit of available material nothing stacks up this CPU.

Then... you can watch your disk configuration. You may need a higher throughput...

  • Timecode jamming in the Source monitor

I know how to clear a time code in the first frame of an element in the source monitor and in the project Panel: in the project Panel, right click - Edit-> timecode - > insert time code of choice.  But I want to do is go to a point 'IN' in the synchronization of the Source monitor and jam a time code in the 'IN' place.  Whenever I have insert an hour in the monitor Source Panel, that time becomes the time to the first frame of the clip, not the 'IN' time point.  Now, I noticed that in the project Panel (right-click, edit etc...) there's a setting that says 'Current image', but it can not be selected!  So is it possible to blur a moment in a point "IN"?  BTW, I found a way to do this using math and computation of the time between the beginning of the clip and the entry point, but it is labor intensive and prone to errors in subtraction.

Instead of selecting "Edit video" in the project Panel, with the source panel-based use of the menu of clip to select Edit/time Code, you should have access to the current framework option.

  • Shift + command + SPACEBAR launches the screenshot instead of reading the Source monitor

I try to use a hotkey (Shift + Ctrl + SPACEBAR) to review a clip in the source monitor, but it does appear a screen ScanSnap.  How to fix this?

I changed your title to be more searchable

CTRL/Cmd-Alt-K made a list of short films of keyboard, also found in the menu edit near the bottom. The short you list is listed in my list as playing to start... at least in the standard list for PC.

  • Audio waveform disappears from the Source monitor after opening another audio clip

I use Premiere Pro CC 2015 on an iMac (late 2014) of new 27-inch Retina 5 k with 8 GB of RAM.

I've got 5 takes of the same voice that I'm editing into a simple video "How-to" recorded at the screen. I'm pass between the clamps and picking at the take, that I prefer and move it into the timeline.

Problem is, once I open an audio file and then pass away from him to another audio file in the monitor Source Panel, the waveforms on this clip will not appear when I open it in the Source monitor. See waveforms is a unique case, unless I restart Premiere Pro. I can still hear everything and I still see the playhead moving across a green screen, but the waveforms are gone. It works fine the first time I open the clip.

I waited about 10-15 minutes to see if it's just to take a second to reload the waveforms, but none of the clips appear in their new waveforms unless I restart the first. I tried to open a video and then come back to an audio clip. I have actually managed to do come back simply by moving the source monitor Panel in its own window separate from the table of mixing, effects, etc. but it happened again the next time I went to another audio clip and no amount of monitor source is fluttering it don't come back.

Is there something that I am missing? I can still change course by listening to each piece of the voice-over begins, but without seeing it, it's a real pain.

I think that this has been fixed with the latest update. No more problems!

  • Reset the Source monitor timeline

When the claws come out my camera and are placed on the timeline, the time does not start to 00:00:00:00 but that ever time the camera placed on the clip.  Is there a way (or a workaround) to redefine the time in the Source monitor to 00:00:00:00?

PS. I know how to put my camera at the start of a shooting at 00:00:00:00, but it is impossible to switch several times to the 00:00:00:00 during a 20 minute session fast movement.

You can right-click a file in the project Panel and change the timecode to start at all times as you want.

  • can not see the wave forms when dragging clips in the source monitor

I'm editing interviews where images and the original sound has been grouped in merged clips or sequences. I love the source monitor editing in the timeline, so I drag the sequence in the monitor source from the location of the project. From there, I can see and hear the movie without problem. However, when I mark the starting points and insert the images into a new sequence (my own assembly), there is none of the waveforms. In the source monitor itself, if I change the Audio waveform display, there seems to be none of the waveforms here either. Its strange, because first of all, I can hear the audio, and secondly, if I open the original sequence in the timeline panel by double-clicking it, instead of in the source monitor, dragging in there, then I can see the audio waveforms very well... Sounds strange... that the program if not just showing the waveforms for sequences if they are in the source monitor?

Any ideas would be a massive help.

(this is CC, 2014, with the Canon 5 d footage and Wav audio files recorded separately)

    Thank you!

Thank you all for your advice.

I really discovered what seems to be the cause of the problem. In the sequence, there is a blank audio track for a reason any. When I delete the sequence and then drag this sequence in the source monitor, BEHOLD, I still see forms audio waveform. No idea why it shows one track empty when it IS... Weird.

  • When I stop playing, the source monitor goes black. It does not show a still image after pausing.

I just got a HP Prodesktop 400 G1 MT, Intel core I7 processor. In first 8 adobe, when I stop the video playback, the source monitor and program monitor won't give me a fixed image. As soon as the video is stopped, the screen is empty while normally, they would be in a freeze frame. the computer has an AMD radeon graphics card. I have two pc for dual monitors. I tried to play with the settings of reading to the premier, but no luck. I'm about to take the computer to be recovered. Any suggestions?

Hello! Thank you for responding. I'm currently doing an update for my AMD display driver, and it is up to date. I called tech support and they helped me in the question of fixing from the option menu file - rendered video - general - project settings and playback - selecting mercury playback engine software only option. My computer was set to the GPU acceleration engine. It works fine now. Thanks.Aldo

  • Why is different my sound in my time line of my Source monitor

The volume becomes less or not that does not exist for a certain number of frames in the 2 clips in my video. When I drag my video clip in the source monitor in my time line, the sound is very good in my source monitor.  However, the sound becomes much lower for a few frames or completlely grave when I drag above the timeline. This happens for only a few pictures in 2 clips. When I tried to correct it at the hearing, the audio clip plays well in hearing, but is still at a lower/non-existent volume in the timeline panel. Frequency distribution said it should play correctly, but it isn't. Anyone experience this situation and know how to fix?

Plug... Windows 7 64-bit. processor Intel core Quad CPU Q9400 2 .66GHz; 8 GB of ram; Graphics AMD Radeon HD 6800 Series card

Looks like you have some keyrfames set track volume.  Only the strange law of clip if you move it to another location?  Clips act weird if you transfer to this place?
