How to fix Vaio Care blocking when creating recovery discs?

I have a VPC3WFX which seems to work fine under the current Windows 7 overall. Running Viao care gives a certificate of good health for the disc and other parameters. I am able to write to DVD with the DVD burner. Problem is when I go to Vaio Care to create the recovery disks, it fails. Either 20% or 13% of the image is 'created' and then stops Vaio Care and the computer crashes actually. It seems that the problem has something to do with the disk channel of blocking 100% of traffic, even if the disk is still appropriate (according to the performance charts) Windows things. I also tried with an external Sony DVD recorder and got the same result. I tried the latest version (6.4...) of Vaio Care and an older version (6.2...), with exactly the same result. I want to restore the system to a State of cleanliness, but I hesitate to do since the recovery partition if I do not have a set of DVD backups. I saw the other references to this type of problem with Vaio Care, but I have yet to see the solution. I can live with my relatively "dirty" install Windows 7, I have now, but I really want to clean things up at one point.

Is there an alternative to get the recovery disks of bone faith for this system of you (Sony)? Or can you (Sony) correct what is suffering from Vaio Care on this system?

I tried Sony support, but they couldn't get it in 15 minutes. They spent more but only got to the point to have a Checkup on the computer and say that he uses a lot of "repairs", assuming that software configurations. And I could not pay the additional sum of $ for them to work on it. So I took the chance to do a restore from the hard drive. He looked like he was fine, but when it comes to restore the 'restoration of the Vaio tool', one who has locked the computer under Windows, locked up restoration and gave 505:43 error and terminates the process of restoration. Worst case (as expected). A system non-working with a non-working restore. Drag... not a nice result for my Sony product.

    Hello-I have a desktop K430 Lenovo with a 1 to HDD, Win8 64 b, 12 GB of memory. I'm trying to create a recovery disc using a flash drive HP with 32 GB. I bought a 2 GB Tech Universe that should do the job, but the Recovery Media Creator suggest 16 GB.

    I installed USB Flash Drive 32 GB HP which is identified as HPv125w (F): the computer and selected for how to manage the unknown data or take any Action. I formatted the Flash Drive ENF to match my file system. I also chose computer /Devices removable and open as portable devices in the hope that the flash player would be recognized by the Recovery Media Creator, but it didn't happen.

    I run the following command to create a Recovery flash drive:

    Control Panel/All Control Panel Items/Recovery/create a recovery disk/copy the recovery partition from the pc on the recovery drive (I checked this assertion). I clicked NEXT to continue the process.  I was instructed to connect a USB and the reader must be able to contain at least 16 GB. He also said that everything on the disk is deleted. Identity of the flash player (HPv125w (F) does not appear on the page of recovery media and THEN is grayed out. I need help with this problem.  After checking the Microsoft Community, I learned that I could use search from the start page or opening of office and enter recoverydrive.exe and make appear the Recovery Media Creator. I performed this task once again, but I got the same results, as shown above. Thanks in advance.

  • How can I continue creating recovery discs?

    Hello! I just bought a HP Pavilion dv6-3011so, and told me to create recovery discs as soon as I had installed the computer. I read in the manual that I stopped the creation and that the next time I opened the Recovery Manager he asked me to continue and to insert the following DVD and so on.

    As it was getting late, I decided to stop creating and continue the next day (today), and I opened up to Recovery Manager. He didn't ask me to keep anything. I Googled it and couldn't find any information, not even on the HP website. I don't know if I should choose "Creating recovery discs" once again, but I think it will only begin to calculate how much Swedish I will need? Or it will not start calculating where I was when I interrupted the creation yesterday (I had just finished disc 2 of 6)? I don't want to do anything until I know for sure I do the right thing, because I feel that this can never be done again.

    Please help me!

  • Satellite L655 - missing file when creating recovery media

    Hello

    I just bought two new Satellites a L655-1EM and a L655-17V (I think - pink and red). In any case I tried to burn some media of recovery - which I find a little cheapo, making do us it ourselves!

    During the process, he said there is a lack of file and hangs on. I tried this on the machines and the same result. I use discs double layer. Any ideas? Do Toshiba shell on a disc of recovery in such circumstances - I already DL three frisbees lol.
    I'm more than worried a little, as if something bad happens I have no confidence that I will be able to recover.

    Some tips/advice?

  • Possibility of creating recovery discs isn't available.

    I want to create recovery disks for my HP Pavillion 2260 - EA, Windows 7 64 bit, but the option is no longer available in my HP support Assistant. I selected the option once, but had to cancel because he wants more DVD discs I've owned. I then bought several discs. Now the option is no longer available for me to choose.

    In my view, we can only create recovery discs once. The PC noted, therefore, that I used this option, when in fact I've never really done. Can I do now?

    -Mike

    Hi, it is possible Action Center of this HPSA saw this task as completed and this is why it is not.  I recommend that you try to access the Recovery Manager through the start menu. If you select all programs from the start, you should see a list for safety and Protection, click on that and then click on Recovery Manager and finally, you should see a list for the creation of recovery media. Clicking on that brings you to the creation screen.

    If for some reason that there is no option, the only solution I know of "reset" of the option of creating media is to perform a recovery of HP sent a recovery media. Performing a restore partition recovery will not work.

    Hope this information helps. If you need help, please ask.

  • How to create recovery discs?

    I just went to the Geek Squad to fix a problem (fixed) and the guy suggested I have reinstall windows because my computer is slow. I just need to know how to create the recovery disks?

    Contact the manufacturer of your computer to make recovery disks.

    This isn't their recovery process, Microsoft.

    Each manufacturer has their own way to do it.

    E-mail/phone them, or look in a manual or on their Web site.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    How to get Vista recovery Media or the Vista recovery Partition on your computer back to factory settings.
    There is no Vista free download legal available.
    Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.
    Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    In addition, ask them if you have a recovery Partition on your computer/laptop to restore it to factory settings.

    See if a manual provided with the computer or go to the manufacturer's website, email or you can call for information on how to make a recovery.

    Normally, you have to press F10 or F11 at startup to start the recovery process...

    Another way I've seen on some models is press F8 and go to a list of startup options, and launch a recovery of standards of plant with it, by selecting the repair option.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Ask them if you can also make recovery disk/s for the recovery Partition in case of a system Crash or hard drive failure.
    They will tell you how to do this.
    Every computer manufacturer has their own way of making recovery disk/s.
  • Satellite P300-22 how many DVD should I prepaire 4 creating recovery DVDs
    I'm french too, so don't be afraid of my mistakes 'no more! '
    I have a Toshiba Satellite P 300, and I want to create a recovery DVD.
    How many DVDs to 4.7 GB / by, if I prepaire for this creation?
    Thank you
    in fact, I have a Toshiba P300-22F,
    There is a hard drive failure, because I changed the C: partition size
    I have to restore the player to factory default state using the recovery DVD,
    but I don't create this DVD.
    One of my friends has a model Toshiba P300 - 1 5.
    so I try to create this DVD form his computer...
    Hello
    At first I want to give you advice on DVD, you must use. For a successful recovery creation DVD use DVD-R virgins. I created several media recovery on the models of different laptops, with DVD-R media always worked.
    On the market there are several portable Satellite and Satellite Pro P300 and image is not the same for each of them.
    Just for info:
    -Satellite P300-1GL I needed a blank media only, but
    -for Satellite Pro P300-149 I needed two of them
    So I think that you need one. When you start 'Toshiba Recovery Disc Creator' and choose the media you want to use it, you will be informed how many of them do you need.
    Good bye
    You must create your recovery discs now. These discs are created from information held in the recovery on the hard drive Partition, so any OS update etc don't appear - they never reinstall the operating system in the State it was when the machine was purchased everything first.
  • Creating recovery discs - HP Pavilion 17 - I am a novice at this and really need support
    I downloaded information and directions to do this procedure on the HP site.  I have a few questions to clarify some of my concerns.
    1 using the dvd - recordable dvd is the same as you would use to burn videos or other?
    2. I learned later that this procedure should be done just after I bought the computer.  The only information I have on my PC are my emails.  I have not bought any software. Just got the things installed at the factory.  My question about this is in the article that says it will save all the software, but you can save the software to a system image using windows 8 to create a system image. I have instructions to do but ned opions on the question of whether I should just do to only my e-mail of files) or do it for the drivers, windows, programs, system settings files:.  It also shows the following which is very confusing to me that the HP recovery restores the image of the software in its original state.  Any software that is installed later is deleted when you perform a recovery of HP.  Does that mean if I do the first HP recoveering I lose my emails as well as bar favorites that I created to facilitate the connection to important websites without having to type in the address.  It was created for me and is installed with the screen of my provider verizon internet.
    3. I have an ALERT noting this update of windows 8 crashes 12% 13% 14% or 15%.  This alert has appeared on the results of product warranty HP detection/HP site and also another site that I don't remember.  What does that mean?  I don't know if I'm supposed to do something.
    Thank you very much for your quick response.  I have a few questions/comments to check that I understand your answers.
    1 DVD - I understand that I must use the best discs that will work in my DVD, such as Verbatim, Sony, etc.
    In addition to this is there any other preferences for the current DVD and for use on a 64-bit process that I have on my laptop, speed, other important characteristics? No, just get the DVD + R discs or good quality r. Sony usually works well for me.
    2. I unerstand that the actual creation of the recovery disc will affect in any way my software added and created documents such as e-mails and the bookmarks bar, etc., that it concerns only the factory installed components... Fix. Using disks to restore/reinstall on the laptop says back to out of box state. With this procedure, many people use a regular backup of the files to get back on the machine after a factory Recovery.An external USB hard drive is very nice for this, but backups can also be done on DVD.
    3. create a system image - am I right in assuming that this process does not duplicate topics in the created recover disks?  Also, when you add details such as software, the documents, etc. to your computer requires another creation of system images. She does double duty with elements of recovery such as Windows, drivers & software - but also an exact copy of the hard drive with your added files, newly installed programs, photos, etc. All of your personal files + recovery disc files are in an Image. In front of the effect of the restore with recovery disks - this process restores laptop with original Windows, software & drivers so that your files added. And Yes - additional Images would be required to maintain an up-to-date image.
    4 USB Flash drive - I have no idea what it is but I have instructions for the use of this procedure for creating recovery image on using flash player and it's faster than a DVD.  Is the ddrive USB flash something that I have to buy, it's expensive and my PC has the ability to use this process? Your laptop has Betacam do recovery on USB - but in reality this process gives owners more trouble than DVDs. Several times resulting in the purchase of several flash drives before finding one that works. My advice-stck with DVD.
