Installation went through, but thereafter the Creative Desktop application did not start and I wasn't able to install lightroom cc on my computer. Before that I have download creative cloud I entered my username/password username Adobe ID.

  I really want to give a chance to lightroom, but I can't even try it.

  I was able to get a little further. After logon as root the cc Desktop application starts successfully, and I was able to select Lightroom for installation
