  When in forms editing mode (Tools > prepare form), select: more > return to the Acrobat form

  In the future, check the box 'this document requires signatures' when you choose at the beginning: Tools > form prepare

  unless you plan to use the form with eSign Document Adobe cloud service.

  I created a PDF with Acrobat Pro 11 model. This model has an address of the employer with the address line 1, address line 2, city, State, zip code, country. The requirement is to show address line 1 and line 2 address in separate lines and address line 2 cannot be present always. If address line 2 is not present then the PDF should not show a blank line. How do I get there?

  These data are populated through xml by a publisher of BI. New line characters do not work.

  Hi sprphoto123,

  If you do not enter data in the text field 2 then you can set the form field property to is not mandatory, but if you want to disable the 2nd text field, you can add a check box in front of it to turn off the field. This can be achieved using JavaScript.

• How can I insert hyperlinks in text fields?

  Hello, I create documents pdf using Livecycle Designer for an organization, and recently I had a request for a document that includes expandable text fields.  The user also wants to put hyperlinks in these text fields.  I did the form and tried to put links in the text fields (using Adobe Acrobat Pro 9.5), but the form operation stops and I can't click on anything else (even if the cursor changes) or do something else that remove the information I entered and/or close the document.

  Does anyone know how to create a form in Livecycle Designer, which will allow the customer to insert hyperlinks in a text field that expands too?

  I have a text field with text ghost. Also, there is a button to add additional text fields. When a user clicks on the 'add an additional text field button' new text field appears but without the ghost of the original text field text.   Why 2 ways? LiveCycle has two ways to present it:

  (1) on the drop-down list for events (e.g. form: ready)

  Is there a better way to do it? My concern is that if I managed to shoot the event form: ready or ready: shape the event can reset all the text from the original text of default ghost of "Kansas City Royals. Thank you

  Put your event form script: ready in the initialize event.

• Code for mobile text fields?

  I am just trying to cram a few learning in and become familiar with the basics of HTML and CSS, but I hit a block stumlbing. Sorry if I sound a bit stupid here, I'm getting just not this thing whole css at all, I don't understand how it works.

  Anyway now that I'm just trying to create a basic website, nothing complicated and I want at this stage are a background, images I can drop and drag whenever I like and especially of the text fields I can do the same thing with. I managed to find how easily place images on the page using the code - next

  I watch the tutorials, in google search, and play with dreamweaver, but just can't seem to find any way to insert the same kind of... .layout object? where do I insert the text and then click on and drag, change the size of the text field and just place on the page somewhere, next to the image, below, where it is best according to me. I just want a piece of code that does this, it seems to me quite a basic function, and that's all I want at this point, just basic has to form the structure of my site, so I can get it square and then continue and further develop. I can't find anything anywhere that explains how to do this! So, I start to wonder if it is even possible and maybe completely misses me the point on web design.

  Can you please explain this or tell me a little bit of code that does the same as the code above to place images, I can insert text in and change size and drag and drop easily with the mouse?

  I spent the day ripping my hair out trying to figure this simple thing in order to climb and build my site. Until now, I've been with tables, but I don't think it's a very good way to address the issue.

• How to get back to 3 text fields in the footer

  When you open a new document pages, the footer contains three default text fields.  I have a document where I removed somehow 2 3 fields foot leaving only 1. I would like to add the other 2 fields in the footer, but I am unable to find a setting that would let me. My search terms are apparently useless because I can't find any thread on point in a search. Any ideas?

  You can not remove the tripartite fields in a header or a footer. If you visit the view menu: display invisible characters, you will probably discover tabs or spaces that forced each cell to the right in your footer. Just remove these external characteristics and you will restore the three cells to your footer.

• How do I automatically populate the text field box based on data generated automatically in the drop-down list?

  I created a drop down list which includes various regions.  When a region is selected it auto-renseigne another drop-down list with places.  I would like to automatically fill a text field with predetermined phone numbers when you have selected a location in the drop-down list of "places".  I want to integrate the phone numbers in the code, since the form will not access a database.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you, Ed.
