  Check the control panel | Power options and try to disable the screen saver and see if that fixes the problem.  If not, try to address some of the other power options to keep things to turn off automatically if the computer is not in use (if it's just to play music with no user interactivity, and which is considered to be not used by power options).

  One thing that can help is a bit what follows.  Do a right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar and select "playback devices".  Left click the device once to highlight default (it is usually 'speakers & headphones') and then click the properties button.  Click the enhancements tab and put a check mark in the box "Loudness equalization.  Click on apply to save the changes and then click OK in all other windows and see if allowed at all.

  AFAIK you can't do much. This laptop has standard stereo speakers and not high quality Harman/kardon as some other models, so if you want to have good and brilliant sound, you need external speakers.

  First of all, I must say that Flight Simulator X needs a lot of graphics performance and this game is really high system requirements. You need a powerful CPU, graphics card and enough RAM.

  Regarding your question an update of the map for example graph it s is not possible. It s fixed/soldered on the motherboard and there is no Exchange possible on desktop.
  So if you want a laptop that is faster for games, you can buy a new one, like the Qosmio X 500.

  You can only improve performance if you reduce the resolution of the screen or the details of the game.
  Make sure also that if the last page Toshiba display driver is installed.

  Well Paul, I made sure I have the latest drivers installed, just click the sound icon in the taskbar and opens "playback devices". More funny thing is, I went back to the Advanced tab in the properties, and the default format has been set at 24 bit, 48000 Hz... so better sound quality.

  I think I made this a thousand times over several months, uninstalling and reinstalling drivers with no joy. Maybe it has something to do with the order, in that I did... I don't know but I'm a happy camper. Thanks for your help and your patience.
