How to knock out a background with a foreground object object

I used the tool several times pathfinder successfully, but I am at a loss how to do the following...

I wish to have the profile of the mountains be in the foreground and the flag in the background be eliminated where there is the profile of the mountain (which is seen the flag is therefore only what is behind the mountains). I think the challenge for this picture, and what could be my problem, is that the profile is not a closed object. I was expecting not to close - I don't want a visible line at the base, also want to keep the profile without filling to keep transparent to allow the image to print from the still unknown on t-shirt color. Finally, it will be lettering in the mountain profile and some of its lines will have to be in front of lettering which I think that will prevent a fill.

I hope that all makes sense? Thanks in advance for any help.

If you hide this you'll need to seal the end points of the mountains, but they will have to reach around the flag, so select left endpoint with the pen tool, and then follow the outside bottom left goes right down flag completing the path at the top left and then across the top and towards the low early and do as Mohammad suggests.

As so following the arrows.

  • How to avoid the transparent background, white in smart object (psb) conversion when the image track high fidelity that we have the ability to ignore track of white up to 16 colors.

I have an image psd file in photoshop cc 2014 the layer background transparent. I wanted to convert to vector. The best option I've seen was converted first to a smart object in photoshop by layer-> Smart objects-> convert to smart object. then he exported a CPS. Then I opened the file in illustrator and applied image tracking tool, but the background transparent got converted to white but I had the option to skip white up to 16 trace of color. But in the case of Conversion of high fidelity, the option do not know white is not available, what do I do now?

After using the Trace of the Image and expand the result, just find a part that is filled with white and use Select > same > fill and just delete.

  • Clipping path in PS is not knocking out areas within the railways

Sorry if the title of the thread is rather oblique, but I'm having a bit of bad articulate what my question is.

I create one a clipping path on a photo to place in ID - I'm knocking out the background and there are areas in the path of the perimeter which must also be knocked out (imagine a path around the outside of the letter 'o' and a path inside the letter to make it open). I did it on other pictures on this project, but for some reason, I can't get it to work on it.

What I am doing wrong? TIA

Welcome to the power bug Photoshop since PS 6.0. Here is a quick solution short of recreate the path from scratch:

Take your direct selection tool (white arrow).

1] click on the path in the path so that you can see around the object that just overlap the pixels.

[2] make sure that you have not selected anything in terms of points. keep option and click on the inner path (the area you want to knock out). OK, you should have this area of the selected path.

[3] with the path selected, click on the pen tool. Look you tool bar with the path parameter - this part of your path necessary to the last one wing OR the "exclude overlapping path area" setting.

many times it occurs randomly just as I saw and on years. Sometimes, by selecting the entire path with the domestic railways and adjusting it to the far right also help. Sometimes you have only to choose the area that has knocked out.

Select the singer. The quick selection tool should do a good job; and then press Ctrl + J to put it on a new layer. Delete the background layer and save it as a PNG to get a transparent background

If the selection is not own edges use tool eraser to clean. It's simple, but you said you were new.

When you run msconfig to get set to Safe Mode, you just activate/check the option/SafeBoot at startup. INI tab or did you do something else?

There is some malware that if you use the/SafeBoot option, you will not be able to use your system again until you remove the switch/SafeBoot the boot.ini for you can boot normally.

Maybe it's not your exact problem, but I will never suggest to anyone to use the option / SafeBoot never again - too risky when troubleshooting since you can always start new or will never connect again until you remove the switch/SafeBoot.

Anywho, if that's what you have done, you can start in the XP Recovery Console and then either make a new boot.ini file containing the switch/SafeBoot or simply rename the boot.ini file, you have something like boot.ini.old if you don't have a boot.ini file (I know it seems like a weird idea).

In a single partition configuration, XP is not even a file boot.ini to boot.  XP will complain if there is no boot.ini file, but will always start very well without one (non-believers - try it!).

After you get booted up and logged in, you can rename boot.ini.old in boot.ini and run msconfig to remove the option/SafeBoot, and never use it again.

When the alpha element group influence all elements, but the text remains 100%
I try with the Group of elements and no group, but include elements in the 'State' of the widget library button. Nothing!

Explain dough my problem and please excuse my English...
I need to have a transparent background with text (name and job) at the start. When I rollon with the cursor of the mouse on the button background should take a color with 60% alpha, required text full color stay, but if I group or insert State of the item on Rollo button mouse everything take alpha 60%

I need to regroup or insert in elements went State button because if they are ungruoped to mouse Rollo on bottom its all is ok, but when the mouse passes over the background of text out you of you initial state.

    Can someone help me please?

I think I know your problem - are you using the opacity of the 'effects' rather than opacity to "fill" - one of the effects will affect the entire element rather than just the rectangle.

    Use this opacity

    not this one
