  First... just a suggestion... using a slow burn speed
  produces a more reliable copy.

  Alternatively, you can ask around you, your friends and acquaintances for their copy of XP and see if all will accept your product key. Once you find one that will take your key, you should be good.  If they are concerned about piracy, report you request only a copy of the CD and tell them specifically not product key.
