How to make a snapshot in vista basic

Hello

I am trying to edit a document word to JPEG and think I can do it by taking a snapshot? However, I have Vista and can't find the snapshot tool. Help please?

Have you tried to use your PrintScreen key?

This will place the screenshot in the Clipboard of Windows...
Open Windows Paint, then go to... Editing / paste... and then
Save the file in JPG format.

  • How to make a Windows 7 Home Basic PC to recognize a printer HP DeskJet 690C

    Hello

A few years ago, I bought a Hewlett Packard DeskJet 690C printer and a Hewlett Packard ScanJet 3200C scanner. After awhile, I renewed my PC and its ports were all USB. If I could use is no longer my HP printer and scanner. Today finally I found a parallel cable on one end and the other USB. I also still have the original installation HP disc. But I could not do my PC find or install the program. The original HP program does not load. I'm using Windows 7 Home Basic, 32-bit. I went to the page help from HP and learned that HP always supports DeskJet 690C for Windows 7, but there is no link for the program. I wanted to use the HP recommended program to make my PC find the printer but the program could not find it. After trying for more than five hours, finally my PC shows the printer icon in printers and devices, but when I want to print a page, nothing

is happening. I would like to know whether a parallel/USB cable works for this kind of problem and if so, what kind of cable. I would also like to know what driver I have to use and where to find it.

Of all the research that I did, my experience and to work with clients - cable USB to parallel for printing isn't a very effective method for the use of your printer. It works in theory, but in practice you transfer data from one type to a machine that includes an any other type of information. When these data are transformed, most of the time printing won't work either, or it will show errors. What you can do, but I don't think it will work, is the attempt with the help of a rough rider - following these steps:

    http://h30434.www3.HP.com/T5/printer-all-in-one-software-drivers-e-g-Windows-8/How-to-assign-alternate-print-drivers-in-different-versions/TD-p/1957011

Honestly, I would recommend a more recent material that is better able to understand and communicate with your PC. These machines now come with a variety of features, reduce the costs of printing, as well as from a variety of connection options.

I would like to know if this information is useful or if there is anything I can do for you!

    Have a great day!

  • How can I active my Windows Vista Basic?

I bought my laptop (HP Compaq 6715 b), I used Vista a few months, and then I had to format and install Windows XP.
I didn't like Windows XP, so I did the format once again and I put Windows Vista based on once again, but I can't use the key, what is under my laptop.
He says its not valid, but it must be. I have not used this key on any computer.
So, I heard that I have to call somewhere on Microsoft and tell them things and they automatically activate it?
Please help me I'm tired of waiting every 14 seconds when I restart my laptop.

    Hello Peedu,

To solve your problem, you need to activate Windows using the "Activate by phone". Please follow the option below that this difficulty better your scenario given issue:

    Method 1:

  • Here's how to make a clock from Vista to Tripoli; and what happens if Tripoli had a unique rule for daylight saving time?

Windows is a time zone for any city in Libya. I wanted a clock in Vista for Tripoli. The Libya isn't, daylight savings time, so I had to find a listed city which is GMT + 2, and also did not have the time. There is a pair, Harare (Zimbabwe) and Pretoria (South Africa). So I chose them for my clock.

Now, if it happened that the Libya had a rule time advanced single - to say on April 15 and ending on September 9. No other GMT + 2 city would have this rule. So, what should I do? The only solution I could think of is to manually set the Tripoli to a non-heure GMT + 2 city when Tripoli was the light time of the day and for a non-heure GMT + 3 City when Tripoli was to DST. But is there a way to avoid these manual adjustments? Or would MS knows about the problem of Tripoli and added to the list?
    Thank you
BTW, what is the appropriate category for this question?

    Hello Dick Moores,.

There is no way to change the way it works on Vista. However, there are several third-party software that you can watch that will help you accomplish this. You can use your favorite search engine and look for the application that could help you do that.

    DISCLAIMER OF THIRD PARTY SOFTWARE:

Using third-party software, including hardware drivers can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the use of third-party software can be solved. Software using third party is at your own risk.

  • How to make a recovery CD for Windows Vista Home Basic?

A friend recently gave me a laptop Acer 5315 to play with (I like to play with the old pc...). It came with Win/Vista Basic Home Edition. I got to level with SP2 and 2, kicking the 2gig memory (this is the limit) and now I want to create a backup/recovery disk. It has a CD inside player, but is limited to CD (not DVD). I've been looking around, but apparently creating a Vista recovery disc without the original install disks is not easy. It's true.

    Anyone have any ideas?

    Hello

Strange that it is limited to the CDs, Vista came on a DVD, unless you have specifically ordered CD from Microsoft if you had a license to retail not OEM...

    Hello

You can't do a recovery Partition.

A recovery partition is copied onto your hard drive from the computer manufacturer at their factory.

There are several methods to reinstall Vista.

There is no Windows Vista downloads available from Microsoft.

You can contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send you a set of recovery disks.

They should do this for a small fee.

To reinstall Vista using their recovery disk/s, you start from the 1st recovery disk they provide and follow the manufacturer's instructions to reinstall:

You need to change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order:

How to change the Boot order in BIOS:

"How to replace Microsoft software or hardware, order service packs and replace product manuals.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/326246

And if you have never received a recovery disk when you bought your computer, there should be a recovery Partition on the hard drive to reinstall Vista on how you purchased your computer.

The recovery process can be started by pressing a particular combination of the key or keys at startup. (Power on / start)

    Maybe it's F10, F11, Alt + F10, etc., depending on the manufacturer.

Ask them to the proper key sequence.

And if you do not score a manufacturer of recovery on your hard drive, you should be able to make your own recovery from her disks to reinstall the operating system.

Go to programs > name of the manufacturer of your computer > then their system or recovery tools software topics for them, depending on how it is formulated.

If you can't find any reference to it, contact the manufacturer for advice on how to make these recovery disks.

Some manufacturers have more available Vista recovery disks.

If this happens, you may need to try this instead:

You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.

Other manufacturers recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.

And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as 32-bit and 64-bit editions come on different DVDs

  • In windows Vista Basic how can I remove and resize the pagefile

Well I don't have this problem with any other os but vista Basic, well, when I try to delete the pagefile through advanced system settings and restart for some strange reason, the pagefile is still. I tried to move the swap file on a flash drive and that he did not either. How can I delete the swap file in vista basic? I'm trying to resize and make it bigger, but I don't want 2 small page-files only a principal to save the hard drive the work of reading back between the 2 of them.

You cannot delete the pagefile because Vista cannot function without it - and it is not necessary to do what you want to do.  Yet, the size can be changed without requiring a multiple page files.  Here is the procedure:http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/understanding-windows-vista-paging-file-size/.  NOTE: To get there go to start / Control Panel / System / advanced system settings / performance / settings / advanced / Virtual memory (instead of the way they tell you in the article). Then uncheck the box to let Windows manage and hoped that would be the input parameters (but I recommend you let Windows manage it - increasing, it's not really help this as much as you are strongly constrained by the amount of RAM)- but the decision is yours.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • How to make Vista partition on the HARD drive as first with recovery CD

    Hello

I want to format and retrieve information from my 'Vista' (C: / /) partition, which is the first. But when I choose the option "Format and recover to a first partition on your hard disk (without RE) ' the computer began to recover in" Type of Partition: windows NT NTFS (ID: 07) "whose size is only 1.50 GB.

In the middle of the process, it shows not 'enough space on a disk.

Question: How to make a 'vista' first partition? What is 'the first partition' in the second formatting option and recover the system?
    Thank you for your answers

    Hello

Sorry, but you will not be able to do. I know it's a bad situation but if you use the first option that the whole HARD disk will be formatted and C new partition created. Second option, that you can not use at all. I tested it with my Satellite A100.

I called Toshiba and they said that Toshiba work on new recovery options and new notebooks will have the best recovery option. Something like old installation expert ghost mode.

I know it's wrong, but unfortunately there is nothing to do.

    Hello

I think that it s a good idea to make a backup on your laptop.

You have created the Toshiba recovery disks? When you bought a Toshiba laptop, you must create these disks. If you have a virus or something else with these discs, you can get the factory settings on your laptop.

You can create discs with the Toshiba recovery disc creator and if you didn t again, you get the following message:
