How to mask Gaussian blur

I need to limit the area affected by a Gaussian blur with the help of a layer mask, but it does not work. The blur extends over the edge of the mask and uses pixels in the black area of the mask. Is there a work around for this problem? Thank you.

Press Ctrl/Cmd and click on the mask. A selection will be active, use now blur...

  • Problem with mask effect Gaussian blur

Greetings! I've seen discussions where people had various problems with the following mask in Premiere Pro CC, but I had not seen this issue discussed, so I hope it's just a user error.

I have a video where I need to blur the faces of several people in it.

    1. I applied Gaussian blur effect to the clip and used the tool free draw draw around A person's head.
    2. I have enabled the button animation next to the mask path label and then played the clip for some time.
    3. Then when his head would move out of the effect mask that I created, I would pause, add a keyframe and click and drag in the middle of the blue mask, that I had done in the program monitor, dragging on his head.

Everything was fine. I did this several times.

Then finally I suspended and made a keyframe, and suddenly the blue lines for the mask disappeared! You could still see the effect, but I could capture the effect is more and adjust it.

Anyone has an idea why the blue lines for the mask suddenly stop appearing in the program monitor? This has happened several times, and I can't understand what the problem is. Thank you!

Furthermore, I had already tried the mask tracking tool and he was not coherent enough, that's why I'm doing it manually.

Select the mask in the Panel for the outline to show effect Options.

Just understand that if you use the summary with no sharping & clarity that it will work.

  • How to call using JavaScript Gaussian blur filter dialog window? applyGaussianBlur() method does not call it.

I used Copy the following code , but it does not cause the dialog box filter Gaussian Blur:

    var source_layer = doc.artLayers[0]
    source_layer.applyGaussianBlur (30)

    Explain to me, please!

You must activate the dialog boxes, then turn off right afterwards

    app.displayDialogs = DialogModes.ALL;
    doc.activeLayer.applyGaussianBlur(30);
    app.displayDialogs = DialogModes.NO;

  • The most effective method to add Gaussian blur to the background of the Interview with two people

I have MXF clips of an interview with two people with a décor of forest behind the two subjects. I want to add a Gaussian blur on the bottom between the two people who are sitting and separated by about 6 inches. I'd be able to do this now in 2014 PR, except track masks do not work as there seems to be a bug. I've never used AE and Mocha looks like a tracking method possible. The manual speaks using a compressed JPG of sequence, then use your original film when you apply the data. This sounds like the way to go, but I do not know how to apply the data originally from the film. I know how to apply a blur and a simple mask followed in AE, but it does not follow the outline of the person and blurs the second person. If followed PR mask worked, I duplicate the layer and add a mask of garbage that would cut off the other person in each of the two layers.

I intend to learn AE, but has a deadline this week to get this infomercial delivered to the customer. Thus, detailed instructions would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you, Rob

According to your film, the Roto Brush tool can be a good choice to separate people from the background.

  • Sort of feather Gaussian blur clip

    Hello

I wanted to scramble a band as part of a clip, so I copied the clip and dragged above and cropped a Gaussian blur to adapt. I just wish I could soften the harvest so the contrast is not quite as austere where they meet.

    Any ideas?

CCurrent version? Do not duplicate the cip use mask form integrated to the effect.

  • Problem with Gaussian blur filter

For some reason any when I try to use the Gaussian blur filter the cursor changes to this (a sort of box empty):

    Picture1.png

And there is no filter window to control the amount of blur. The only thing I can do is press "Enter" to accept the default Gaussian blur. Anyone know how to fix this? How can I do to return the missing window?

    Hi idangoor,

What version of Photoshop are you using?

Access the tool of filter > blur > Gaussian blur.

Try increasing your screen resolution and if you use two monitors, try to go from Photoshop to the other monitor.

    Kind regards

  • Gaussian blur Keyframing

    Hey all,.

I'm trying to blur a video clip using the Gaussian blur effect and keyframes.  I want to so I placed four keyframes on each side of the section blurred the blur that part of the clip.  KF2, KF1 = 0 = 50, KF3 = 50 and KF4 = 0.  For some reason any my whole clip shows that blurred in the program monitor so that it is all of the time.  Looks like I'm doing something wrong...

    Thanks in advance.

It remains unclear when the EMT equipment is turned off?

    Or

    duplicate clip

    Add an opacity mask

    Add blur

  • How do you apply Blur to only one of the two duplicate layers?

    Hello everyone

I have two layers of dynamic object to a panoramic photo, which is a duplicate of the other and returned vertically.

I would like to apply Blur to the inverted layer, so this step appears as a reflection of the other layer.

However, when I apply the blur to the image reversed in its .psb document window, the blur effect ends on the two layers.

Why the blur apply to two separate smart objects and how could possibly apply Blur to only one of the two double layers?

    Please advise me.

    Thanks as always,

    EAD

Even if you see two separate layers, Photoshop is not to see them in the same way. When you using duplicated layer (Ctrl/Cmd + J) command, which tells Photoshop to create clones SO double layer sets SO. Update content on one of the 2 cloned layers will take into account changes to another. As you modify the content of a layer of cloned SO that change is automatically reflected in the other. As noted above, the solution is mentioned to apply the blur as a dynamic filter without changing the content (do not double click on layer SO): with SO layer selected in the layers panel, go to filter > blur > Gaussian blur.

To cite only in case you need this option: you can duplicate the layer SO without cloning to help: command of new dynamic through copy object . In this case you can apply changes to the .psb file you make and modifications will not reflect to another (parent) layer of SO. In this case, disadvantage is that you can't quickly Exchange content on the two SO layers when creating clones SO you can overlay.

  • Gaussian Blur is missing in the function of the effect in artificial intelligence from adobe cc 2015?

    Dear all,

I need your help if someone knows this.

I can see is more Gaussian blur in the function of the effect, and I am unable to use it now.

I was see a few error messages when I open the app to CC, please kindly advise how to retrieve and why this has happened...

my system is Windows 7, the reason for this?

Thank you very much for your advice.

Try restarting HAVE while pressing the command (Ctrl) - Opt (Alt) - SHIFT keys. This will reset the preferences. If this does not work, it's time for a reinstallation. First uninstall, run the cleanup tool (use the Adobe Creative Cloud cleaning tool to solve installation problems), and then reinstall.

  • Lack of tools for Fast-Blur, Gaussian blur effect...

    Hey there,

I use first Pro CC and I was about to hide an object in my video with the effect of blur-Fast (Schneller Weichzeichner in German and can be seen in the attached picture).

But when I apply this effect to my video it shows me any tool with which I could apply. It's the same with any blur effect, such as the Gaussian blur.

These tools should be just above the adjuster from 0 to 127. Any idea?

    Thank you

If you want to use the mask tool you need to update to CC2014 (8.2). Looks like you're atill on CC7.

  • What is the difference between the field blur and Gaussian blur?

What is the difference between the field blur and Gaussian blur?

The basic differences are that blur the line field the way a camera lens would be "fuzzy" your image (in fact, it puts a grey area), and the blur of the field has the tools to help to accentuate how the lens captures the reflective light. Gaussian Blur is more than a fuzzy set, or softening of all pixels.

The following example illustrates the blur field making specular white areas and Gaussian blur, making all the pixels that are just as soft.

I highly recommend to take a look at these links as well:

    (1) an overview of the new CS6 blur tools. VIDEO: Blur of the field is around 05:30 mark.

  • in a photo on gradient background Gaussian blur

Hello. Using PS CS4 on XP.

I'll be back just a job with the company of printer & I notice some lines that do not appear on my impression here (on the printer color xerox machine) to compare. I didn't really catch on the evidence either, but they used a proof of epson and we printed on 100 # a text for the final.

What I have going is a background gradient (using the shape layer and gradient layer style effect), white to a light tan. Up and down on a regular letter size sheet. In the upper right corner, I have a picture of a face that had light Tan even in the background. I fell this image in the background gradient using Gaussian blur. It is not very sensitive in the file, but I can tell it's there... you really focus your eyes to see, but there is a line that goes around the image where the Gaussian Blur is. I will attach a picture of the edge. I guess what I'm saying is not smooth - the edges of the image being blurred in the gradient background, but printed on a regular printer, it seems smooth. Is that what I can do to avoid this problem in the future?

Thanks for any advice. I am considering Gaussian blurs no more...

    Untitled-1.jpg

The TIFF makes all the difference - the problem became clear: the mask is not pure black right at the edge of the image of the man.

A slight curves on the mask operation covers the edge.  Note that I moved the black point slightly.

  • Effects of HAVE it: pen against the Gaussian blur? who is raster or vector?

I'm looking at feathers against the blur. in illustrator, effect of the menu drop down.

what I have, I understand the Gaussian Blur/Blur in photoshop effects (in illustrator) will Pixelize the gradation from the edge, but the effect Illustrator 'feather, will keep this vector, is this correct?

sample here they both look the same to me, and I noticed that the feather effect was Gaussian blur to the edge still to produce its result.

from what I see I should be able to make one of these more bigger than a billboard and they would all be two smooth yet degraded being? or Blur Gaussian would cause pixelation unless I got the vector object correctly dimensioned in the document in the first place to fit the display panel.

what I'm trying to ask is how they work,

my view is it HAVE "feathers" will allow resizing of the form of the vector object to any size and not be pixelated in print.

where under the PS Gaussian blur effect, you must make sure that your object is correctly dimensioned on the correct paper size to make sure it prints smoothly.

    any comment is good...

    AI_feather_versus_blur.png

Feather starts at the edge of the object and goes inland.

GBlur starts at the edge of the object and goes towards the inside and the outside.

Pen will not increase the size (preview) of the original object.

G - Blur will increase the size of the object (preview) of 50% of the value of the GBlur.

  • GTX 570 more etc Okay Gaussian blur?

I'm about to upgrade my GTX 470 or GTX 285 GTX 570.

I know I have to apply the 'hack' to make this work correctly. Before I pull the trigger, I want to assure you that I will meet unexpected problems. I do most of the time the AVCHD files and uses a lot of mask and Gaussian blur.

I can't remember where I was, but there is something that there is a problem with the that of pilots NDVIDA-Gaussian blur.

If anyone here can share their experiences running a GTX 570 or 470 with CS5, that would be great.

Note: there is a 570 enough EVGA on Amazon's ' cheap', $ 349. Seems to be legitimate and have the features than expected, but I wonder why it is so much more 'cheaper' than 570 s comparable from other manufacturers. Thoughts?

    Thank you!

There are some questions - actually, more like side effects - with my MPE material used linear color transform. These side effects are manifested in a number of different ways, but one of the more revealing are the rough/chunky edges created by blurs, shadows or glows on clips with alpha channels. It is not a problem when the blur of ordinary video media.

In addition, it is not the result of a particular part of GPU or driver, but rather material MPE/CUDA himself. It is also not dictated by an "official" card or "hacked" - it affects all GPU at all levels. So you probably wouldn't see any change from a GTX285 to a GTX570; If you don't see it on the former, you won't see on the latter. But as bad says, there is little motivation at this point to go from 285 to the 570.
