How to measure blood pressure using pxi

Hello

We are doing a project on the speed control of the brushless dc magnet motor permanent using labview.

in this regard, must acquire about 20 volts AC, we have a card pxi and scxi and bnc. is - this hardwares are sufficient for this project? Please give suggestions.

Thank you

Would you please provide the model number of the pxi and scxi boards? There are different types, and they have different abilities.

You could also do the search yourself types and read the specifications. Just enter the model number in the search at the top of the page box.

This only works with CS5 because it now uses the tool instead of a path rule. But it solves all the problems talked about in this thread and many other differences between the original function and the data in the info panel.

It returns a custom with angle and length properties object if there is a rule tool line in the active document and not of the indefinite. I didn't know if the length must be a unitValue or number in the units of the rule settings. I went with number because the Panel info has different number of decimal places for the different units. And as the Panel assigned the corresponding graduation info per cent the length value is empty

Cardiac measurement is more important at the time of registration or

  • How to measure high voltage (60-70 v) and current (75-80 a) using a DAQ PCI or USB DAQ

    Hello

I work with a system that works on about 5kW. The output of the system voltage can go maximum up to 60-70 v and thus the corresponding current around 75-80 a. I have 10 these systems that I want to read one by one continuously for long periods.

I am designing the automated system best suited for this and looking for the best material that would be appropriate for this purpose. Looking for options, I found that an SCC - A10 attenuator may be used to get the tension down by a factor of 10. But I'm confused, if the high current will pose a problem and also how to measure this high current.

I need to measure the voltage and current at the same time. Please suggest what would be the most appropriate fitting for the same (preferably PCI or USB)

  • using scxi 1303 and 1100 to measures of pressure

    Hello

I use the scxi 1303 and 1100 to measure the voltage inputs. Specifically, I have 8 voltage at 0 - 10 v and 9 measures of pressure to 4-20mA, converted to signals 1 - 5V with a 250 Ohm resistor.

My arrises now question about pull upward resistance. I don't have resistance inserted (as the manual leads me to believe that they are not necessary). My arrises now problem of a difference in the voltage across the resistance (the same as the display of pressure transmitter) and the voltage displayed by Labview.

    For example:

    Voltage = 1.47 V

    LabVIEW display = 1.18 V

1303/1100 Setup requires it resistance of 10 ohms, or don't you think that something is happening?

Thank you and please forgive me if this question has been addressed!

Good news... After much stable, time and tears I have solved the problem. I have indeed had a hardware issure. The module SCXI-1100 I used was broken somehow and was replaced by a functional SCXI-1102.

Thank you for helping me think about troubleshooting ideas!

  • Blood pressure data acquisition

    Hello
I have some problems with the measurement of blood pressure.
I have the sensor of pressure connected to the SensorDAQ interface. I can see SensorDAQ installed in NI MAX, but I don't really know how to get the data from the sensor to LabView using the DAQ assistant. (there is no option for the measurement of blood pressure and other measures gain data types does not work)

  • DAQ USB-6008 will be able to power and record voltage for UMS T5 blood pressure at the same time?

I would use my NI USB-6008 to power my blood pressure monitor UMS T5 (http://www.ums-muc.de/en/products/tensiometer/t5.html) but also to take readings of it, but I don't know if it's possible to do it properly. The power supply for the instrument can be as low as 5V, I can easily get the dedicated + 5V channel. I'm able to feed the instrument and connect it to an analog input on the 6008 and measure a voltage in differential mode. However, when you read the documentation of support for the instrument, I find the following:

"Potential pitfalls of data acquisition: the pressure transducer is configured in a full Wheatstone bridge, the input voltage and mV signal output can be connected to the same reference (mass)." Therefore, the mV output signal can be measured using a differential voltage measurement. Therefore, do not make an asymmetric measure of pressure transducer mV output. "(http://www.decagon.com/assets/Uploads/MeasuringUMSTensiometerswithnon-UMSControlandDataAcquisitionSystems.pdf)

My understanding is that the 6008 can take a differential measure if I attach the signal '+' and the signal "-" to the analog inputs of positive and negative terminals. However, it seems that all the ports of ground on the 6008 are grounded to the same reference, which would make my measure of invalid tension according to the above paragraph. So my real question is: if I try to record the voltage with one of the analog inputs on the 6008 in this way, is the valid measurement? Or I need to find a separate power supply, with a different reference field to ensure that the measure is accurate?

The technical details of this device is very poor. The manual is not much better. Companies that want to sell scientific equipment should publish decent cards or get out of business.

In section 3.4.3 General requirements the device is described as a "bridge not amplified circuit.  This information along with the impedance of the bridge should be in the specifications, because it is essential to apply the device under any circumstances other than the nominal behavior in 10.6 V.

The answer to your question is:

You can use it with the box USB-6008.  The 5 V supply will result in output voltages a little less than half (5/10.6) the voltage specified in nominal conditions. You can use the differential input mode on the box USB-6008.  The absolute input voltages will be approximately 2.5 V with the 5 V power supply. This voltage is in the range of the aircraft. The differences are likely to be less than 100 mV. The resolution of the USB-6008 on the + /-1 V is located about 0.5 mV so your resolution of pressure will be about 1% of full scale. The voltage input impedance and termination of the USB-6008 will present a few errors.  These can be in the order of 5 to 10%. I can't predict much better without the missing bridge impedance specification.  These errors should be relatively constant and systematic. A calibration of the whole system - sensor and together hardware DAQ should allow you to compensate for a large part of this error.

  • Measurement of temperature using Iex thermistor with PCI-6259

    Hi all

I have I encounter some difficulties to measure the temperature using MAX with the installation of the thermistor Iex and would like to know if I missed something important. I use external current thermistor excited with 2 ladders and card PCI-6259 with MAX.

This is a channel that was originally set to measure voltage and MAX approx. 900mV since this channel, OK, the voltage converted temperature is about 30 ° C. Then I added a new channel and configured to measure the temperature directly with default installation MAX Iex thermistor. This is so the problem appears: I'll get a constant-273 C instead of 30 C as expected by operating the canal in MAX. I must have done something wrong here.

    Your help is greatly appreciated!

    Bryan

We discovered that the problem came from our wiring to thermistor does NOT of installation. If Differencial has been used, the conversion of MAX worked well. If this is not the case, only directly blood pressure will work.  Bryan

  • Satellite 1800-814: how to measure the temperature of the processor?

Dominic displays only HDD temp and MBM profile for 1800-224 display cases and the cpu. But if I can use this profile? Any other ideas how to meausre CPU temp?

  • Is there a simple model of blood pressure for 3.2.2 numbers

I need a model simple blood pressure for 3.2.2 numbers or earlier. Because I don't have a working knowledge of numbers 3.2.2 I hope someone can help me here. I need an auto update of date and time, systolic and diastolic pressures, and a Notes column wider. Thanks for your help since an old geezer.

There is no integrated model, however you describe what you can do by following the following instructions:

    (1) open a new document using the menu item "file > new...» »

    (2) choose the 'Basic' category on the left, then "Blank" of the selections available:

    (2) to facilitate the entry of the date and time, I suggest the creation of a single cell table, and then enter the formula = now().  To do this, follow these steps:

Click and hold on the A2 from the table cell (until you see the 'lift' on the table cell.

Drag the cell above your table on the screen.

You should see a new table like this:

Double-click the text "Table 2", then update the text therefore reads "TimeStamp" (it's just a name is not really important).  Select cell A1 in table 'TimeStamp', then type

    = Now()

    shortcut for this is

    A1 = Now)

Now in the original table, name the columns as the "Date", "Systolic", "Diastolic" and "Notes"... like this:

now make the column notes wide by selecting the column for Notes (column D).  To do this click on the "D" at the top of the column.

Now open formatter table by clicking on the 'Format' button at the top right, and then by selecting the segment 'Table':

adjust the value for the width of the "column" down as necessary

to enter the date in a row, click the cell in the table "TimeStamp" and select the menu item "Edition > copy" (or use the + c key combination)

now select the cell where you want the date and time, and then select the menu item "Edition > paste formula results.

    now enter the reading notes

  • Measure the distance using color sensor 2.0

    Hi all!

I would like to know if there is a way to measure the distance of an object using the color sensor that comes with the Mindstorms 2.0. I am gaining a few conferences of the sensor, but I don't know how to convert these values to distance.

Any reference or a link would be appreciated!

    Thank you!

    Hi fran_jo,

Here is an article which offers a good method to calculate the exact values of scaling to convert measures of intensity at a distance: http://www.hitechnic.com/blog/eopd-sensor/eopd-how-to-measure-distance/.  Do not forget that this relates to a third party of sensor, but the concepts should always be applied.

Also note that the color sensor is affected by ambient light.  You can try to use a 2nd sensor to take account of all the ambient light.  What you trying to accomplish with this application?  Is there a reason that you are not using the ultrasonic sensor?

  • How to wire a pressure transducer loop 2 wires for the NI 9949 RJ - 50

I am new to the NC and data record.

I want to connect a 4/20mA, pressure sensor loop 2 son of a Terminal screw OR 9949 RJ - 50... that will then connect to an entrance NI 9237 module.

The NI 9237 module is installed in a chassis OR compact 9174 DAQ.

I shall be measure the pressures of air brakes truck to compressed air system of zero kPa (gauge pressure) up to allowance of 1000 kPa (gauge pressure).

The 2 wires on the transducer are identified as: food + and + signal

I would appreciate it please advice on the appropriate terminals on the NI 9949 RJ - 50

Unfortunately, it seems that you have the wrong module for this task.  The 9237 is used to measure the production of bridge-based sensors (for example, a strain gauge).  Signals that it is supposed to measure are fundamentally different from the 4-20mA signal pressure transducer outings.

Take a look at the NI 9203, 9207 or 9208.  All have at least a few channels designed to take a current 4-20mA input.  Then, give the team nor a (877-387-0015) call to talk through your application and make sure that you select the right equipment for what you want to do.
