E230 series, re-furb, guard turn

Hey guys! New to the Forum!
I had my series e230 for probably a decade. I had all kinds of insects of the screen white death for ghost files and been able to fix them all until what it struck again.
Everything started when I listened to the music, she is transformed, and then go back on it again. Kept the fact and is still <.>only, he is stopped when I went back to orange, or during soft reset.
I have soft reset, reformat, reformatting also via the menu button and notice and updated to firmware via that day too.
What other suggestions are there for it? I can't change the settings because she stayed not long enough to do so.

Thanks in advance!

Could be the battery, but more like a hardware failure in this case your friendship 10 years could be more.

  • Tecra A7 guard turn off as office responsible

    Hello, my name is Simon.

I'm having problems with my Tecra A7 (model No.: PTA70U-00J007). Until now, whenever I turn on my laptop it should start normally. I could then get the Windows XP loading screen, then I would be taken to the Office of my laptop. Short time (about 2 minutes after the computer has booted).

The laptop turns off. I was left with a black screen with the backlight fluorescent on. Although the computer still seems to be as I could hear that it works. I tried to re-boot the computer several times, but again, I have not found a solution. Someone would be able to help out me?

    Please and thank you! :)

    Hello Simon,.

try to start Windows in safe mode (press F8 from time to time when starting your laptop computer while the Windows boot menu displays). If safe mode works, try to remove the video card (Mobile Intel 945 Express) in Device Manager, then reboot in normal mode and remove the driver video together (Intel GMA... driver) Control Panel configuration/add or Remove Programs Manager. Reinstall the driver download from the Toshiba support pages or the pages of Intel support.

Without doubt, this helps, but if you can't boot up your laptop in safe mode, you should restore your Toshiba product recovery disk windows.

I think that this is not a hardware failure.

  • Stream HP Notebook PC 14 guard turn off?

    • My HP Stream Notebook PC 14 keeps turning off, as in the screen just goes black. I can try turn it on, sometimes it runs for a few seconds then turns off, other times, it works normally. But from here, I can't use it at all because it won't just turn. Strangely when it lights up, the cursor is usually not on the screen and appears only after a minute. It is fully charged and I have the charger plugged. It has enough memory, and I've seen problems of this kind where laptops overheated, but the HP Notebook PC 14 Stream has a solid state drive, and it feels never hot. Any help?

I solved my problem. The problem was that the casing of the laptop near the area of the power button has become a little loose. Whenever I moved the laptop, he must have turned on the power button / stop and turned if off. I had a look on the underside of the laptop and found a screw under one of these stickers rubber in the corners. It turns out that he himself had loosened over time. I've screwed, the case is now tighter, and the problem stopped intervened.

  • My computer guard turn off at startup; error starting Windows. Could someone help me please?

    Hello

I have an Emachine, which is about three years old. We take good care of it, look at what we download and perform analyses of virus frequently a week. But for the last two or three weeks every time we start our computer, it takes a few times before he can actually get into Windows because it maintains power off. When he died, and we turn it back on, the computer goes to the screen if you want to put it in safe mode or start Windows normally, because there was an error starting. The computer offers the possibility to try and correct the error, but sometimes it is remedial and it still happens or it goes into repair mode and powers off the coast.

We downloaded and installed the System Mechanic (the latest version), hoping that it could detect errors in the disk hard because we heard good things about the program. Unforunately after installation and with us the program running, he finds errors in all of the computer, but after you power on your computer and leave it alone for a few hours and turn on again, the problem comes back right to the top. From a logical point of view, we think it could be either an error on the HDD causing constantly turning the computer off, there might be a virus in the Startup Repair which is not find and fix the problem or there might be something wrong with the power supply by to short circuit and power off.

Nine times out of ten once the computer is turned on, you can even say that there is a problem to be with, because everything works well. We have some important information about the computer is harmful that we can find and fix the problem.

Thanks a lot for your time!

  • U2414H, guard turn off randomly?

Hi, I have a U2414H and it has been switched off pretty much since I got it almost a year. Why have I not sought help earlier? Beats me. I tried the Dell technical support, but I can't seem to get the good product code and Dell system detects all does not work for some reason any. Anyway, it just completely off and I just have to turn it on again, but it was really annoying. He comes to stop randomly and it doesn't seem to be anything that triggers it. I'm not exactly the same tech savvy, any help on this would be greatly appreciated!

The cables must be fully inserted into the video ports card to work properly.

Sorry but I don't have a cable of CDM on-site

  • HELP, my moto droid guard turn off!

I use the combo of security point thing.  I will then get in the phone... go do something and then hey look, BLACK SCREEN.  Well it is cutting itself.  I had this happen at least 7 times now.  Occasionally I can use it for a few moments, and then it happens again.

I have 70% of power.  As he did several times while I was plugged into the car charger.  It started just like an hour ago.  THUS, it has been restarted several times now!  I have not loaded something new about this.  What is going on?  Suggestions if it continues, please and thank you!

    I would try the following:

Start in SafeMode so that the no you have installed applications won't loaded. Turn off the Droid. Open the physical keyboard, press the menu button and hold it down while you press the button the power. If the stop stops random when the phone is in safe mode then it is possible, one of the applications that you have installed is causing a problem.

If it persists, you can do a factory reset. This is not as scary as it sounds. You will be able to reload all of the apps that was bought from the market place. To do the reset less painful, you can install the AppBrain app. After a sync with AppBrain website, you can go to the site and create a backup copy of your app list that can be used to reinstall.

If this sounds too difficult so I suggest going to a Verizon store. Go to a 'real' store of Verizon, not a wireless Zone franchise.

My laptop keeps switching off and is really hot really frustrating.

    Hello

The games can be hardware intensive (graphics, etc.) and your problem seems to come from a combination of special games and a build-up of dust in your laptop.

It may be an overheating problem and it is normally the main reason for your problem.

    .

If it's a hardware problem, it would not not to restart.

That said, it is possible to have a hairline cracks in the motherboard, etc, which becomes obvious as soon as it warms up

Check vents for hair, dust, etc. and do not use a laptop when it is based on material surfaces: bedspreads, blankets, etc.

If the problem persists, because it of a laptop, bring it to a local computer and reliable repair shop and get them to open and clean the dust inside...

Here is an interesting discussion about the reasons for your problem:

  • My lap top guard turn off while I'm on it thought it was the battery but not what it could be

It maintains close its self off I have a virus, no battery issues I don't know

    Hello

Could be heat related - try using a small fan to blow into the air intakes to see if that helps.
It is just like it loses power or stop it in the normal way?

Remove ALL power and reinstall all the memory cards and cables (both ends where possible).
in fact, remove and replace - don't do not just tight. Remove the dust bunnies and clean the
air vents. Check that fans are working (before and after opening the case). When your laptop on all the
You can do is to reinstall the memory and clean the vents (still may try to add a small fan as a
    test).

This sounds like material so if the above does not help you then probably need help
a real computer store (not the leeks and the glances at a Best Buy or other stores) or the
    Support of system Maker.

  • My acer aspire AS5742 guard sudenly turned off loptop

I apologize because im new here, I could be on the wrong thread or whatever it is.

So my acer loptop AS5742 I used it for 5 years now and I don't think that his old man he needs of recycled. The problem, it happened a few days that I have installed an adobe application, then I restarted the computer after that then the loptop guard turn off without any warning, but he ends up by lights after 3 or 4 seconds. But I was able to restore to a previous point where he worked. The problem occurs whenever I'm working (browsing, games, videos etc. on Plug and battery.) My battery is also broken, it drains really quick. And I have overheating issues too, but I think this isn't the problem because ive check the nucleus of just temperature uaing before it exploded and is no longer heating.
    Windows 8
    Intel core i3
    4 GB of ram
    hard drive 500
    Intel graphics card

And sometimes a few restarts because it automatically turns its self on after the abrupt shut down ot watch lines like static on the logo of windows 8 and through the screen. I hope theres a few solutions thx ^^

Do you want to say she suffers 'spontaneous restart', as we say in the Guild? You say that you restore to an earlier point and the problem disappeared? Then came back? I understand well didn'tI. In the case of the probem on battery only, of course exclude the AC charger. In such circumstances where heat is not known to be the issue, I would find programs to test the RAM and hard drive sectors. This as a starting point. You want to be able to exclude... then you rule finally in.

    Assuming this is the problem.

    Thank you
    Gibbsey

    > spend a lot of time on the wireless signal, the computer closes its doors.

What do you mean exactly by farm down?
The laptop turns off automatically once the WiFi (switch) card is turned on?

I put t think this would cause obsolete WLan driver, this sounds like a hardware problem.
In case it of not possible to use the internal WiFi card, I recommend to use an external USB WiFi dongle.
    Would be the best option

PS: all the drivers for old Toshiba laptops are placed on the page of the Toshiba UE driver.
You will need to search the archives (in the product Type click Archive) for a list of the old series of laptop computer.

  • Satellite A660 - optical driver turns off when burning DVD

I have a problem with the optical drive of energy saving options that disables the drive while burning.

I tried all the suggestions mentioned here [http://forums.toshiba.com/t5/Satellite-Laptops-A-Series/Optical-drive-automatically-turns-off-due-to-power-saver/td-p/223654], but it does not help.

I start at the burn in Ashampoo Burning Studio free, and he seems to be good until the end. When it starts the process of lead-out the popup of the optical signals Drive Power drive is turned off. It's funny because it is still running at the speed of combustion and it will not stop. The reader becomes unresponsive, even I can't the DVD out. Even, that it disappears from the list of devices.

The only way I thought so far to stop the car and release the DVD is in the shutdown/Hibernate the computer.

Once the dive starts working again the STRANGE Fn-tab functionality started working and I can turn it on/Off/ejection at will.

All the burned DVD - s are not valid, and so far I have not managed to burn a single functional DVD.

    I have a Toshiba Satellite A660 - PSAW3E with Win7 Enterprise 64-bit.

Is there a way to fix this? Remove the optical drive power management?

    Hello

To be honest I have never heard of this issue, but it appears that the optical drive power management is part of the power of Toshiba configuration utility.
Part of the Toshiba value added package configuration done Toshiba power utility.

What you can try, for testing purposes, to remove the Toshiba added value of the system package, restart your computer and try to burn DVDs again to see if the same problem will occur again.

Toshiba value added package contains several tools such as utility cards flash FN so after his withdrawal, you will not be able to use the FN keys. In any case, after that trial, you can download and install Toshiba value added package again.

I mean, I know what kind of conflict is there, but maybe you should consider it.
