  I installed oracle 11g r2 rac with asm into two nodes. Operating system is hp-Unix.
  
  I installed oracle11g Active Data Guard using the single database only.
  
  The RAc and Active Data Guard works very well.
  
  I do not have set up Data Guard Broker.
  
  NB : RAC node1 is running using spfile that is in the disk of the ASM (+ DATA / spfiledcpdb.ora) but node2 is running using pfile.

  AFAIK there are no ActiveX GSView interface. GSVIew is not a Windows-specific product. Anyone out there can have created an ActiveX interface for it, but you'd have to Google for it.

So I need a bit of an automated process to turn it on and leave it alone. I use this option in Norton 360, it works fine as far as I can tell. But I guess that a windows application is more accurate or complete.
