How to pass Windows 2000 pro for vista ultimate 64-bit?

I have Windows 2000 Professional installed on a new computer. I'm running a motherboard geForce XFX 8200 with a 64-bit AMD phenom chip. I bought the upgrade to Vista Ultimate 64 bit at my college and when I try to install it I get an error "IRQL not less or equal ' also, I have a disk sata hard to 500gig 2000 pro recognized as a 130 concert. can anyone help?

There is no upgrade path supported from Windows 2000 to Windows Vista - a "clean install" of Vista is necessary.

Download and run the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor.

And also to use the Windows 7 Compatibility Center.

  • How is good compared to windows security essentials windows Defender I run vista ultimate 64 bit

When I run security essentials on my vista ultimate 64 bit pc that I do not in the Add Remove programs and stop some programs from running at startup to the top is normal, because it is not happened on my old windows xp,

MSE (microsoft security essentials) stops Windows | Defender.

Therefore, you will not be able to access Windows Defender in order to change some startup programs.

If this is your problem, here's another way to go to start programs...

Start > Search box, type msconfig > press enter > at the top, click on start > here is the list of startup programs.

To disable, uncheck the box in front.

    Press OK when finished.

    > I can't enter in Add Remove programs...
    Why not?

In Vista, it called programs and features, not add/remove.

  • Satellite X 200-219: are there drivers for Vista Ultimate 64-bit

I am trying to upgrade the operating system on the X 200-219 this 32-bit edition of Windows Vista Home Premium to Windows Vista Ultimate 64 - bit Edition.

The question is, are there drivers available for the satellite X 200 series that support Windows Vista 64-bit systems?

Also, if I can't upgrade, how can I use a maximum of 4 GB of RAM installed on my system if Windows Vista Home Premium can only see 3 GB max?

    > The question is, are there drivers available for the satellite X 200 series that support Windows Vista 64-bit systems?
Unfortunately, it does seem that the divers from 32-bit (no matter if it s Vista or XP) are available on the European driver Toshiba page.
It seems that the Vista 64 bit drivers are not supported at this time.

    > How can I use a maximum of 4 GB of RAM installed on my system if Windows Vista Home Premium can only see 3 GB max?
Well, usually the memory of 4 GB problem is the limitation of 32 bit OS System.
    http://support.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/TSB7601WE0007R01.htm

However, I read some reviews and it looks like this after installing Vista SP1, one can recognize all of 4 GB.

  • Reinstallation DVD for Vista Ultimate 64 - bit Edition

    Hi all

New on the HP community and I must say I am impressed. I just bought an A6660T with Vista Ultimate 64 bit edition desktop computer. I talked to a very competent sales representative. He informed me that after I received the system, I could call Technical Support and the requisition of the re - install Vista Ultimate 64 bit dvd for $30. Has anyone done that? The reason I ask, I want to do my own clean install of the o/s, the recovery disks will not be enough for me. I believe that HP has these records on-site. I appreciate all the comments and look forward to a great experience here on the HP Forum!

    Thanks again

Welcome to the forums! I can't wait to start your experience here with a negative, but the game you order from HP is the same as the recovery set, you can burn using Recovery Manager on your computer. HP is not the finish plain Vista install DVD for class of consumer machines.

The sales representative may have thought class machines business, which I guess still has this option as they did on XP machines.

  • Problems with the Visa Business for Vista Ultimate 64-bit upgrade

I have been a loyal customer of ThinkPad T for 10 years. I just got my new T500. In my efforts to save money and wanting to be the best that I bought a 2089-2KU with 2 GIG RAM, Vista Business and a core 9400 processor duo, and then I started immediately at this level to 4 GIG of RAM and Vista Ultimate 64 bit. This has not been fun and my upgrade does not work as I had hoped for. Miss me a lot of drivers after downloading everything on the sites of Lenovo, Microsoft and Intel.

Is there anyone in the community who can give me some constructive advice outside of spending $500 at a sum of $1,000 on a support, or telling me to clear the machine and buy a new one set up correctly by Lenovo in the factory?

The easy way to upgrade is to use the Vista Business 64 recovery disks. Like you bought Vista Business 32 Microsoft license is also valid for Vista Business 64. Unfortunately Lenovo support don't honor the Microsoft licensing system and refuse to embark a recovery disc Vista 64 for you if your system came with Vista 32.

But if you google on thinkpad recovery disks, you'll find U.S. resellers of spare parts online who are willing to sell you the Vista Business 64 recovery discs you need.

  • Help... I need DV6-1106TX drivers for vista Ultimate 64-bit

    Hello

I just bought my laptop Hp Pavilion DV6-1106TX entertainment. I got a pre installed vista and I wanted a second operating system that works in 64-bit (windows vista ultimate). I was wondering where can I get the drivers for the whole unit coz (hardware, chip, etc.), that I can't find anywhere in the software and drivers hp. And also information on the dual boot in pre installed vista? something to consider before you install the new OS?

    Thanks in advance

All your drivers/program installers are in C:\SwSetup on your hard drive. Copy it to a dvd for safety before changing anything. Most of the drivers from HP are 32/64 bit compatible. (Check some of the descriptons of driver in the links above, most say 32/64-bit).

The links above I posted just in case one of them was actually your model, although the pilots would probably work.

BTW, if you do not so_make your recovery set before installing the new operating system or modify the partitions of hard drive somehow:

  • Update from XP Pro to Vista Ultimate in 2013

I have a Dell desktop computer perfectly although I bought new in 2009.  I bought under Windows Vista Ultimate Bonus, which means that it's a license for Vista Ultimate, but came with the "downgrade" to XP Pro pre-installed.  Reference Dell shipped a Windows XP and a Vista Ultimate 32-bit SP1 with the PC reinstall drive.

Now that XP reaches the end of the life cycle, I am considering upgrading to Vista Ultimate, so I can get a few years out of this machine.  Is this a good idea?  I'll be able to perform an upgrade to XP using the disc to reinstall Vista from Dell?  Are there pitfalls that I should be aware?

Well, I took the lead with this update and I have to tell you, this has been the process much more time that I never crossed on a computer.  I went through a lot, too, including recently updated 5 computers to Windows 8.1 (which is from Windows 7 to 8 8 to 8.1 8.1 overview overview).

Anyway, for those who may have the same idea I had, my biggest hurdle was enter about 20 minutes in the upgrade and running the "Windows could not update the configuration to start the computer.  Not proceed with the installation. ' After several attempts and a lot of research in these discussions, I fell on my stationary.  I needed to start the computer from the disk, and then click the Windows repair option below.  A start-up error has been detected, and I chose the hotfix and restart.  Finally, I was able to restart the process of upgrading XP successfully.

A few hours later I always install hundreds of Windows, including Service Pack 2 updates, but everything seems to work.
