Failed to retrieve Windows 8 HP (recovery discs) used

Hello. I don't know where to start.

System Info-

HP Pavilion Notebook g6t-2200

Windows 8 (64-bit)

It comes to my sisters computer. His system was slow, so I had to reinstall the OS using the recovery media that I ordered for the system. Ive reinstalled the operating systems for computers muliple since Windows 2000.

I had 3 discs entitled - System Recovery DVD Windows 8 Recovery Media for Windows 8 products.

and 1 Application and Driver Recovery DVD.

I started the PC, Went in the UEFI (BIOS) and changed the Boot Options in the CD - DVD drive, insert the disc 1 and rebooted

The Recovery Manager Loaded and start the Image Factory reset.

I have inserted all 3 CD when you are prompted during the "reformat the Windows Partition of the hard disk", "copy the files required to restore the hard drive" and "restore the files to the hard drive.

I said that if I got any additional recovery CD insert them now. I had this Application and Driver Recovery DVD, but it has not inserted and has chosen to ignore, because of the fact that the CD has not come in the same sheath as others.

The PC rebooted and went through a setup process and several reboots. After all this, the PC has restarted and told me that the recovery has NOT. It gave me the opportunity to start again, or create a dump file.

I am at a loss, should I have used the disc when prompted? Any help would be nice = D

Hello

Once the device is powered continue to hit the F2 key, run the test drive & hard memory on the device, if a test fails, you will need to replace the part. If the test is successful, you will need to order the recovery disk.

  • Cannot retrieve Windows 8.1 recovery disc

    Hello

I have a laptop Windows 8.1 (recovery discs are for Windows 8, see detail in image 1).

My computer mouse laptop left click suddenly began to act as a right-click, the computer froze and started to make a noise, and when I restarted using the power button it got stuck in the loop of auto repair. I tried all options in F8, F9, F10 and nothing has worked. I did a disk check by pressing F2, and then it failed (see picture 2).

Following this I used my recovery discs and I got the message - destination not connected drive (see image 3).

Is my hard drive corrupted and need to be replaced? I'm in the United Kingdom, but I bought the laptop in India.

Also, if I am able to use the recovery discs, I get W8 and not W8.1, which is what I had. How can I recover to W8.1 directly?

    Thank you

Short DST: Fail > means that the hard disk has failed and must be replaced. You can use your recovery on a new hard drive disks. Just be sure to get a capacity at least equal than the original.

If the laptop comes with Windows 8, there is no way directly recover Windows 8.1.

My son has a Toshiba Satellite 115-S1100 netbook. Somehow he completely erased everything on this thing. When I tried to run Windows Recovery discs 7 32 bit Home Premium, I get a message 'no operating system found'. Toshiba support told me that I needed to replace the internal hard drive. Also, given that the netbook is not a hard disk, I will be their execution via an external dvd drive. Will this work? Any help or pointers would be much appreciated. Thank you.

  • Failed to retrieve the DIAdem DataFinder research data, using data-finder toolkit LabVIEW 2009

I am facing problem to retrieve the DIAdem Datafinder data.

At first, I developed this project in LabVIEW 2010. But because of a problem that I met in LabVIEW 2010, I thougth to work on the project in LabVIEW 2009.

Then, I reused the project that I created using LV 2010 using option economy for the previous version.

When I tried to retrieve the data from the tiara using data finder toolkit. I got a 305505 warning. Please see the attached message of Warninig.

But I have not seen this warning while I was working in LabVIEW 2010 and also, I was able to get the data from the tiara.

Please suggest me a way to solve this problem.

    Hi Nanda,
There is a bug when using the SDK use in combination with DataFinder Toolkit 2009.
This bug is already fixed in LabVIEW 2010 and use SDK 2010. But as you said there is another question in LabVIEW 2010, forcing you to LV 2009.
I suggest you use LabVIEW 2009 with use SDK 2009 and DataFinder Toolkit 2009 and instead to use the "Waveform.vi results" to read the search results, I would recommend to use the screw storage. I spread your example VI and it attached to this message. You will still see the dialog box to search for "lvStorage.dll" but it will automatically disappear and the VI works anyway because in this case LabVIEW will find the dll itself.
My extended VI uses the '_openWithRoot.vi' to open a file with a different use than CT or PDM. This VI is also described in the following knowledge base article: http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/epd/p/id/4181
With LabVIEW 2010 use support has been enhanced and fully integrated in the standard palette of storage screws. So in LabVIEW 2010, you can replace the "_openWithRoot.vi" with the 'Open Data Storage.vi' standard but with LabVIEW 2010, you can also use "Waveforms.vi results" to read the search results.

    I hope this helps.

    Kind regards

  • Pavilion 15-p155nr: failed to retrieve Windows 8.1 on Pavilion 15-p155nr. Help, please.

Hello. I have a problem with my laptop HP Pavilion 15-p155nr. I just purchased and decided to change for one SSD HARD drive. I had done it before on another HP laptop. Now, I saved the image of Windows 8.1 on three DVD - DL discs, with the help of creation of HP Recovery Manager, which is preinstalled in the system. The discs have been recorded correctly. I disassembled my laptop computer and changed in SSD HARD drive. Then I started from the first recovery disk and start the download. It downloaded all the necessary information of all three DVDs and began to intall. This lasted about 2.5 hours and finally, during the installation should have completed, Recovery manager gave me some errors. I can't find any information on this error in the net, so I decided to write to HP support so that there is no other way to solve this problem. Errors, you can see on the photo. I want also to emphasize, that a new SSD has been initialized and MBR has been set.

UPDATE! The system was installed, but when I opened this computer or workstation (what you want) I noticed that there is no recovery partition... I guessed that it will happen. Help! What is the problem that Recovery manager fails to install this partition?

UPDATE 2!  I tried to get back on 500 GB HARD drive and it does! Now I have the only question - 256 GB SSD will be adapted covers? I ask exactly about 256 GB SSD because I can change 120 to 256, pay more, but the 512 GB SSD is too expensive for me.

If the SSD is much smaller capacity than the original hard drive there may not be enough space for the recovery partition plus size of the necessary recovery for Windows partition. I know it seems to require more that it is really necessary, but it is an image used to restore. Most of the people have not even get so successful - and totally refusing to install on the smaller hard drive recovery.

  • Help required with HARD drive recovery tool and reinstall windows 8.1 recovery discs on aspire or v15

Hi guys. I am new to this and in total confusion. I bought a aspire v15 nitro preloaded with win 8.1. I've updated to win 10 but decided to decline to 8.1. Process has failed and I got the blue screen error msg and a useless piece of plastic. I had to buy a set of recovery disks (reluctanlty at a cost of £51 - yes I know stupid me). I tried to reinstall from the disc, but I suck. I have acer cntacted and they have now tell me that I have to first download and install and disk formatting tool. I am confused now totally frustrated and quietly seething. I need help, I'm outta my depth here. Can anyone provide assistance as to what HD formatting of tool to download - what should I do with it to finally lift the laptop and run again? Your help is greatly appreciated!

If you recovery media standard windows options, you can try to select "repair my computer" - Troubleshooting - Advanced Search - command prompt
Once in the command prompt type
    DiskPart
    then, type diskpart
    list disk
take note of the correct disc ID to clear
    type
    Select disk x
(where x is the ID of your disk to erase)
    type
    clean
    Type exit

If you do not have this option:

    http://www.partitionwizard.com/Partition-Wizard-bootable-CD.html
    Download the .iso file
then use a software to burn CD/DVD or USB flash drive and burn the .iso file
Once completed, put the CD/DVD/USB on your PC, boot from CD/USB (maybe you need to start under the legacy if you have the UEFI BIOS)
Press F12 on startup and choose the CD or USB
at the level of the Office
    Select your HARD drive
Right-click on the icon for your HARD drive and choose completely erase your HARD drive (it will erase any GPT or MBR at the disk), choose the first option after selecting the clear function.
Exit the wizard partition, boot from the BIOS, UEFI return of the Legacy (if you have the UEFI BIOS) and boot from media erecovery.

  • Failed to retrieve Windows Photo upward

I backed up my HDD to an external hard drive Western Digital when my computer informed me that my hard drive was about to fail.   Then I restored my files to the new HD.  The problem is that my pictures have not been restored - the files are there, but they are empty.    I used Adobe Photoshop 2 to process the photos originally, but I don't have a copy saved this old application to replace on my new HD.    In my opinion, this is why I can't get the photos.  Can someone tell me how to restore the photos without the old software or tell me where I could find the old software for Photoshop 2?  I installed Photoshop 3, but I had never used it before, so it did not help.

I used Windows to the top. I went through all suggestions from windows support to retrieve files from the back to the top, but all I get is the empty file folder.

    Hi AndreeMiller,

Are you facing the issue only with folders with pictures?

You can try the following steps and check if it helps:

    a. right click on the folder and select Properties.

    b. check the size of the folder.

If this isn't displays 0 bytes, then the folder is hidden.

You can see the corresponding article to activate the hidden folder:

  • Failed to retrieve the multi selection of values using the child form

    Hi all

    I'm a newbie on OIM 11 g. Need a small suggestion.

I have a requirement that I need to display a list of all services and the user can select more than one Department. Based on the need of some departments to pick up employees of the departments.

I created the child form and added an attribute to retrieve the departments of Looups.
Added the child form to your Parent process.

Can someone help me by providing the next steps to achieve this functionality.

    Thank you
    SG

Do not know if I understood your request correctly or not, but here are my understanding:

You have users associated with different users. You want to set up users in some RO and why you created a few model numbers for select users.

I hope that you have some kind of relationship between departments and users
    Have a single Dataset Parent
Create a child Dataset and have two search boxes - a Department and second for the user
Use search queries to select user based on the selected service in Field1
    Field2 be required i.e. user

In the same way, create two processes form Parent and child. Child form will have two fields. You can create text fields.
After approval, the data selected on dataset will come to your child process
Create corresponding task of the trigger for INSERTION in the definition of the process that will read data from child to process the form and arrangement of these users. (Research Forum or go through Oracle Docs to learn more about these triggers to child form)

  • Windows 7 64-bit recovery discs

I installed Windows 8 and it is just messed up and and I don't like, so I ordered Windows 7 64 bit HP recovery discs using my serial number of computers.

Thus, these actually wipe the hard drive and reinstall Windows 7?

    Hello:

This is what the recovery discs are designed to do.

  • USB stick not recognized when creating recovery disc in Windows 8.

Original title: Recovery Media Creator prblem

Hello-I have a desktop K430 Lenovo with a 1 to HDD, Win8 64 b, 12 GB of memory. I'm trying to create a recovery disc using a flash drive HP with 32 GB. I bought a 2 GB Tech Universe that should do the job, but the Recovery Media Creator suggest 16 GB.

I installed USB Flash Drive 32 GB HP which is identified as HPv125w (F): the computer and selected for how to manage the unknown data or take any Action. I formatted the Flash Drive ENF to match my file system. I also chose computer /Devices removable and open as portable devices in the hope that the flash player would be recognized by the Recovery Media Creator, but it didn't happen.

I run the following command to create a Recovery flash drive:

Control Panel/All Control Panel Items/Recovery/create a recovery disk/copy the recovery partition from the pc on the recovery drive (I checked this assertion). I clicked NEXT to continue the process.  I was instructed to connect a USB and the reader must be able to contain at least 16 GB. He also said that everything on the disk is deleted. Identity of the flash player (HPv125w (F) does not appear on the page of recovery media and THEN is grayed out. I need help with this problem.  After checking the Microsoft Community, I learned that I could use search from the start page or opening of office and enter recoverydrive.exe and make appear the Recovery Media Creator. I performed this task once again, but I got the same results, as shown above. Thanks in advance.

  • Failed to retrieve after replacing the hard drive on my DV6

I replaced the hard drive on my DV6.  Insert the recovery discs, I had done and went through the process.  At the end it rebooted and was told that he failed.  Says to put 1 recovery disc in and try again, but just a loop even message.

    Hello

Assuming that it's just a problem with the recovery media, here's another solution, you can try.

Before you try the following, make sure that you can always read the character product activation key 25 on your label Windows COA (5 blocks of 5 alphanumeric games).

An example of a COA label can be seen here.

You can create a Windows 7 installation disc yourself using another PC - just download the good Disk Image ( this must be the same version that originally came with your laptop - it is listed as Windows 7 Home Premium ) from the link below and use an app like ImgBurn ( Note: you can deselect additional software offerings when you install ImgBurn) to burn the ISO correctly on a blank DVD - a guide on the use of ImgBurn to write an ISO on a disc is here.  The source of the Windows Image is Digital River.

    Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit SP1.

Use the disk to perform the installation, enter the activation key of Windows on the label of the COA at the request and once the installation is complete, use ' 'phone Method' described in detail in the link below to activate the operating system -this made method supported by Microsoft and is popular with people who want to just have a new installation of Windows 7 without additional software load normally comes with OEM installations.

All pilots additional and the software, you may need can be found here.

  • Need to file for "TOHSIBA Recovery Disc Creator" on Satellite A205-s5825

    Hello

    I've got Satellite A205-s5825
Well, I'm 4,000 km of distance from my Toshiba Recovery DVD, comes with the box.
No problem - I can use the recovery disk creator... so I thought.

The laptop is less than a week in use, no partitions are changed, etc.
Well, page 59 of my guide tells me to 0 (zero) button while turning on the machine to start in the partition recovery... No, this won't work. I tried many different variations.

And 60 page told me to use the 'Office' for the Toshiba Recovery Disc Creator icon.
No, there is no icon. It is the same graph icon here, but it is for "Toshiba Software Updates" and not "Recovery Disc Creator"

Toshiba Assist (executable program)... No, not help for this.
I looked in every path of C: trying to find out what executable mystery... and also any exploration of menu start... nothing.

I need Windows executable for "Recovery Disc Creator". (need name of file as trdc.exe or something else)
    Anyone know it?

    Thank you

(P.S. Shell repair when pressing F8 and asking "repair my computer" also does not provide the option to create recovery discs.
It assumes that you have already created those when in the shell.)

    Hello

It seems that it is not a European model possibly the American TV series so I put t know exactly how it works in the portable American TV series but by pressing the F8 key, and then choosing the option fix my computer would start the HDD recovery procedure.
It would be the same as restoring from Recovery CD or DVD.

The Toshiba Recovery Disc Creator must be also installed somewhere on the HARD drive.
I think you should check the folder programs and Toshiba.

    Best regards

  • dv4-3138tx: HP - win 7 Home premium x 64 recovery disc

I intend to improve my hdd of 750Go of laptop(dv4-3138tx) to a new 120 GB SDS. Before you begin, I created a set of HP recovery discs using HP Recovery Manager. To make sure that disk works, I tested the recovery DVDs on my laptop original 750 GB hard drive. Unfortunately, the recovery disk 2 of 3 failed. Now my laptop cannot start. I intend to do a fresh install, but now I don't have any installation media. I tried to download a copy of the standard iso Microsoft win7, but was not allowed to use my oem license key. I understand that downloading iso is reserved for retail customers.

No idea how should I proceed?

I make this separate post so that you will notice.  I hightly suspect the recovery disk set would not work with the new SSD, even if he had worked on the with the original hard drive.  If the recovery partition is still intact, you can run it to restore everything as if the set of recovery disks was run.

You mark the partition as active recovery, (search for GParted) and execute the recovery of the partition manager.
