How to pass Windows 8 to score two on a new SSD one partition?

I would like to replace my hard drive with a faster SSD. I have Windows 8 pro is installed on the second partition of the hard drive. I would like to copy or it reimage for the SSD without partition. As it will take too much work and can cause more problems that installation from scratch is not an option. Is there an easy way to do it?

Thank you, Lionel.

Ok. In the first partition, I had Windows 7 last month and on the second Win8 Pro. I reduced these two partitions with Aomei Partition Wizard and made an image with Paragon Backup and restore of these two partitions on an external drive. After I changed the HDD with SSD, I started the computer with Paragon bootable recovery DVD. Restored to the image I did for the SSD. I had to reboot once after that with the Windows 8 DVD I bought from Microsoft. Everything is OK now. Thanks a lot for your help.

  • Clean install of windows 8 pro x 64 on a new ssd upgrade, I have windows xp x 32 on a disk hard available, which I no longer use, can I do this?

I want to clean install windows 8 pro x 64 on a new ssd upgrade.

I have windows xp x 32 on an existing hard drive which I no longer use, I can do this, that I can start the upgrade process, and then point the installation on the new SSD?
I really don't want to install XP on the new SSD and am not bothered about keeping programs or settings

How to do a clean install:

Step 1: Use the upgrade wizard to describe the PC and pay the $40 (US)

Step 2: When the 'Install Windows 8' message appears, select 'Install by creating media' to create a bootable USB key or .iso (a disk image) file.

Step 3: Wait for the Wizard download Windows 8 Pro installation package and create the bootable media or .iso file. The flash player must be having 3 GB or more of free space available.

Step 4: Burn the .iso file, if that's the path you have chosen, to a blank DVD.

Step 5: Use this key USB or DVD to boot the PC.

Step 6: When you get to the screen in the Setup program that asks, "which type of installation you want?" choose "custom".

Step 7: Select a drive for the operating system partition in the next screen. At this point, you can create a new partition if there is enough space available or reformat the hard disk.

Step 8: Proceed with the installation of Windows 8 Pro.

You should probably do a phone activation after installation is complete.

    1. press the Windows key + X , and then click run, and then type: slui.exe 4

    2. then press the ENTER"" key.

    3. Select your "country" in the list.

    4. choose the option "activate phone".

    5. stay on the phone (do not select/press all options) and wait for a person to help you with the activation.

    6. explain your problem clearly to the support person.

  • How to move Win7Pro from my HARD drive to a new SSD

I am running Windows 7 Professional on a desktop Dell 560. The software that I use for astroimaging involves math matrix on piles of large images (~ 30 MB each) in "battery" 8 to 20 images to resolve fine detail. Doing this on the existing HARD disk is tedious, with a deconvolution race take from 50 to 90 minutes with a profusion of disk read/write cycles. I want to change the operating system of a new SSD with the software. Is there a way to legitimately transfer the OS and other applications for the SSD? I'm guessing that copying simply of the C: existing to the SSD drive to prove unsuccessful.

    Did he do that?
    TIA
    James

    SSD of cloning:

You can clone the installation for the SSD, provided that the SSD is large enough to accommodate the installation to be cloned.

See http://www.ssdfreaks.com/content/664/how-to-clone-hdd-to-ssd-with-windows-7s-own-software or (easier) use a trial version of Acronis True Image Home 2012.

Note that, immediately after cloning, you must stop and unplug the original installation. The disc can be reconnected once the DSS started successfully.

  • How to pass Windows 7 64 bit to 32 bit?

To replace Windows XP, I bought and installed the 64 bit version of Windows 7.  Now am having problems with disk space, so bought 32-bit version of the Windows Installer.  However, when I boot from the DVD and select custom installation, I get an error indicating that the partition for the system doesn't have enough memory to install.  There are options to delete or format the partition - don't know if one of them, are a good idea.  Help on next steps?

Delete the partitions, the 'System' of 100 MB partition as the partition on which Windows is installed must be removed.

Windows will then create the necessary partitions during the installation process.

Note: The data do before installing Windows.

  • How to pass windows 7 Home premium 32-bit to windows 8 pro 64-bit

Do I need an another full OEM 64 bit version or upgrad version will do?  Thank you.

Your documents and it will be in the Windows.old folder, but all programs that you have installed will be gone. Going from 32-bit to 64-bit is a clean install and all programs that you all will need to be reinstalled.

It would be wise to save all documents, photos, music, and anything else that you do not want to lose before doing the installation.

  • How to install Windows without recovery disc - Satellite A660 with new HARD drive

    Hey,.

Portable 500 GB HDD of my friend Toshiba Satellite A660 seems to have died.
I tied him to my laptop on a sata dock and runs a data recovery program because nothing has been saved. The recovery takes forever, however, and she really needs his computer to work.

Because the hard disk may be damaged in any case, I am considering buying a new hard drive and install in the Toshiba.

How can I do this without a recovery disk, though?
The old drive was a partition recovery on it, I think, but this seems useless with a new drive.
Operating system is Windows 7 64 bit home edition.

The product key is on the bottom of the laptop.
I live in Turkey and so I don't think there is a Toshiba store is close.
There are individual computer stores, so I'm confident, I can buy a new internal hard drive (I could find the sata dock here), but he must know what to do to install the software, etc.

    Thank you!
    Chris

    > How can I do this without a recovery disk, though?

You either have the recovery disk or you are going to install the system using the Microsoft Windows disk.
The necessary drivers are in internet on Toshiba UE page.

The recovery disc can also be ordered here:

  • Pass the old audit in two stages of new two-factor authentication?

Someone went from the old system of audit in two steps at the new verification of two factors? Or deployment only goes to people who don't use two-step before?

    juls

My household has three identifiers Apple.

    • The first ever used anything else two factors, and it has new two-factor authentication to implement. (I did not in place because the user would rather not have the slight inconvenience and stores not anything of any value in this iCloud account.)
    • The second uses two factors verification and has for some time. No two-factor authentication is offered in iCloud for this account security screen, and even when I remove two factors verification, no two-factor authentication is offered. The account never had e-mails from Apple offers two-factor authentication.

I called Apple, directly about it. AppleCare support people had no additional information. They just said that it would probably place for me later. They were not citing any inner knowledge. They just read me verbatim the 2FA availability public Apple support article.

    • The third is from an old iTunes account there are a dozen years and has all my iTunes purchases. Apple has never allowed this merger with an ID of iCloud, so I still use it, but I don't have that on any iOS device iCloud account, he can not use anything other than text messages SMS for authentication.

I wish we could find an answer to when we will be allowed to use 2FA with situations like my second Apple ID.

I also wish that apple might come to a better solution for the third code of Apple. I realize that content providers have contracts with Apple that restrict or prohibit their ID merger (sigh!), but that would not prevent Apple of engineering this system to allow an iOS device serve as an authenticator for additional code. iOS devices are considered as single user, but many people have more than one Apple. Maybe this will change for the better when the devices iOS supports multiple users, although I would not want to have to go from one user to the other constantly.
