battery in or out?

Should I take out my battery when my Pavillion G6 is used as your desktop connected to an external monitor. I intend to use most of the time this way.

Hello

Personally, I think it is a good idea - the best way to store the battery should empty at about 40% charge then wrap it in a plastic bag and store it somewhere cool like a fridge (not freezer).

For more information on lithium-ion batteries, see link below.

  • Leave the battery in or out

I guess this applies to all laptops, but since I have my T400 connected almost exclusively to food, should I leave the battery in or out?

In other words, is the aging of the battery faster because it is in a constant state of charge (in) or it would last longer if I removed it while the computer connected to the power supply?

    Thank you.

leave the battery in won't hurt, if you are not using your battery which keep well the battery around 40 to 60%. Then go into your power manager thinkvantage in respect of the maintenance of the battery. Set the level to minimum load to near 20% and maximum level between 40 and 60%.

Now unplug your power supply, then run the battery around 60%, then reconnect your power back. This should maximize your battery life.

Also, if you use the 65 watts, the laptop adapter speed Accelerator (CPU speed will be capped) If you do not have the battery plugged.

  • Battery drains when out of State

I was very happy with my Razr M. I travel a bit and have noticed that the battery runs out in less than 6 hours and the phone is hotter than normal when I'm out of State.

I don't have this problem when I'm at my home port. The lowest level of the battery I saw after 12 hours is about 40%.

This could be the cause this excess heat and the low battery life? Thanks in advance.

You can get your real signal strength by going to settings > about phone > status > network type and resistance. This will give you the strength of your signal. The more the worst strength. Remember that it will be negative numbers, so-72 is greater than-85.

On my phone, /-105-100 is average for the 4 G and-72 /-86 is an average of 3 G. Your signal may or may not be the same as mine. Everything depends on your location and the proximity of the Verizon Tower and the amount of energy that the tower is designed to push. There are a ton of different variables that will change your signal strength. I hope this helps.

  • BlackBerry Z10 broke the contact on my Z10 battery - throw it out!

Generally, a fan of BB and Z10 has been great for over a year. Now, I have a problem and no solution is apparent. I folded one of the 4 contact pins that connect to the battery. Carefully straightened it, and she just broke. It is out of warranty. Service companies tell me that they can't get on the part of BB and they can't fix it. I was told to throw the phone! My career has generously offered to sell me a new phone once I have repaid the residual of $280 remaining on my plan. Online verification, I found the part to the United Kingdom, I think this command, but the technicians tell me that they can destroy the phone tries to mount the part when even (mounts on the motherboard). It's starting to look like a VW problem, I had once, I won't bore you with the ugly details...

    Anyone got any ideas?

It seems that part is, in effect, soldered to the motherboard of the machine, as they say. I doubt that part could cost a lot, so you're basically risking just labor costs to fix. I would probably give it a try.

Just out of curiosity, where did you find this part?

  • living options volume and battery are grayed out.

My wife has a dell xps m1330.  the volume and the icon of life batteries have work then dissappeared.  I looked to where you would turn on them, but they grayed.  I can't turn their back on.  How do you get them back on?

    Hi Jarynelle,
Thanks for choosing Microsoft answers Forum.

This problem may occur if the Windows group policy disables the power (or battery), and Volume icons, or the registry keys related to notification area icons have corrupted. To re-enable and restore policies must be turned off, and the registry keys, cleared or fixed.
Activate the system via Local Group Policy Editor icons

Run GPedit.msc to start local Group Policy Editor.

Expand the tree and access Configuration user-> templates-> Start Menu and taskbar to administration.

Change the status value the value to Disable or not configured for the following group policies allow the display or the display of the icon in the notification area.

Volume: Remove the volume control icon

Power (battery) icon: remove the battery meter

Close the local Group Policy Editor.

Restart Explorer, Log off and log back or restart the computer for the changes to take effect.

User who uses Windows without Local Group Policy Editor can change the registry value via the Publisher of the registry instead.

Turn on the system icons to display or display via the registry

    Run the registry (RegEdit.exe) editor.
Navigate to the following registry key:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer

Delete and delete the following registry values in the right pane:
    HideSCAPower
    HideSCAVolume

    NoTrayItemsDisplay
Then, navigate to the following registry key:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer
Yet once, remove all if found following registry values:
    HideSCAPower
    HideSCAVolume
    Exit Registry Editor.
Explore and restart, logoff and connection of the output again, or reboot the computer to apply the changes.

  • MacBook air 13 "2015 battery

My macbook is a 13 "2015 air and my question is,
It doesn't ruin my battery if I continue to take away it in and out of the charger.
For example in my school whenever someone walk in front of me instead of walking on the wire - they plug my charger while my macbook is still in the charger.
    Which ruins the macbook battery?

Lithium-Ion batteries have no memory effect and it's perfectly OK to plug it into your computer when it is convenient; There is no need to wait for the battery to run out first. Similarly, there is no need to wait until the battery is fully charged before unplugging.

(There are two simple rules to follow: 1) when you get the message that the computer is subject to be able to put it to sleep as soon as possible. Running the battery up to 0% is not good for the battery. (2) do not leave the computer plugged in all the time. Although this is not a problem for you, make sure that at least one or two times a month, you use the computer on battery power.

  • iPhone 6 more battery problems?

I got my iPhone 32 gb gray space 6, with for about a year 1/2 now. It worked perfectly for 1.5 years, but now there seems to be a problem. My iPhone battery life will increase from 3% (not connected) to 15% while it is plugged instantly. Then when it is removed say 15 minutes later the dough goes straight back to 2,1,4,3%. And when my phone is charged a good amount as 75% of its battery life runs out pretty quickly. About 45 minutes if you are on instagram. My family has had the same problem and its diagnosis of apple was a manufacturing error. It was just like my situation, everything's fine until the battery starts to spoil. The Apple store was going to give him a replacement, but she told them that they had purchased a new battery to put inside. That did not work for them. But the store said that they could not provide a replacement due to the fact that the iPhone had been "worked on". If I receive a replacement? I have to pay something? They could send me a replacement?

According to Apple, only Apple or Apple authorized service providers are allowed to maintain the phone, without losing any warranty or out-of-warranty service options, including the replacement of the battery or the screen.

As to your question, visit an Apple Retail Store or an authorized service provider would be the quickest way to find out if your battery needs to be replaced after 1.5 years. According to the use of the phone, it may be necessary.

But if they do not find a battery fault, you will have to pay for the new battery.

You can also contact Apple Support for that, they can also test your battery online. However, shipping and replacing the battery may take longer to make an appointment at the Apple Store.

  • iPhone 6 battery issue

I just had a new battery installed in my iPhone 6 as my old battery was beginning to swell.  I'm on my second new battery in a few days that I had this problem with the new first as well.  Now my phone drains as 20-30% in less than an hour without use.  It almost seems to flow faster when I do not use it.  If I look at the use of the battery, it will not appear its use for individual applications.  In other words, I have no idea why the phone is empty.  I burned completely recharged battery, tried a hard reset and did a full restore.  I have not had this problem with my old swollen battery.  Anyone have any idea why this is happening or have a solution?  Is this a hardware problem?

    Hi Richard,

As I understand it, this is your third battery in no time. And, while the third is not a swelling, the battery life seems out of control down. To complicate the problem, you are not able to determine where this power goes as your use is not shown individual applications. I applaud the troubleshooting you have already done. Let's see if we can get this to work as it should.

What I would like for you to do first are to make sure that you have a recent backup of your iPhone as I would recommend going to completely erase your iPhone all the way up to the iOS.

The backup of your iPhone, iPad and iPod touch

Once your personal information is safe, follow this article to all clear and set up the return to the factory settings.

Use iTunes on your Mac or PC to restore your iPhone, iPad or iPod to factory settings

When iTunes asks you how you want to configure your iPhone, select "Set up as new iPhone" this time through. Test your phone for a bit to see if your battery life improved. If so, you can use this article to use your recent upward to place your data on your iPhone.

Restore your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch from a backup

    Take care!

    - Or should I fully charge and then use remove the charger and only work on battery?

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello

Batteries and Chargers for modern laptops are now smarter than we thought. They stop to load when 100% full

    1. Should I disconnect the battery when I have access to outlet? You, the risk is down, you have no backup power supply and it can kill your machine, speciall if she had a normal HARD drive.
    2. Or should I fully charge and then use remove the charger and only work on battery? This isn't a good idea because the battery will run out and you will need to recharge which means increase in cycles and the charge battery will die earlier.

My option: maintain the battery even when plugin

Did you use the right adapter?

To be honest, it looks like a malfunction of the power supply motherboard maybe electronic issue of power.
the power indicator would start flashing amber if the AC adapter voltage is abnormal or failure of computer power supply.
