How to put a spot PSD file?  DCS works very well...

I just got a spot of a person in a PSD file, when I try to place it in InDesign I get this warning.  Saved as a photoshop DCS and it works very well.

However the domain controllers is often corrupted, as in this thread.

It was probably created by somebody who has taught 10-15 years ago what worked then. They have learned in the days of QuarkXPress and DCS files. (Same world I came... a long, long time.) And they still do.

And it is not that the PSD file does not support multichannel mode. It's that, for some reason, InDesign does not support PSD with multichannel mode.

So, what works in InDesign, it of just add a spot channel into a grayscale file, or add a spot channel in a CMYK file and leave it as PSD. This works in InDesign.
