How to re - install missing USB Root Hub

Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit on an HP P6610F:

Twice after current to run MS updates, two lost front USB ports their root hubs, but their corresponding controllers were still there. This causes their become a type 1 slower port and I get the message to try a 2 port type.

The first time I tried to do a system restore to an earlier date without success. He spent about four hours, with the help of HP without result. I had to restore the PC configuration and then spend two days everything back to this day. That was two months ago.

Yesterday the second failure to breed. In the beginning, before the updates system restore worked. I slowly made many updates into pieces and the NET3/4 updates caused the problem, it seems. Had all updates loaded except for them and all was working fine. So this morning after starting up, the two front ports failed once again with the message not be USB2 and the HUBS disappeared again from the Device Manager.

Is it a hardware problem or a registry problem. If the latest, how to solve this problem and I'm not a PC guru?

Remove the controller does not work.

With assistance from friends, I ran the registry cleaning software, then uninstalled both controllers. Reboot after that which sets the MS caused the problem.

  • Uninstalled the USB root HUB and now computer will not work

    Hello

Just got a new computer and I'm afraid I might have broke it...

My computer is a HP Envy 23-c100xt with Windows 8.

I tried to use one of the ports 3.0 and 2.0 and it wouldn't read my USB, but I tried on another computer so I know this isn't the USB. So I followed some web tips online here and did this:

Click on start and type device in the search for field, and then select Device Manager uninstall USB root hub

Restarted my computer and the screen refreshes itself automatically every 4 seconds. Cannot open any program or even go to Manager tasks.

    Help, please!

    Thank you!!!

Are you sure you don't have anything else? It is difficult to see how to uninstall a device could lead to consequences also as usually convince windows NOT to reinstall the drivers and devices, it is what causes the trouble, not the other way around.

Uninstalling devices does not lead to what you describe.

So I wanted to change the setting for "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" in Windows 7 Device Manager. I accidentally also selected "allow this device to wake the computer".

I want to change the setting back to "Allow this device wake the computer", but it is grayed out.
Anyone know where I can switch this back in the registry?

  • I need drivers for Fresco Logic USB 3.0 Root Hub on Asus 53 SN Win8 Pro.

After a reinstall of Win 8, Manager of devices shows a driver missing for Fresco Logic hub USB 3.0. The series of Fresco Logic FL1000 Controller seems to work fine.

    The hardware ID is FLUSB\ROOT_HUB_FL30
Prior to the relocation, there is no problem, but it took a while to find all the drivers after the upgrade of Win8 of Win7. But I can't remember how I had solved the problem right there. There is no drivers for Asus.
If anyone has solved a similar problem would offer a way, I would appreciate it a lot.

    Hello

I understand that you need drivers for Fresco Logic USB 3.0 Root Hub for laptop running Windows 8.

I suggest you to download and install the drivers from the link.

    http://support.ASUS.com/download.aspx?SLanguage=en&p=3&s=271&m=N53SN&OS=30&ft=22&F_NAME=USB_Fresco_Win7_64_Z301163.zip#USB_Fresco_Win7_64_Z301163.zip

Given that Windows 8 compatible version of the drivers is not available, I suggest you to download Windows 7 compatible drivers from the link and install it in Windows 7 compatibility mode.

See the link given below to install the drivers in compatibility mode.

    Hello

As far as I know Satellite 1900-803 supports Cardbus 32-bit/PC-Card 16 - Bit interface and you can use cards PCMCIA Type II (x 2) or Type III (1 x)
Before you buy the PCMCIA card to USB you should check if it's compatible with your laptop.
But I agree with Quad. The PCMCIA card is a good solution to use USB 2.0

I tried to install 300 photos on a USB I installed and come with an Ox80070052 error message. Please advis how can I install the rest of the photos without the passage of the error.

    Hello BrendaMay,

    ·         What exactly do you mean by saying that you install photos?

    ·         You try to copy photos from your computer to the USB key?

Try to format the hard disk to the NTFS Format USB and check if you can copy the photos.

If does not work, try to format to FAT32.
    1. type devicemgmt.msc in the Vista Start menu or in the Run dialog box.

2 expand disk drives, right-click on your USB key that you want to format it in NTFS file system, and then select Properties.

    3. on the Policy tab, select optimize for performance option. Click OK and return to my computer.

    4. right click on your key USB. Select Format.

    5. Select NTFS from the drop-down list (you can also select FAT32).

    6. click on apply to format your drive to NTFS.

Note: The pilot of formatting will destroy all data on the disk.

If this does not work, try to create a new folder in the drive, and then copy the photos on this folder.

    Thank you

I have an asus X501a windows 8 on it now, I would like to clean install windows 7 on it. This model with no dvd rom usb player is the only solution. Menu of boot Asus is very complicated because it is menu uefi, I'm completely confused, please help me how to clean install win 7.

    concerning

    Mr. Fadil

    Here is the solution:

    (1) place a bootable copy of Windows 7 on the USB key in question (there are several utilities to accomplish this, including PowerISO, v4.8 or superior and USB DVD Tool from Microsoft

    2) access the bios during the startup with F2

    (3) enable MSC startup and Save tab

    (4) re-boot and re - access the bios with F2

    (5) select the USB (the one without prefix of UEFI) as an option of Boot #1 and Save

    (6) re-boot and Windows 7 will launch its installation from the USB

    * Once the initial installation takes place and the machine re boots, you must re - access the bios, WSC, disable and set the internal hard drive as the Boot #1 option and save

I have finished the taks in the order described above and have a copy of Windows 7 X 64 running on the ASUS X501A job.
