How to rebuild icon cache?

How to rebuild icon cache? I have Windows XP Home Edition.

http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/downloads/Windows-XP

Tweak UI

You can use this Microsoft utility to rebuild and repair icons, I have used this utility for many reasons, but I've never needed to rebuild or repair icons, it should work.

You will find on the homepage in the featured downloads tab.

The section icons of reconstruction is being repaired in the menu.

  • Why should I remove every two or three days for correct display of the icon cache icon in Win7?

The reason why I care about is, when I program an application with its own icon, is displayed another icon instead of the correct icon (apparently by a random selection of Windows 7). For example, the icon for Notepad, calc or MS Office Word, Excel, Powerpnt and so on... restart of the operating system function. And Windows shows wrong icon in the folder (or desktop) as "and" in the taskbar or in the window of the application.
Anyone know what this might be caused by?
In Win XP was not this problem and Microsoft cannot fix this in Win7, although the internet is full of it.
Any ideas how to solve this problem of user environment (where Microsoft is not able or is lazy to solve this problem by programming) for longer than two days (or three with a bit of luck) to give advice to users of my apps how to show once for all correct icons?
Because not all users of my application will rebuild icon cache (every two days) to detect the correct icon of my application.
Thanks for any advice and sorry for my bad English.

    Hi Jose,

    Method 1:

Important: this section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs.

For more information about how to back up the registry, see the link:

I suggest refer you to the article and try to run Microsoft fix:

    Method 2:

Try to run Microsoft Safety Scanner for any spyware or malware infection.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

Note: the Microsoft Safety Scanner expires 10 days after being downloaded. To restart a scan with the latest definitions of anti-malware, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again. The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.

  • Word 2007 toolbars icons not showing - icon Cache problem?

Announcement on behalf of my brother, he is using Word 2007 and is having a problem that when it opens, all the toolbars that are normally he presents, however, they have no icons.

For example, he can click on the white square where the B for "BOLD" should be and it works fine, however the B is not there, the same for every icon on the tool bar, there the dropdown list font size, but not the icon saying size etc. Since he knows not all icons on all toolbars out of heart he has trouble using the program now.

I was wondering if this could be a problem with the Office/Word icon Cache, but I don't have any idea how to solve this problem, in this case.

  • How to display icons in FORM 11 g

    Hi all

I use forms oracle 11g 64 bit on windows server 2008 64 bit (fusion middleware) and oracle database 11g 64 bit.

My question is that how can apply icons in forms 11 g?

before this, I create a form with developer 10g with icons on the buttons,.
now when I compile these forms in forms11g, the icons will now appear.

    How to get around?

    Kind regards.

    Hello

    Just do the following:

    1. place the images in a folder of your choice. Theoretically, we will assume that they are found in-> d:\images

2 configure your environment so that ORACLE_HOME\jdk\bin is in your path in order to run the jar utility.

    3. create a jar file using the images in the folder d:\images as follows:

    a. cd d:\images

    b. jar - cvf icons.jar *.gif

    3. copy the file icons.jar in the ORACLE_HOME/forms/java folder

    4. with the help of Oracle Enterprise Manager 11 g Fusion Middleware control make the following changes to the formsweb.cfg:

    Archive = frmall.jar, icons.jar.

    b. = codebase imageBase - this is necessary if you use images from jar files.

    6. make sure that the appropriate entries are defined in the Registry.dat indicating the type of image file used for the icons. In addition, the example used here requires that the value of default.icons.iconpath be blank because the images in the jar file is not in a directory structure.

    default.icons.iconextension = gif
    default.icons.IconPath =

NOTE: You may need to clear the cache of client jar files if you have made changes to the Registry.dat so a new copy will be downloaded.

Reference Note: how to display iconic Images forms 11 g [960103.1 ID]

    Hope this helps you :)

It is not quite clear what you mean. It seems that if you say that you are missing some applications. You should be able to go to the App Store and re - download free of charge as long as you are connected to the same Apple ID when you bought them.

If you find not just icons, you can reset your screen at the disposal of the plant by going to settings > general > reset > reset Homescreen layout.

When I'm editing a Web site on my computer and view the changes through fire fox everything works fine, I just hit refresh.
