I suspect that you are using an older version of Ghost.  I suggest that you contact Norton Support to find out how to work around this problem.  SATA drives need special drivers (or return them to IDE mode in the bios of the computer, but I don't know what will happen good stability when you do) to run in BACK only.

    Hi all

I have a L300 I downgraded to XP. It runs with the SATA controller in compatibility mode and are sent here a lot, it's slow.

I read you need drivers intel for her and so I downloaded the and down them and had an error "your computer does not minimum requirements.

Tried in both safe mode and got the same error.

Now I could try to use nlite and I've used it before, but the file I have is an executable and not an inf and files related to a driver, so I don't know how to add it to nlite. I'd rather do not re - load again if possible.

So the simple question is how I install the AHCI SATA drivers so I don't have to run in compatibility mode.

How to set the printer wireless ad Hoc mode to CP1025nw with automatic stop is off? IE never automatic.

Thank you very much for your help, if necessary.

Quite a few questions, send, but I will do what I can to answer them.

I recommend first to buy a router, even if it's one you won't connect to internet and it network with others your PC and printer. This will give you the best features and the results of what you're trying to do.

In addition, the automatic stop of the printer function can be disabled and is not affected by the type of connection. Usually, you can go through the configuration Menu and select tools to change the options there on the energy saving features.

Finally, the auto off function on your computer is a Windows question, but one easy answer. If you're on a laptop, you can right click on the battery in the tray (lower right corner) and change the settings for energy conservation.

You might be better off installing the printer via the USB cord and alternately inspiring when you use it, but which is not optimal if you are printing only a few documents on an irregular basis. A network connection is the easiest to manage across multiple computers, honesty, but you have certain requirements for this connection and limits as well.

I hope this information is useful!

  • Win 7 Pro X 64; system does not recognize my Sata HDD Ext USB Powered clos

In the recent past, my system no longer recognizes my Powered Sata USB HDD Ext I closed deleted the April May security updates and nothing does not. Two updates would not uninstall: KB3020369 & KB3020370. They were both installed on May 7, just about the time the ext drive was not recognized.

Thinking that the box Sata or HARD drive was unusable, I bought two new nothing helps. I think the above updates are the culprits. All the other external USB work correctly - key USB & USB powered drives Ext. I tried all the mentioned community wrapper work without result. Need help from MS on how to uninstall the updates above? The only thing I can think of to test my Win 7 should save all the files and images to all readers on an ext HDD and do a clean install without security updates. And then install updates one at a time security test activity USB I'm going. Also, I see other people having the same

    problems.

    FIX

Problem solved. In my case, the external hard drive was plugged in and powered and the external drive appeared in 'surely remove the material and the media', but does not appear in Windows Explorer. It was enough of a drive letter. Left click on start, Control Panel, administrative tools, COMPUTER MANAGEMENT, storage, MANAGEMENT OF DISKS.  A list of drives has been shown. Mine has no drive letter. I have a click right and select the simple volume on the dark line, and followed the instructions.

Everything is normal and I already copied the files on it. Thank you all for your efforts and help.

  • After cloning question: I cloned my hard drive storage to a bigger successfully, but now how I reconnect the old hdd?

I want to reformat the old hdd but I fear now reconnect as my cpu works fine.  I don't want to confuse Windows by the connected disk mirror.  I searched through the forums and can't find anything in this regard. I continue to find issues with cloning, which I don't have and I don't want to create everything by making a simple mistake by being impatient and do not ask for help first.

Here's where I am. I have a 120 GB SSD SanDisk with my OS (8 64-bit Windows) and now a HGST 7200 RPM 4 TB HDD 6 GB/s 64 mb cache (the successful clone!) disk storage of data, games, photos, videos, etc.. The HGST replaces what I want the reconnection that is my old Samsung 1 TB 7200 RPM 32 MB cache as an internal backup storage drive but I don't know if it Plug and boot in windows are correct and I can just reformat from there, or if there is something I do with Acronis (software used for cloning) via cd , or if I have to go into bios before reconnecting and do a few manual adjustments it first (if any what should I do?), or any other possibility, I just didn't think. Any comments would be much appreciated!

I think maybe is there a way to connect it to my laptop first, then reformat. that would work of course but there must be a simpler solution and I don't want to be impatient, just try to reconnect to the motherboard via sata and discover I have created a problem to have two readers E suddenly or some other "witch hunt" question post cloning.

To summarize: I have already cloned successfully, do not look NOT of advice on that. I worry just reconnect my old drive and which "traps", I can avoid this case and how!

    Thank you

    Hello

If the player does not have a top OS, just hang up... should be no problem.

Even if the drive has the same name, no problem, because windows will just assign a different drive letter. It can replace the 4 to to something else or it could change the 1 to letter...

Not much. Once your kicked in windows, you can go to disk management and assign any drive you want for both drives letters... Right-click on COMPUTER and select MANAGE

Or... just delete the partitions and reformat it, especially since you saved...

Acronis image will do this I think. I'm sure you could use their Disk Director.

I use both, but I don't remember with certainty if image will be Format\Delete...

There are free bootable programs who will do well. Like EASEUS, Aomei and Parted Magic...

You can either format in advance, or start in windows, do a right click on COMPUTER and select MANAGE, disk management. At this stage you will be responsible to initialize the disk

(select MBR or GPT), and then will come the screen for formatting

  • How to load the SATA drivers during the installation of XP - Satellite L40-18 X?

    Hello

I have Toshiba Satellite L40-18 X with Vista Home OS. Now, I want to install Windows XP, I know that I have to reinstall the SATA drivers, but I can't find USB-drive floppy-disk drive.

I was wondering can I install these drivers of some other player, like a flash drive or external CD ROM

    Thanks in advance

    Hello!

There are two options to load the SATA drivers.

As you know to load from a floppy drive, but if you n t have one, this isn't a problem.

Create your own Windows disk with nLite. nLite is a tool of suppression of configuration and Windows components before installation of your choice, but you can also integrate drivers, service packs, the settings and to this day.
It s a very nice tool and its freeware.
Here you can download and read how to create a disk:

    Hello

    You have two options;
Either you install Win XP with SATA drivers or without the SATA drivers.

If you want to install Win XP without SATA drivers, you will need to draw the SATA AHCI compatible mode option in the BIOS. But in this case the HARD disk, performance would be lower.

If you want to use the SATA performance, then you need the SATA driver.
For this I recommend this HowTo:

  • How to replace the screen & HDD in Tecra S1

Could someone help me with 2 queries?
    1. how to replace the screen? I broke my screen 15 "and have a replacement original but would like to know if this is possible without the help of the reseller, etc.
    2. bad drive c. message is 992 KB bad clusters. How to replace or repair the C drive?
    Thank you
    BL

    Hello

Well, the replacement of HARD disk drive is very easy on the Tecra S1.
At the bottom of the unit, you will find a cover that protects the HARD drive Bay.
    A screw covers. Remove it.
Then, it should be possible to remove the HARD drive.

The replacement of the screen is another matter. It is not easy to remove it. In this case I recommend to contact Toshiba service in your country for details.

    Hello

The easiest way is to use the Windows operating system error checking option.
Please go to the "My Computer", right-click on the drive and choose Properties.
In the 'Tools' tab you will find the error checking. Here, you can mark them automatically fix file system errors and scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors.

  • How to recognize the physical cd in vmware

Hi all, I tried to recognize the physical cd in vmware

    but it is undetectable.

Do I know what can be please?

    Welcome to the community,

What version of operating system and VMware Workstation host do you use? Is this a problem starting from a CD or CD playback, a guest already installed OS (what guest operating system do you use)?

You did that the virtual CD drive is 'connected' (e.g. 'Connect to light' enabled)? In some cases, it may be necessary to activate the "legacy emulation" in the "Advanced...". "CD-ROM settings.

  • How to recognize the manual entries

    Hello

In the tables GL, GL and GL headers lines, how can we identify whether a journal entry is an automated entry or manual entry.
In other words, contributions can be sent in the General Ledger through Interface programs or other methods of importation. We describe it as some automated.
And if the journal entries are made directly in the GL, to identify those automated.

I need to know in a perspective of backend, i.e. which column in the table GL Specifies whether an entry is a manual or automated log entry.

For Ex: In the table of GL_JE_Headers, the JE_Source and the JE_Category mentions hence is the source.
Want, JE_Source Payables and Je_Category can be invoices purchase or payment.
Looking at the above line, we can identify that it is an automated accounts payable entry.
How to identify the manual entries.

    Your help is greatly appreciated.
    Thank you
    Bob

    Hi Bob,

In the GL_JE_HEADERS table, column JE_SOURCE would have value as a 'MANUAL', this indicates that this journal is created manually in general accounting module and not imported from subsidiary ledgers. There is no indicative column for us in order to determine whether it is automatic or manual... not values such as MANUAL and REPETITIVE indicating entries that were created directly in general ledger...
Also in table GL_JE_LINES for the GL_SL_LINK_ID and GL_SL_LINK_TABLE columns, the column values would be blank, because these columns normally contains reference to the basis of the auxiliary accounting transaction... .for a manual transaction it'll not be a reference to the auxiliary accounting, where they would remain under empty...

    Kind regards
    Ivruksha
