How to recover a permanently deleted file [Microsoft Office] in WIN XP

while trying to install Flash player {plugin missing] in IE8, I accidentally deleted Microsoft Office [in Set Program Access and Defaults].}

the subsequent download of a free trial version of MS Office required a key to buy [huh?]

I saw there are opportunities for data recovery, but after googeling for info, I was quite overwhelmed w / outcomes and don't want any more fatal errors.

All I want is to be able to use MS Word again!

Ty

So, you deleted MS Office itself? Or just data?

If you remove Word or Office, you must reinstall it from the file / multimedia that you originally installed from. If it is preinstalled on the computer, contact the computer manufacturer.

How can I stop people deleting files other people created in windows 7? I've had this settings in windows XP. a public folder where no one can delete the files that they did not create. only the creator has been able to delete the folder.

    Please notify.

    Thank you!

You can do almost the same way in Windows 7.  Basically you right click on the folder and choose Properties.  Under Security, you can decide who can and cannot remove the folder (or even see the folder if you wish, to hide from others).

Just be careful.  I recommend not using the "deny".  Just do not give someone the function "allow."  Denials have priority and I saw where people wrongly denied their own access to the folder, and according to the options chosen, you can't "undo" who am wrong.

"Deleting" a file does not actually delete it marks just the space
also available to be used. There are third-party programs that can
sometimes recover deleted files. The problem is that the space used by
the file is likely to be replaced very quickly, and it makes
    the unrecoverable file.

So your chances of successfully recover this file are decent if you
Try it again immediately after the deletion of it and go quickly
downhill from there. If you have used the computer since then (for
example to write this question and read this answer), your chances may
    be very poor now.

But if the file is large enough, it's still worth a try. Stop
using the computer in question immediately, if you have not done
already. Download an undelete program (here, it's a good thing):
http://www.Piriform.com/Recuva but there are many others choose
of; Do a search) on a friend's computer (do not on yours since)
which may overwrite the files you want to restore) and bring it to
your on a CD or thumb drive to try.

If that fails, your only recourse is to bring or send the disc
a company of professional file recovery. This kind of service is very
expensive and may or may not work in your case.

  • How to ensure a permanently delete (shift + delete) file has been deleted and is not recoverable with advanced software

Hi experts, I cleaned my harddrive using shift delete but also normal deletion and then empty the trash. I do so I can prepare to be sold on if I find a moment (and buyer).

I am told however that this actually does not remove the files but brand only as "too accessible writing." And that it takes a while - depending on how much has been marked to be deleted permanently - for these files too write.

How can I make sure all the files I want to permanently delete are not recoverable with advanced software?

How long would it take to write too say 20 GB of data?

Your feedback is very much appreciated.

    Rgds,

    WV

Use Google or Bing to search for 'file shredder' or 'secure erase' software which will overwrite files with random patterns of data, making them unrecoverable by most of the efforts.  HOWEVER, please keep in mind that no matter what you do, away from physically destroy the hard drive, there are always ways to recover files even if these files have disappeared in a secure way.  That's why U.S. Federal agencies requiring a high security have their hard drives shredded into metal fragments when they have access to computers.

  • How can I recover a permanently deleted email from the junk e-mail folder in the Windows Live Mail client?

    Hello

I got an email that was in my folder of spam on June 1, 2011.  Rather than consider this email, I clicked on the 'X' box that appeared next to my Junk folder in my Windows Live Mail client.  This permanently deleted email in my spam folder.  I wish I had this email restored in order to see what it was.  Is there a way to do this?  Thank you!

If the message is not found in the deleted items folder, it went.

Try to restart, then empty the trash.

    Hello

    Welcome to the Adobe Forums

Under your "My Documents" folder, you will see "cached record Adobe Captivate projects"

In this folder, you will see the folder alphanumeric names

    Check the modification date

Open the folder according to the guidelines of your observation

Navigate by "db", then you will see this:

Select all, except "already_in_use.lock" and create a .zip file

Rename the extension from .zip to .cptx

    Hope this helps!

  • How do I open the .snp with Microsoft Office 2007 files is installed? It works with MS Office 2003, but not with MS Office 2007!

I have MS Office Pro Plus 2007 is installed on my computer. I also MS Office 2003 is installed on a different computer. Snapshot viewer is installed on both. My snapshot of work files works with MS Office Access 2003 but not recognized by MS Office Access 2007. It would allow me to save them either! Is this a problem with FireFox (3.6.8)? However, I have no problem, open them using IE7/8 on both computers. Any ideas? Thank you.

I heard about other problems with Office 2007 to 2003, but most of the people do not have Pro/business versions with access, so maybe there's a previously unnoticed problem.

As indicated in my previous post, I don't always understand how you try to access the file. Can you right click and "save link as" to download?
