How to recover emails from comcast to time machine

I use Safire for browser and Comcast Xfinity to the e-mails and I have a folder named saved emails. I'm trying to find this file in order to recover a decade lost emails. I have a seagate backup drive and use Time Machine to back upward. I was able to locate emails but not the specific file these emails were where is the folder of saved emails. Where can I find these in Time Machine? I clicked on what it labelled library with no luck.

They were in one of your many libraries?

  • How to recover emails from Windows Mail?

I have recently reinstalled Windows Vista Home Premium and have now a new OS works perfectly. Beforehand, I used, and now I want to continue using Windows Mail I have place and running in the operating system reinstalled my email address.

However, all of my old emails remain in the folder of C:\windows.old\users\(my account \appdata\local\microsoft\windowsmail).

I guess I missed the boat with export before the re - install Windows Vista and then later import so can suggest you how I can move my email of in my old Windows Mail for my new Windows Mail, ideally keeping the same structure of folders (Inbox, etc.,).

Similarly, is it possible that I can now get my contact list?

    Thank you.

You can try file | Import | Messages in winmail to bring imported, or you can try dragging that the eml files by top the list of an open message Winmail folder and a fall only and they get incorporated into this folder.  Otherwise, my OEX program (www.oehelp.com/OEX/ 32-bit only) allows you to import from a directory of eml files.  The contacts must be under the users\ (oldaccount) \Contacts directory.

How to import emails from Windows mail to Outlook.  I have recently upgraded to Windows 7 and want to use Outlook 2002 for email from Windows mail program is no longer usable.

    The following versions of Microsoft Outlook are fully supported on Windows 7;

    • Outlook 2003
    • Outlook 2007
    • Outlook 2010 (when it came out)

It is recommended to always update your version of Outlook directly after installation to take care of any question of incompatibility which have been corrected.

    Previous versions
    Another version of Outlook is not supported on Windows 7. Although you may install it, any compatibility issues is not corrected. For example;

    • Outlook 2002/XP works on Windows 7, but it has the same problems remember password when using Windows Vista.
    • Outlook 2000 cannot be installed in Internet Mail Only Mode (IMO) and must be installed in company/workgroup (CW Mode) Mode to prevent a mistake wab.dll.

  • I have my time capsule for base station; How do I set up just for Time Machine?

For several years, I have used Time Capsule as a wireless base station more backup Time Machine. I back up a Macbook Air (single user) and iMac with 2 users (two computers running on OS X 11.5). With Comcast Xfinity I need is more like a base station. In fact, I reset my router Xfinity name and password to replicate what was the name and the password to my Time Capsule network. But, now that it's done I can't understand of set up time capsule without set it up as a base station. The installation guide seems to suggest that I could do so by plugging the ethernet cable from the modem to an ethernet port which is not the WAN port. But this configuration did not work. The installation wizard only took me the steps to set up a wireless network. How can I simply we it with Time Machine as an external hard drive?

The installation wizard only took me the steps to set up a wireless network. How can I simply we it with Time Machine as an external hard drive?

Simply turn off the time Capsule wireless.

To do... Open AirPort Utility, click on the Time Capsule, then click on modify in the window that appears

Click on the Wireless tab at the top of the next window

Change the setting for the Mode of network on 'Off '.

Click Update to save the changes

But... and this is a big BUT... This work of pourrait ... and maybe not. Even if the backup on the Comcast network seems to be working, there will be no help from Apple in case of questions or problems of backup.

The reason is that, so that your Time Machine backups be supported officially by Apple, users must save on the Time Capsule wireless, or connect their Mac (s) directly to one of the three ports LAN <>- on the Time Capsule using a wired Ethernet cable connection.

If you decide to try the method of failure to load, please let us know how things work after a few days.

  • Outlook express problem - he receives an email from Comcast, but will not send it.

My Outlook Express cannot find the server to send e-mail.  I receive emails from my ISP.  Any suggestions to solve this problem

It would be useful to include any error message you get when something like that happens as it may for various reasons. However, I'll look in my CrystalBall and suggest this:

Change the SMTP port to 587 and ensure that: my server requires authentication is enabled.

  • Cannot send emails from Comcast account

All of a sudden I can't send e-mail from comcast account from my computer Dell. Is this a bug! I can send messages from the iphone, itouch and MAC very well. What the heck is this problem? I tried the port out 25 and 587. I've turned on auth and off... Nothing helps. When I try to send email I get this error below.

The message could not be sent. The authentication setting are may not be wrong for your e-mail [SMTP] Server outgoing. To resolve this issue, go to help, search for "Troubleshoot Windows Mail" and read the section "I have problems sending e-mail". If you need help to determine the appropriate server settings, contact your e-mail service provider.

The rejected e-mail address was 'DELETED EMAIL'. ' Subject 'test', account: 'mail.comcast.net', server: 'smtp.comcast.net', Protocol: SMTP, server response: ' 550 5.1.0 authentication required ', Port: 587, secure (SSL): no, Server error: 550, error number: 0x800CCC78

Here are the settings that work for my Comcast account in Windows Mail.  How they compare to yours?  Did you ensure that the e-mail address you specified on the general tab is valid?

    Servers tab:

    Information about the server

    Incoming (POP3) mail: mail.comcast.net
    Outgoing (SMTP) mail: smtp.comcast.net

    Incoming mail server

Connect with secure password authentication: unchecked

    Outgoing e-mail server

My server requires authentication: checked.  Parameters: Use the same settings as entering my mail server

    Advanced tab:
