Outlook express problem - he receives an email from Comcast, but will not send it.

My Outlook Express cannot find the server to send e-mail.  I receive emails from my ISP.  Any suggestions to solve this problem

It would be useful to include any error message you get when something like that happens as it may for various reasons. However, I'll look in my CrystalBall and suggest this:

Change the SMTP port to 587 and ensure that: my server requires authentication is enabled.

    If you still have problems, then the Pop3uidl.dbx file is damaged. This is the file that keeps track of what has been downloaded.
     
    Tools | Accounts | Mail | Properties | Advanced. Uncheck: Leave a copy of messages on the server. Then, remove the Pop3uidl.dbx file. You will get the messages once more, but it should be.
     
    Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.
     
    In Windows XP, Win2K & Win2K3 the OE user files (DBX and WAB) are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in Windows Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder Options icon | Opinion, or in Windows Explorer.     You mention that you have enabled suppliers. Given that, you need to change ntlworld.com to something else. This piece of information would be provided by services of sky broadband.

    Check with them for your new name of user and password and other settings required for email as well.

    If you wish, you may be able to import your previous e-mail address e-mail messages to the new.

    Trying to configure Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 for e-mail.  Have AOL account and use Mozilla Firefox.  When you try to send an email, does not send and says "waiting on MSN.  What do I have to use MSN or hotmail account?  Can I use with Firefox or do - I use with Explorer?

    What error do you get when you try to send an email an email?  Also if you go to settings > accounts and open the e-mail of Telus, are the identical parameters to this?

    For the use of POPS :

    • Incoming mail server: pop.telus.net
    • Port: 110
    • Outgoing mail server: smtp.telus.net
    • Port: 587

    Note: remove the SMTP Username and password for SMTP if they inhabit.

    To use IMAP :

    • Incoming mail server: imap.telus.net
    • Port: 143
    • Outgoing mail server: smtp.telus.net
    • Port: 587

It is a State of injury.  I talked with four Tech to my ISP and the last of them said: you can't have more than one e-mail with the same configuration client.  THEN, I ransacked OUTLOOK, Incredimail and Thunderbird in the love of the use of Windows MAIL. (bit error, I think).   Still will not work.  I downloaded utiities compact, etc.. I did all that.  Often, I have to use the Task Manager to complete the winmail.exe process order to contine to all.  I even restored to an earlier date.  What is going on?

    You have that catch in the error message? ......... "Smtp.embarqmail.com blacklist ."
    Embarqmail on the black list of the means will NOT allow you to send because of your past behaviors or habits.
    Call your ISP ask them once again the procedures in order to be removed from the blacklist. It is not just by clicking a few buttons. It's serious.
    Your 4 "tech" people are not only unnecessary, but also ignorant giving you false information. You can reinstall Outlook, but you cannot send with Outlook until the blacklist is thrown.

  • I can't send email from my outlook express (I can receive them). Anyone know how to fix this?

    I phoned my ISP that says that the problem was not with them, it was probably with the norton anti virus firewall. I called norton and they have made a few tests, including disabling the anti virus software and the problem is still there.     If your ISP is also your email provider, they lie to you or the person to whom you spoke was just ignorant...  The error message is a mistake from their server server-side.  There may be no doubt of that.  It seems to indicate that they do not allow more than 200 messages, but the error is rather ambiguous it is impossible to determine what line the error refers and what period of time the limit extends.

    Moreover, the original forum where you posted was on Outlook, not Outlook Express.  I moved your post to the correct forum.

    Well, the error message says it all.  "" too big for server".

    There is a limit imposed by your ISP/mail server, which you don't mention.

    Not only the servers have limits on the size, this is not necessarily the same for incoming and outgoing messages.

    If you say you use the e-mail program and the name of your e-mail server, maybe we can shed light on the more specific issue, but the problem is definitely with them and not Outlook Express.

    P.S. I'm not sure what you mean by 'signature'
