How to register as a reader extended PDF in batch?

For the design of tools to markup in Adobe Reader XI.

Thank you.

Put - another way. YOU need not use this option when your END USERS use Adobe Reader XI. If you want to work with older versions, you must watch the product I mentioned. It is of course a business decision, if it is worth the purchase price of the 5-6 figure is up to you.

  • Digitally sign is gray in CD player unless the document has been saved with Reader Extended PDF - option activate more tools in Acrobat. Is the feature to sign without options Reader Extended broken or has it been removed?

    If we just save a PDF document, users with CD Player cannot sign because the option "digitally sign" in the upper part of the certificates bar is grayed out. According to other information that I read, the ability to sign with earlier versions of the player requires the PDF file to be registered as a Reader Extended PDF with the option enable the tools more. If I save the document in this way, our DC users can sign it. We took the latest version (2015.008.20082). This feature - the ability to fill/sign a regular document (no Reader Extended PDF) - has been removed in later versions, or is it a bug that was not shown or even fixed?

    You can use fill & sign on documents without the form fields.

  • How to quickly save multiple files as Reader Extended PDF? Acrobat Pro XI

    I need to add form fields to fill out hundreds of existing PDF documents on a semi-annual basis.  In order to expedite this process I think I add all the pages in a PDF file, will create the fields in forms on a single page and then duplicate the forms to all pages.  It is very effective.  Then, I need to save each page in a separate Reader Extended PDF file.  If, after you have added and duplicate the form fields, I save the file with all pages as a PDF reader, then export the pages, pages will be saved in the standard PDF format for export.  Currently I have to manually save each PDF Reader Extended file by opening each file for each page, one by one, after it is exported and click file > save as other > Reader Extended PDF > activate tools more...  It would be extremely painful and long, and I have to assume there is a better way to get this done.  However, I have discovered an alternative method by browsing the forums and documentation of the software.  How can I export pages while preserving the file type of the parent document?  Or is there a better alternative?

    Activation with Acrobat Reader is intentionally a manual process, so it cannot be automated.

    The only other way activate Reader is with LiveCycle Reader Extensions, which is also available with PDF Java Toolkit of Datalogics, and these can be automated. Expensive but.

    Another approach is to convince your users to readers Reader 11 or DC, which can save forms not compatible player.

  • No 'Reader Extended PDF' option in the XI player

    I sent a document by a potential employer who must be digitally signed with a certificate.  When I try to use the sign, all to certificate options are unavailable.  Check the properties of the document, I see that the signature is not allowed.

    Check elsewhere in the forums, it seems that the answer for reader XI is re - save the document using 'file-> save as other-> Reader Extended PDF', however, the only options I see under 'Save as other' are 'Text' and 'Word or Excel online.

    So, how can I activate the signature for this document?  I'll also have to create a certificate for it.

    I run free reader XI on Windows 8.1.

    You need Adobe Acrobat for that.

  • File > save as other > Reader Extended PDF > Enable commenting & measure GREY

    I have a PDF form created in Adobe LiveCycle Designer ARE 10.0.

    When I open in the player, all the 'Sign' options are grayed out.

    Under 'Properties' signature is allowed but is not the case with comments.

    Everything I saw, I hope that allowing comments will allow me to use the features of sign.

    The only solution I found on the internet is below:

    File > save as other > Reader Extended PDF > enable commenting & measure

    It is grayed out in my (latest version of) Acrobat pro.

    * Is at - it a way to make this option available? **

    * Even solve my problem? **

    * Is it possible that it is impossible to use these features on this document? **

    At this point, I spent about two hours on this issue and have not been able to find a solution. Very frustrated.

    Thank you.

    Comment is not allowed for dynamic XFA forms, but should be with static XFA.

  • Save the file to Reader Extended PDF

    I created a form in Acrobat 9 Pro for a customer using Reader 7 and they are unable to save the text that they type in the form... that is the whole point of the forms that they needs.

    I did some research and everything indicates that I must save my form as a Reader Extended PDF, but that is not an option during the backup of my files (and my form is closed for editing).

    The only options I have under Save as are the following: Adobe PDF files; Adobe PDF files, optimized; PostScript encapsulated; HTML 3.2; HTML 4.01, CSS 1.0. JPEG; JPEG2000; Microsoft Word document; PDF/A; PDF/E; PDF / X; PNG; PostScript; Text enriched; Excel spreadsheet tables; Text (Accessible); Text (Plain); TIFF; XML 1.0

    I am sure that there is something that I'm missing, and if someone could help me to point me in the right direction, I would be very grateful, as would my customer.

    Thank you in advance,

    Tiffany

    You need to go to advanced - enable usage rights in Adobe Reader, then

    Save the file.

  • Reader extend pdf form in the designer?

    is it possible to reader extend a pdf form in the designer?

    Hello

    You can not buy the CERL component out of the web. As far as I know that you must contact the sales department in your geographic area and to determine which modules you want to buy.

    See here.

    I don't know if the trial here, includes the CERL component, if you have to pay an additional fee to Adobe for each form that is activated through reader CERL.

    I don't have a CERL, so cannot advise on the process.

    Good luck

  • Y at - it a keyboard shortcut for the economy as a Reader Extended PDF with enabled additional features? If this is not the case, how can I make one?

    I use Acrobat 10 on Mac running 10.9.3

    Thank you!

    What you can do is to use a script to the folder level which adds a button that executes this command. It will give you click once access to it, but you will still need to go through the dialog boxes and save the file manually.

  • Save a reader extended PDF form read-only

    Prior to this announcement, I searched for hours in forums and the internet on how to get there, but I can't find the solution.

    I created a simple form in Acrobat and saved with player so he can be saved by my colleagues in Adobe Reader, once informed extended attributes. The problem is now they need to send these customers but in an unbearable state. I don't know if this is possible, but I'm hoping for a simple solution if someone could help me, thanks.

    Create a button somewhere on the form and add the following code to the mouse event to the top:

    // Set these fields to read-only
    getField("Text1").readonly = true;
    getField("Text2").readonly = true;
    getField("Check Box1").readonly = true;
    // continue for any other fields

    // Hide this button
    event.target.display = display.hidden;

    Use only the actual field names that you use in your form. Users should be sure to save as a new file, and I would say that they put the blank form read-only via the file system so that they don't accidentally overwrite it.

  • Allow comments and editing on reader extended PDF?

    My version of LiveCycle is 9 and those who will use the form AdobeX pro.  The form is static PDF, reader extensions enabled.  When it is opened in Adobe, users cannot make comments, change the text or add pages.  Is there a way for them to that in addition to printing to the Adobe printer?  I need to use the best of both worlds - the use of javascript in the form of improved drop-down lists and other features, but those completing the form may have to make minor adjustments in the body of the text or the cross through text, and text editing function does not work.  We must also add a stamp and sometimes to add pages.  I chose the wrong tool for this form?  Tried different versions of reader allowing, remove, etc., but don't seem to be able to get a version that they can do these things.  Appreciate any advice, thanks.

    The rights that acrobat can add PDF files are limited.

    Only LiveCycle Reader Extensions can add all the rights you need.

    This is a module for LC servers and not included in the designer.

  • Acrobat Pro will not save with Reader Extended features

    I kept this way before forms because all users of our forms are only the free version of the reader. For some reason any it now doesn't allow me to save with extended functionality. When I save under and place the cursor on "Reader Extended PDF" it shows my 3 options, but none of them are clickable. I don't know why it backed up before, but it won't now.

    I also have a secondary issue. A form previously, I saved successfully this way does not now work for one of the users. It allow it to save the information entered her. To my knowledge he has not changed and it has been used by a few people. Why would he suddenly stop saving?

    I work on a Mac, but users are all on the PC. I have never had this problem before that.

    It's weird. The that you describe is how it behaves when you are in form editing mode. As a test, I try to close the file, close Acrobat and try again.

  • How to make a form read-only

    I am fairly new to the world of the creation of PDF files, and more specifically of formulas. I created a form with a number of text fields and have the form in the format I want to use. I've added the ability for users to fill in the boxes and then save the PDF file using the ' Reader Extended PDF > activate forms fill-in & Save in Adobe Reader "."

    What I won't do is allow the user to save on the master, they are open, I want that they forced to ' save under... ». Apart from make the file read-only Windows, which, I guess as will work, is there a way to force to "Save As"... "with Acrobat X Standard or reader?

    Thanks in advance

    I answered the question myself, definition of the attributes of windows to RO gives me the desired effect.
