How to remove a bad Windows 7 from the startup folder.

I have a new computer with a version of OEM Windows 7 installed.  Recently, the computer restarted itself and now I am asked to select one of the two instances of Windows 7 to boot from.  The first selection of Windows 7 is one that works while the second is bad.

How can I remove the second selection?

Thank you

John

Yes, it but is somewhat limited, I have use Ghost (you would need to buy - see below) or Acronis True Image. My preference is ghost but free trial Acronis will work and there is nothing to prevent you from using Windows 7 backup system and Acronis.

Setting the backup with Ghost or Acronis is the option (checkbox) to view and include hidden partitions. As the BCD store is a hidden "System" partition don't forget to include this as part of your backup (even though its corrupt)
