Unable to access Mac files when running in Windows.

Applied Bootcamp, running El Capitan and Windows on MacBook Pro 9.2 10.  Fine.  This is all OK.   But...

I want to access my files of Notes from the Mac side.   I can get to the Notes.app in the Applications folder when running in Windows.  I understand that I can read Mac files in Windows.

I can't get to the actual Notes files indicated in the content of the Note.app folder in the Mac partition.  (Running in Windows 10.)

Can someone help me with this please?

Missing Manual instructions ok, so far, but are not real files to open.  ???

Thank you, Mark

Windows cannot write to the readers of Mac format.

  • How to access a VM Ubuntu running on Windows 7?

I have the free reader of running virtual machine in Windows 7 with a Ubuntu VM (it's IP address ends in par.21.) Everything works well.

The IP address of the machine Windows 7 itself ends SS.19

I tried to access, in this case, Tomcat on the Unbuntu VM on Windows like this: 192.168.168.21:8080/manager

(to display the Tomcat Manager application)

    However, it does not connect.

I can connect to Tomcat running on Windows 7 itself, that is, is not running in the virtual machine, however.

It works to access the Tomcat separate Windows: 192.168.168.19:8080/manager

I was wondering if someone can explain what is required to access the VM Ubuntu running on Windows 7 from another computer on the network.

Another test using different operating systems, if I start the Ubuntu VM using VM Fusion (on mac), same IP as shown above, then I peut access the Tomcat Manager of Mac application.

    Source of confusion.

    Hope that answers.

    Thank you

    m

    I figured this out.

The problem was that I had to be on the W7 machine to access the VM Ubuntu on this machine (not doing one double jump IP from another machine: machine->-> Ubuntu VM W7). Duh!

  • I'm unable to access the files on my external hard drive

I have an external hard drive and can't read the files. The device appears on my PC, but no file shows when I go to the device and equipment. My PC is not recover this unit and only not recognize it as a USB device. I can see this under the folder hardware and devices, but there is no entry. Is there a way to access the files or retrieve files? The material of the driver is up-to-date.

    Hello

Try to connect the external hard drive on another computer / USB and check.

If you are able to access the files on the other computer, and then try to update the drivers for the chipset of your computer.

You can visit the website of the manufacturer of the computer to get the chipset drivers.

    Thank you.

  • Unable to access the files from Windows 7 computer to Windows 8

    Hello

I have Word 2007 on two computers, and each has Windows 7 or 8.  I'm trying to share with homegroup.  My goal is to keep my documents on Windows 7 system and access the files (read and edit) the system of Windows 8. I don't want multiple documents, I want just one version.

After you open the docx Word read-only, I did some research and discovered that if I go to the file on the computer with Win7, made a right click on the file, then select residential group read/write, I would then be able to access the computer of Win8 file and edit and save it.  I was able to do this.

    OT: Word 2007 ReadOnly

To make sure that I could continue to do so, I tried again (by selecting the docx on the Win7 system since the system of Win8).  I received one copy read the second time.  What should I do to edit and save the Win8 computer capabilities, without having to physically run to the Win7 to allow access?

    Thank you

I had severel printer over the years and never had this problem. I asked printer support as well and there is nothing wrong with the setting since im capable of printing all other printer files. The same problem is when I get pdf files, I can't print them when theyre opend but if right click and choose Print prints.

What can be the problem here?

    Thank you

Means that you "Print to file" checked; Uncheck the box (Advanced on printing Panel button).

  • Cannot get permission to access some files restored from a windows vista backup

Hello. I just installed windows 7 on a new hard drive. I bought the upgrade to windows 7 Home premium and I had to install vista on the new hard drive first then windows 7.

I have all my files backed up on an external hard drive and I used windows vista backup and restore to do.

I have now restored my files on my new hard drive using windows 7 backup and restore.

I see all my files and folders, but the thumbnails are missing and when I try to actually open a file, a message informs you that I don't have permission to access.

I tried to click with the right button on the files and changing the security, property, sharing and options, all to nothing does not.

I tried a few ways to restore my files too, but nothing works.

If I save a newly downloaded or created file (for example, a photo that I found on the internet) in the same folders, there is no problem and I can access, so the problem isn't that I don't have access to the records.

Another weird thing is that I can access some of the restored files, but no more than them. I can't think what it is on those I can access that should make them different from those that I can't.

So far it does not my simple PC! Can anyone help please?

I should add that I am the ONLY user of this computer, and it is not on a network. Previously, it was the same when I am running windows vista. This is why I'm the only person who should be able to access the files.

Same problem here after restoring a file backup of Windows Vista to a new installation of Windows 7. This solution worked for me: go to the command prompt, change the drive or a directory, you have problems with and type this:

    ICACLS * / reset/t

Edit: You need to start the command prompt as an administrator to do. Find it in the start menu, then right click and choose 'run as administrator '. Then use the command as shown above.
  • ' INVALID BOOT. Message from INI file when you start Windows XP

I get the error message "INVALID BOOT. INI file"when I start the computer, but then, it goes into XP.  Could someone tell me please how to fix this?  I don't have the Windows XP CD because my friends brother died and they gave me the computer, and it was already installed.  I could get the CD if necessary, but I was wondering if there is a way to fix this without it?  Thank you in advance for your help!

If you see a message like this:

    Invalid BOOT. INI file
    Booting from C:\windows\

This usually means that the c:\boot.ini file is missing, but you can replace it.

Miss the file would require a little extra work, since it is normally a hidden system, read-only file, but I can think of many things that is happy to remove it for you.

If the system is working properly, what do you think happened to the system since the last time, he did not work properly?

You now, or have you had the "Ask Toolbar" installed on your system?

Do you now or nave already used third-party applications on your system where the product description includes descriptive as sentences:

cleaner, mechanic, detective, doctor, heal, optimize, clean up, tune up, speed up, set towards the top, compact, compress, faster, power, boost, boost, gum, muncher. guaranteed or all that has an icon that looks like a key, the key or the screwdriver?

In a facility only XP partition has not even need a c:\boot.ini file starts - he's going to complain, but this threshold always begin.

You must create a new file c:\boot.ini.  It's just a text file, so you can use any text editor such as Notepad or WordPad to create a new file.

Here is an example of a simple c:\boot.ini file you can copy and paste the text to a new file. :

    [boot loader]
    Timeout = 5
    default = multi (0) disk (0) rdisk (0) partition (1) \WINDOWS
    [operating systems]
    "multi (0) disk (0) rdisk (0) partition (1) \WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional "/ noexecute = optin/fastdetect

When you get this text into your text editor, do a save as, and save the file as:

    c:\Boot.ini

Answered in the affirmative if invited to replace the existing file.

    Then restart your system.

If the file is missing once again, we need to understand why and fix it.

  • HP LaserJet P1606dn Professional - do not Duplex correctly when running on Windows Vista 64 - bit OS

I have connected this printer (via USB) to the PC running Vista 32-bit, Windows 7 32-bit and Windows 7 64 - bit, and the printer works fine double-sided printing. He behaves badly only when running under Vista Ultmate 64 bit (SP 2). "Misconduct", it's that it is not duplex correctly when you return to the long side of the book (the normal way you duplex)-it always falls on the short side of the book in any application I try on any type of duplex setting. I installed the latest drivers. I suspect that we have a problem of driver here.

In one of the other HP forums, I noticed that this same issue existed on jet printers to all-in-one HP ink several years (and HP has released patches for those), but I couldn't find any announcement for my laserjet model. Can someone tell me a patch for my model on this issue?

    Hi SteveCT99,

Since then, you indicate that the duplex works fine on all other computers except the computer Vista. Follow the steps below to uninstall and reinstall the printer.

    1. open Control Panel

    2. click on uninstall a program

3 uninstall the 1606dn Laserjet list

    4 restart your computer

    5. download and install the latest version of Adobe flash player

    http://www.Adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html

6 download the drivers and full software functionality, and then reinstall the printer.

OK, so I'm a developer and had to use MINGW before on linux.  Whenever I am compile my programs in c ++ and try to run them it says 'access denied' at the command prompt.  My permission are set up right COMPLETELY.  I have full access to the file.  When I click on the EXE, I created it said that I could not access permissions. I checked again and again my permissions.  Impossible to find something wrong with them.  I am set up as administrator and logged as administrator and have full access to the file.  The only thing I can think is that I have Visual Studio installed on my computer and it is perhaps in conflict with MINGW.  If you guys can help me would be great.  Thank you

  • control string unable to update the context when running!

    Hello

I put a chain control in my front panel. but I found the text I typed in that unable to transfer to my program in real time. for example, I type 5 in the chain box and press a button to transfer the character to be somewhere next time I type 6 in this control again and again press buttong. However, this time the controls still trasfer 5 to my program. To fix the bug, I on the occasion of "Update of the value when you type" property of the control. Why? control does not automatically update its value?

Ah. Ok.  I had this happen to me a few more times and I think that what is happening, is that the mouse button event triggers until the string is updated after the loss of focus.  I fixed that in the past by forcing a change of focus to another control before trying to read the string (in this case).  Here, I changed your code to be 'change of the value OK' and I added a white case to 'OK mouse down.  I think that the order of events are treated is the mouse down?, mouse down and then value change in making the case until your writing to DB is running, it gives the chain time/reason to update.

This feels cludgy and probably wrong, but it works.  I hope that someone will be along soon to provide a better way.

In the process of looking into this I took the liberty of your condensation scheme.  I also created a version that did not try to write to DB or automatically exit.  I have attached two versions.

    Hi Tom,

When you create a new application to your specification to Build, you must set the 'Pass all arguments for application command line' in the Advanced tab.

Once you do that it should all work.
