  If you have an administrator password in windows, then the recovery console would need in order to log in the disk system, i.e. the c prompt.

   

  If you tried to do a repair with the cd, then it may not have worked if your cd is the sp2 version of windows on your computer has been updated to sp3 version.  for the sp2 of xp cd works, you will need to uninstall the update to sp3 via Add/Remove programs.

  Well, you can enable the administrator account hidden instead of an account

  You can make the win + r and write lusrmgr.msc in the start search box or in the command run and pressing ENTER. Or, you could open the computer by right clicking on computer management in the start menu and select manage.

  Right-click the administrator account, and then select "Set password".

  Apparently, you have XP Pro or Media Center and have been using the account administrator for your daily work. XP behave exactly as expected; When there is only the built-in system administrator and a second administrative account is made, the built-in administrator becomes hidden because it is not really intended to be used. It is there for emergency situations. However, since you use it you might as well continue. Just make you a third administrative account in special edition. Call it 'CompAdmin' or 'Tech' or similar and do not use it. Save it where daily accounts are alter so you can go back in the system (I hope).

  You should never use the built in the administrator account on a regular basis and the guest account is not intended to be used as an administrator account. The two should is disabled and only used when they are needed. You should do yourself a time account administrator and a standard account that should be used for everything that does not require an administrator. Administrator account must be used as needed.
