  However, they all have several previous versions, starting with HTMLDB 2.0 and 2.2 of the APEX.
  
  I don't want to uninstall the latest version, 3.1.2 just to run household and remove all previous versions.
  
  I looked on this forum and Metalink, but I'm looking for a complete answer, just to be sure.

  I read, I can also delete APEX_PUBLIC_USER, but I'm not sure about this one.
  
  I could also have four or so synonymous public invalid after removing one of the FLOWS_02 * patterns, which I can safely remove.

  Do not FLOWS_FILES or APEX_PUBLIC_USER.

  Check the DAD that you use for 3.1. If the user name in the DAD is APEX_PUBLIC_USER you can remove the user HTMLDB_PUBLIC_USER.

  You can also safely drop old patterns FLOWS_xxxxxx with "cascade drop user flows_020000;", for example.

  Do not FLOWS_FILES or APEX_PUBLIC_USER.

  The most difficult part of the first paragraph is to create the boot floppies - which can be complicated and requires installation of Windows disks.

  Perhaps a third simple but effective alternative is simply to re - install Windows on your computer from the disc that came with your computer or from the recovery partition.  Resettlement will delete all files on the disc and replace them with the New Installation of Windows.  At this point, the fragments of your old files may remain on your hard drive.  So once relocation complete, download and install the freeware 'Eraser' software, run it and you want to specify the "free space" erased on your hard drive.  This will overwrite firmly all the data remains that has not already been overwritten by the Windows Installation.

  b. open Windows Media Player.

  I messed up by trying a "clean install" Win7 (on top of my Acer Vista laptop existing) by installation first on the laptop Acer recovery Partition and then try to correct the mistake by another facility on a data partition (in the hope that the installer would be smart enough to remove the previous installation - it was not!).  I was perplexed because under Vista, installing Windows has always been on C:, and the Acer recovery Partition was on D:.  When Win7 installer prompted me which drive to install on the first time, it offered me Acer C: and D: data, I place the reversal, so I just opted for C: and then found he had installed next to the Acer software, so somehow, disk partitions appear to have been involved.

  The net result is now I have two installations of Win7 and a dual boot black screen that gives me the choice to start at startup.

  Is there a way I can uninstall Win7 since the Recovery of Acer partition (preferably keeping the Acer software stored there, as I want to reinstall some of them later)?

  I burn the software Acer on a DVD, and then format the recovery partition.  You will have to boot from the Windows 7 DVD to format the partition, Windows can sometimes be a bit psychotic, but this isn't sucidal.  You are unable to format a partition with an operating system installed on it.  When you burned the DVD with the Acer software, start from the Win7 DVD, choose custom installation and once the two partitions are visible, choose delete the recovery partition, and then re-create.  Once done and back in Win7, you can then copy the back Acer DVD software.

  You will also need to change the boot loader, right-click on my computer, choose Properties.  On the next screen, select advanced system settings, and then click the Advanced tab and startup and recovery.  Remove the o/s is no longer needed.
