I tried to uninstall sweet im toolbar but still I can not remove it... recently, I use ie8

Step 1:

You have an option to completely disable the sweet im toolbar by choosing Manage Add ons in IE 8.

To disable add-ons permanently

a. open Internet Explorer by clicking on the button start. In the search box, type Internet Explorer, and then in the list of results, click Internet Explorer.

b. click on tools and then click on Manage Add-ons.

c. under show, click all add-ons.

d. click on the add-on to disable and then click on disable.

e. When you are finished, click Close.

    You can ONLY remove the key caps.
    The keyboard cannot be deleted.

    I had the same problem but with Win 7.  I got mine to work by looking for the FTP site in the registry and delete it.

    Run regedit

    Searched using EDIT , FIND , ftp.whatever.com , clicking SEARCH the NEXT

    (Found in HKEY_CURRENT_USER, Software, Microsoft, FTP accounts )

    Right click on the site FTP send me problems (ftp.whatever.com) and deleted.

    Closed regedit.

    Pulled up to Windows Explorer: problem solved.
