How to remove vista so only 7 is running
my child has just installed win 7 but has not removed from Windows vista, how to remove vista so only 7 is running?
Original title: my child has just installed win 7 but has not removed from Windows vista, how to remove vista so only 7 is running?
Hi Tarf,
· Are the two copies of Windows 7 and Windows Vista installed on the partition, or on a different partition?
· At the start of Windows 7 or Windows Vista, you receive two Windows startup options?
· Are you able to boot to Windows 7 and Windows Vista installed on the computer?
You can check the following information on your computer and post back the result to help us analyze the problem and remove a copy of Windows Vista.
Start Windows 7 and Windows Vista installed on the computer and access the computer and check the partitions in Windows to make a note where Windows 7 and Windows Vista are installed and after return of information.
If you are able to make a note of the partition on which Windows Vista is installed, and if you are confident about it, you can start on Windows 7 and check on which Windows Vista is installed; make a backup of data in Windows Vista and later you can remove folders of Windows files, users and the program or format the partition.
I hope this helps. Let us know the results.
Thank you and best regards,

How to remove Vista Total Security 2011?
I recently got the virus 'Vista Total Security 2011' and he blocked me to open my internet browsers. I changed all its settings and completed the process with the Task Manager, and now he let me on my browser. However, now I can't open anything on my computer (for example: Itunes, Skype, etc.) and it won't let me run things I download once I download them. It keeps saying "Windows cannot access the specified device, path or file. May not permissions to access you the item. "What I do and how do I remove this virus?
I'm not very good with computers, so I don't really know what to do... Help, please.
My problem is solved! I actually didn't use all the methods presented here, but thank you for your help. My friend told me I could use "System Restore" and some degree of restoration before I caught the virus.
If any of you have this problem, I strongly suggest you this :) It's really easy and I didn't do much. Thank you all and good luck to anyone having the same problem! -

How to remove Vista? (Dual boot C: D: in Vista, Windows 7)
Hello
I have windows vista Edition full home preinstalled on my laptop (wipro bm4930) in c: drive. I was unsatisfaied of vista and installed W7 ultimate in my d drive. Now, I am fully satisfied with w7 and want to uninstall vista. But when tried to format the c drive, it says 'impossible to format cdrive '.
Please, help me uninstall my system vista.
First of all, you need to remove the dual-boot scenario (this is why you cannot format). Here is the procedure - it is generic, but should work with these operating systems as wel (this is the second series):http://www.ehow.com/how_4558992_delete-computer-operating-system.html.
Once you start only in Windows7 (you have more choice at the start), you should be able to use Windows7 to format the disk containing Vista and then you're done.
Be very careful, because change startup files can cause you to lose access to the two systems - not only the Vista-if you do not correctly. I suggest that ask you that question in the Windows7 Forums; http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/category/windows7 of confirmation for Windows7 is what you want to keep.
I hope this helps.
Good luck!

How to remove Vista on Satellite A200-221?
Hello!
I have read all the threads on this subject, but I can't always get rid of Vista.
I tried the way in which the FDD, but when I click on F6, I know not why, but it just don't work. He did not enter the menu to select another SCSI, Raid...
I tried the nLite too, but does not work either...Help :-(
I have an A200-221.
Thank you.Hello
GParted is don t know for me.
Always is it that your laptop needs to install the SATA driver if you want to install XP on this laptop.
The Intel Matrix Storage Manager contains the SATA drivers, and you can download from the Toshiba page or from the Intel page too.Back to the installation procedure.
You have two options;
You install the SATA drive external floppy driver by pressing the F6 key during XP Setup process or you will create a clean XP CD using the nLite. The two procedures work for sure. In your case if it n t work properly, then * you did something wrong! *
And I recommend to repeat this procedure over and over again and recommend that you check each bet twice! You can also erase all partitions in Vista if you want to use the XP.
Good bye

Why Microsoft has not addressed the removal of Vista Antispyware 2010?
How can I remove it from my pc? I am running Vista professional.
Vista Antispyware 2010 is a fraudulent application that was designed to infect computers running MS Windows Vista operating system. Crooks have applied new tactics, so exactly the same executable malicious when dropped on the PC that uses the Windows 7 operating system automatically configures itself and becomes Win 7 Antispyware 2010.
Thanks for your help.
Here are a few guides removal:

And removal of rogue general security tips:Search for removal here Bleeping Computer how removal steps - of - http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/forum55.html
or here - Malwarebytes malware removal Guide - http://tinyurl.com/5xrpftMalwarebytes' Anti-malware (MBAM) or SuperAntiSpyware will often do the job. Both have free versions and you don't need to buy these programs.
These can work for you, and all can be good. However, in many cases the computer will also infected with other horses of Trojan and protected by a rootkit. These machines are extremely difficult to clean. If your machine is one of these cases, either the interactive assistance to one of the specialty forums listed in the link below, OR take your machine to a professional on the local computer OR backup your data and do a clean install of Windows. It's your choice. I do not recommend using BigComputerStore/GeekSquad types of places.

It changes its name, but it's the same Malware program
Win 7 Antispyware 2012, 2012 Antivirus Vistaand XP Security 2012 are all names for the same fake anti-spyware. This family of thieves is promoted in two ways. The first is to use antivirus scanners online fake state that your computer is infected and then prompt you to download a file that will install the infection. The other method are pirated web sites that attempt to exploit vulnerabilities in programs that you run on your computer to install the infection without your knowledge or permission. No matter how it is installed, as soon as it runs on your computer it will install as a variety of names in different programs and graphical interfaces depending on the version of Windows that is running. Whatever the name, however, they all end the same program with just a different skin to this topic.
