    Hello
This problem occurs when your .exe file associations are broken. This is usually caused by malicious software that changes the default file associations in Windows. Follow these instructions to resolve this problem:
Download exeHelper from one of these two links: link 1, link 2 double-click exeHelper to run the fix. A black window should appear. Once the patch is finished, press any key to close.
    I hope this helps you.

  • Why my PC slow down after loading of Norton Internet security 2012

Why my PC slow down after loading of Norton Internet security 2012

Because Norton is a Devourer of resources. I would say deleting and using a user-friendly program over Windows.

Norton and McAfee are the two least friendly Windows security and swine resource to start programs. My ISP offers the McAfee security suite for free and I refuse to use it.

I used to use Avast in conjunction with Windows Defender, (still a decent option), but since MSE became of age, I have used which. MSE is an anti-virus, Anti-Spyware and Anti-Malware program all in one. IMO, it is a program MS got it wrong. And all of these options are freeware.

If you choose to give it a try, download and save the MSE. Remove Norton and install MSE.

The best way is just to use your common sense and do not download third-party applications, don't use torrents. Except that you can install AdBlock for stop pop ups. If you happen to get malware, download and run MalwareBytes. Malwarebytes was developed by one of our colleagues here to ASC. He received rave reviews and is on the more proven anti-malware for Mac software.

EDIT: Do not use any type of security application Internet only these will create more problems than they solve.

    Hello

I have a HP Pavilion g7_2017 laptop, in Windows 7-64 bit. It is installed with Norton Internet Security 2012.  Norton is configured to run automatically when the computer is turned on.  I think it takes a very long time for Norton at startup.  It takes more than 5 minutes to load once I connect to Windows (this is the amount of time it takes for me to see the icon Norton appear in the Windows system tray).  In comparison, the computer I use at work, who uses Kapersky, I noticed that Kapersky starts immediately.  No one else noticed that Norton Internet Security also takes a lot of time at startup?

    Thank you.

It takes 5-7 min at startup

  • All of a sudden I get a pop-up for "XP Internet Security 2012 - out Version.

Yes, "Unregistered" are badly spelled.  Is it a hoax?  Windows XP won't let me access internet more because it believes that my computer is infected.  I run my McAfee virus scan and it does not detect anything.  Only the user accounts on my computer is affected.  The popups want 'register me' XP Security, but I'm reluctant to do.  He did a 'scan' and shows me 27 virus.  None of them is found when I run McAfee scan.  Any thoughts?

You're infected with a fake security application.  See these detailed removal instructions:

    Hello

Have a pack of service higher than on the DVD is discussed in the links provided.
If you have a DVD of Vista without SP then you will need to uninstall SP1 to use that
disc and later re - install SP1. If you have installed SP1 SP2 disc, then you
you will need to uninstall SP2 to use the disc and later re - install SP2.

Check with the support of Sony. You might be better off backing up the data of the
computer and then return the system back to factory specifications. Of course I
Deletes all programs and data. Also ask for suggestions on the Sony Forums.
